I love how you explained this subject, the undertones and everything. And I loooove how you match your foundation to your body skin color. Looks so beautiful.
Aww thank you! I have to remind myself that there are people of all walks of life and experience when it comes to make up so I need to be detailed but not waffle on haha. It's a find line for me! Glad you enjoyed it! xo
Glad I’ve found you! I’m not Indian, I’m mixed but all my ‘shade twins’ seem to be Indian girls. You’ve helped me decide on what shades to get in some of these :)
Fenty 250 and Mac NC42 are totally different I mean I’m NC 37-NC 40 but fenty shade 290 . Can’t imagine 250 is matching shade for you.. even maybelline 220 and L’Oréal 6.5 are few shade difference isn’t it?? You must be mixing them or use colour correct, but there are more similar shades in each brand . listing my collection for someone who is closer to my shades I go for Mac NC40 /Fenty 290/ Too faced- golden beige/Nars -Stromboli/ Estée Lauder -3CW Cashew, beauty blender 3.3(little ashy, more neutral undertone than warm), Bobby brown -4.5, Laura Mercier - Chai (bit warmer)
Thank you for this! I know they seem a bit different but you also have to factor in how our skin reacts to certain foundation. I like 250 from fenty because it has a warm undertone and it really oxidises on my skin to maybe a 300 colour which is ideal for me. I also use them at different times of the year and my summer shades are a lot deeper than my winter. I like the way Maybelline 220 looks on my skin because the coverage is so light that its almost too sheer and my skin peaks through which I love. I also don't use this foundation all over my face. When I go more full coverage I find I need to go deep in tone because I find my skin really reacts to foundation and causes them to look off on me. Yes loreal 6.5 is deeper but I like to use that for fuller coverage looks. It all depends on how these formulas react on your skin. I love the fact that you brought this up! Thank you! I do like to have a range of colours around my skin tone for when it changes throughout the year xx

I’m not Indian, I’m Hispanic, but I can say I’ve found my skin looks similar to Indian girls here on UA-cam! I have always found it difficult to find a good foundation to match my skin. Hi Simran, I mix the Valencia with Barcelona because Valencia oxidizes, yah I agree the Ex shade is a tad bit darker but I love the neutral undertone and use it mostly on my chin (hyperpigmentation). No don’t bother with LaMer I bought it because of its skin benefits but honestly you can achieve that with a great hydrating toner like the fermented rice toners from Korea game changer in skin hydration. Hi! I use concealer instead of foundation at times when I want maximum coverage with minimum product! Ahhh let me know how the Armani goes! I love that foundation so much! xoxo
You look soo pretty! 😍 This video was very helpful. Thank you so much for the swatches. 🤍✨ It would be even better if you enlisted the products and the shades in the description box. It’s a little difficult to remember them all. Also, not all foundations with SPF will give you flashback. Mostly only those ones with a physical sunscreen will do that. So scan the ingredient list for Zinc Oxide and Titanium dioxide. These are the main culprits usually. Same with setting powders. Setting powders containing silica will leave a whitish cast. So best to avoid for photography
Hi Sanya! Ah I just got caught up in something but wanted to get the video live already. I'll update the description now! That's right the ones with physical sunscreen cause flashback but I'm not sure I know of any foundations with chemical ingredients. You are so right with everything you have said! Thank you so much for commenting this it will definitely help anyone who reads it, I really appreciate it! You legend! xoxo
@@SimSagoo You don’t talk too much 🥺 but yeah there is so much information on this it can be a whole different video Most foundations will have titanium dioxide in small quantities because it’s also used as a pigment. I guess the flashback aspect really depends on the quantity of these ingredients in the products. As far as a foundation with chemical sunscreen goes, I think physicians formula has one. It’s also supposed to be a dupe for the LaMer one so you can check it out if you ever get the chance to. And thanks for updating the description 🥰
