I wanted to thank you for all the videos and tips. I bought a few choppos and slayed my first top water bass this week! Caught about 10 so far and finally got to experience the blow up! You are the man!! Keep it up.
Great tribute to Chris, Greg. Thanks for all your hard work man! All the hardcore prep, fishing and learning matched with these time consuming edits are fricken masterpieces sir! Thanks from all the sticks that watch at work and wish they were there with you guys!
Well Chris is up in paradise winning kayak tournaments rite now. Greg it was great to include him in this. Thanks for the content we love you bro. God Bless and stay safe on this labor day weekend.
Greg, I know how much work you put into these videos... Please know that my son and I look forward to every episode... Especially your tournament stories. You are responsible for getting us into kayak fishing, too. Bought two boats this year and are having a blast. Please don't quit making great content. Thanks again.
When I saw you pull out that black and blue Berkeley Pit Boss up against those reeds, I was like ohhh boy, gonna get good!! Love that color yet usually throw mine weightless. With that split pea soup I know ya need some weight.💪🏻💪🏻
Coffee with Greg and the boy's at clear lake. Love the vids greg. Always learn from you. I've love watching you put a vid together. Besides a great angler, and mentor. You get all the little thing's in the video. Like 2 Otters diving together, that freaky face in the window, the laughs and great fishing. God bless bro..🙏🤟
I have been at work since this has uploaded, very Excited lets go Greg sincerely "The Dayton Metro Smallmouth Slayer" and your fellow brother and Angler🙏🤺💯👋🙌💪🎣🐟💙.
First fish was pitch black dark! That was probably exciting considering TOPWATER as well! Finally got my slayer max 10! Looking forward to taking it out.
Listening to those bass hit the surface would drive me nuts! You even cursed a couple times, so hopefully it pays off. You are one heck of a fisherman! You get them here in upstate NY and out in CA. Maybe it's time for some TX giants too.
I was thrown off at first lol those lime green measuring boards are the ones I first started using in tournaments. Broke about 3 of em before I switched. Good ole days.
Good job, Greg! Took some money home and nice finishes! It's amazing that anybody can catch that any fish because the pressure that lake sees! Thanks, enjoyed the vlogs!
Greg, I’d recommend upgrading the front hook on the choppo to a size 2. I’ve noticed it really helps with my hook-up ratio. Those were some nice fish, it looked like a lot of fun!
Congrats on another tournament where you made the top 10. When you got your limit before 8 am, I felt dejected because I've only managed that once on Clear Lake. I liked how the bass hit you hard instead of the sissy "weight" on the end of the line. I'm here for the fight! Thanks again for a fun video - best wishes on your next adventure 😊
Great weekend of fishing, love the quality of your videos, editing has always been on point but it’s getting even better as you hone your craft. And thank you for putting me on to a good buzz bait. Love the gb special from bl8nkt, got some pigs from a pretty tough pond I like to fish my first trip out with it.
I’m wearing the same pelagic bluefin board shorts right now @2:15 😂🤙 Awesome video as always! Love having a new video to watch after a long night at work. Thanks for the solid content brotha!
It’s so funny that you threw a t-rig and caught a big one I was like yelling at you to throw it last two days too cause I know how it works when they shirt strike frog or something above them, I always catch them on a brush hog or craw something like that
I need a kayak...that is all.lol Greg. You make me want to spend 20k and try to be like you. When you got out of the kayak to free yourself, I knew my chances of getting to areas like that in my 20' v hull were 0. Lol .congrats on a great weekend !!
With that topwater I fish lots of smallmouth lakes and they are notorious for slapping at topwater I almost always put on more than one split ring on and either upside or downsize hook but with that chapo it’s a reeling bait so you don’t have to worry about the extra weight messing up the action opposed to like a spook or something
Maybe you shouldve grinded on em a little harder/longer with that pit boss or another type of soft plastic? Hindsight is always 20/20 they say lol. Love these tourny vids...I could watch em all day.....congrats on a solid finish man
I’m with you how do some of them not get hooked damn treble hooks won’t hook the fish but hook every piece of clothing u have on LOL love the tournament videos
So many of your bites over these 3 days came when you stopped the bait and let it sit for a few seconds because you were doing something else or distracted by something. Crazy.
Hey there, I enjoy your videos & have been following for years… I have only left you 2 other comments & they were the same thing as I’m going to say now… an almost 100% technique for a missed top water hit is to immediately follow up w/ a senko or the likes!! I can’t believe you never try it! It’s like a magic trick. Fish on!
Good job like always Greg. Quick question though....why do you reel right handed on your frog rod and left handed on some other rods?? I'm right handed and all of my baitcasters are left handed reel and it makes it a lot easier to swing with my dominant arm and reel with my off hand (left). Especially on a frog hookset. Jw your thoughts on all that lol
Have you tried the headbanger spitfire? I really like it for these times when you need a slow top water retrieve. Sometimes that hard to do with a prop bate like a choppo
I know you're trying to cover water with the Whopper plopper but you might get a better hookup ratio with a pooping r torpedo popper love your stuff keep it up
Hey Greg, I noticed that you use both left handed and right handed reels. Just curious if there is a reason for that? Thanks for your awesome videos. I’m new to fishing and your videos have helped me a lot.
This sounds very stupid, but try to put a trailor hook on some of your top waters that you can put a top water on. It saves you so many fish, and those biggins that kept missing your bait would get hooked by the trailor hook. Love the vids!
Hi Greg. Wonder if you would give your opinion on the Slayer max 10 now you have been using it. I have the Titan 10.5 and enjoy it but it is heavy. I have an option to buy a slayermax 10. Just wondered your thoughts.
Ah yea!!! Time for some wake and bake before I watch!! Super stoked!
Doin the same thing...cheers. toke up
I just took a second dab
Yea yea yea
This is fucking pure gold. Cheers boys
Bake Gang. My boooooys 🙏😎

Where at? I'm in florida and I want to get one and try it out lol
My pleasure, John. That bait can be a fish magnet when the conditions are right!
Thats awesome John. Got my first top water frog just 2 weeks ago it was awesome. Greg has awesome videos for sure.
My Uncle lived at Clear Lake back in the 80's, I had a chance to see it once when I was like 5 years old. Brings back a few memories I forgot I had.
Stumbled across this channel and you might be one of my favorite fishing youtubers now. Not to mention that we share a first name.
Great tribute to Chris, Greg. Thanks for all your hard work man! All the hardcore prep, fishing and learning matched with these time consuming edits are fricken masterpieces sir! Thanks from all the sticks that watch at work and wish they were there with you guys!

Thanks Travis. We all miss Chris and his name comes up a lot.
When you see a Greg Blanchard video it’s a automatic watch and like, love your content bro 🗣
Greg, I know how much work you put into these videos... Please know that my son and I look forward to every episode... Especially your tournament stories. You are responsible for getting us into kayak fishing, too. Bought two boats this year and are having a blast. Please don't quit making great content. Thanks again.
Thanks Dave. Love hearing stuff like this. No plans on stopping anytime soon. Fish on!
Lovin that hidden camera Casino footage! Could Greg be more badass?
It’s always nice to a good solid crew with. Fishermen are the most solid
Didn't get the result we want but fishing like that is alway a good day...thanks Greg
When I saw you pull out that black and blue Berkeley Pit Boss up against those reeds, I was like ohhh boy, gonna get good!! Love that color yet usually throw mine weightless. With that split pea soup I know ya need some weight.💪🏻💪🏻

Great intro with the throwback footage. You Darkhorse guys are the best!
I love how when you measure em they lay like a sleepy cat, yet I can barely get a good pic because they're still full of piss and vinegar
haha, they were well behaved for the most part this trip
I am glad to know I’m not the only fisherman that talks to his self out loud and says bad words 😂😂
Getting flustered over getting stuck on a rock, and the you step out of the yak and it's barely ankle deep lol I cracked up over that one
I didn’t fish any tournaments this year but have 500+ fish from the pass all the way to Clearlake so 2021 was a pretty fire year that’s forsure
Way to make that top 10, Greg! Thanks for bringing us on these awesome trips - we appreciate the content 👍🏽
When I saw you get the prop stuck all I could think was Mirage drive for the win😅. Great series man and congrats on a solid weekend of tournaments.
Upgrading the front treble also helps keep it from spinning.
Great job Greg! Looks like so much fun!
Day 3!!! Good luck! Nothing like a Greg vid right before you go fishing at 4 am!
That's a good video, thanks again. So glad no one got hurt, especially ur drive! Be safe!
I skip going church to watch this . Was worth it !! 😊
If I were u I would have picked up a heavier swimjig and would have either aggressively hopped it or swimmed it. Keep it up man. Love the vids
It's like deja vu all over again!
Should've senko/swim jig those bass if they missed the frog, usually works for me. But some nice bass there. 💯
Thanks Drew, really appreciate that. You bet, glad I was able to try them this year. Fantastic bait
I’m wearing the same pelagic bluefin board shorts right now @2:15 😂🤙 Awesome video as always! Love having a new video to watch after a long night at work. Thanks for the solid content brotha!
Amazing to see how consistent you are in these tournaments!
Great purpose for the tournament. Tough day brother.
I love watching your vids. Keeps me motivated to fish.
It’s so funny that you threw a t-rig and caught a big one I was like yelling at you to throw it last two days too cause I know how it works when they shirt strike frog or something above them, I always catch them on a brush hog or craw something like that

Congrats to you and Alden!
Thanks for all the hard work and videos Greg!
thanks again for your entertaining vids. Pretty interesting on how slow you were working your choppo.Your 3 days were very impressive!! Great job!!
Congratulations on a good weekend of competitive fishing.
Nothing to be ashamed about. Great video and hoping to see you in Bama one day.
Got to the party late today! But worth the wait forsure! I think Idda tried a swim jig, same color as the bait??? Thanks for all ya do Greg!
Getting stuck on the rock was entertaining. I’d like to hear more cursing in your videos 😂.
Nah keep it clean he’s got kids watching these
@@North_Star_Fishing you’re right. We don’t want a future serial killer because they heard Greg say pain in the ass.
Ohhh the magic of editing 😉
@Chase Rasmussen wassup dude! I guess everyone is watching Greg
That place seems amazing to fish!!
The Departed intro was good!
Told you on a couple vids ago slow and very first light with the choppo or spook is on fire at Clearlake I see you took that info 💪🏼💯
Good morning MR G. Let’s get the lines wet !
Have you noticed D.Kobeoshi put a rod holder by his rt knee, seems so practical, rather than dropping it
Awesome video Greg! Well done! 👍💪
Maybe you shouldve grinded on em a little harder/longer with that pit boss or another type of soft plastic? Hindsight is always 20/20 they say lol. Love these tourny vids...I could watch em all day.....congrats on a solid finish man
Great videos Greg. Always enjoy what you are pisting. 6th place to great job man. Grrat content
Got the clean shave working!! Looks good 👊🏼
Yak USA......at first I was like Greg's part of the Japanese mafia? Hes not even Japanese. lol
Great content, as always. Love the tournament videos.
Morning folks catching some video waiting on daylight headed to slay crappie again caught my limit yesterday
I’ve binge watched nearly all your videos it’s a sad day ☹️☹️☹️
Little tip bud, when you miss a fish cast back at it with a wait less senko an 5 out of 10 times they will hit it again. Fish on
Favorite moment of vid has to be when Greg left the boy Mike hanging at 4:08
I've been really looking forward to this.
I’m with you how do some of them not get hooked damn treble hooks won’t hook the fish but hook every piece of clothing u have on LOL love the tournament videos
11:29 last week I caught a pair of raybans on a football head jig out in front of the red houses dock 😂😂😂
Wow. Actually a handsome face underneath that caterpillar!
Love it brother…stay dedicated!! Your dope guy!
Thought it was a throw back video. Greg cut off the goatee!
Love your vids
So many of your bites over these 3 days came when you stopped the bait and let it sit for a few seconds because you were doing something else or distracted by something. Crazy.
Hey there, I enjoy your videos & have been following for years… I have only left you 2 other comments & they were the same thing as I’m going to say now… an almost 100% technique for a missed top water hit is to immediately follow up w/ a senko or the likes!! I can’t believe you never try it! It’s like a magic trick. Fish on!
Definitely need to try that! Honestly and as crazy as it sounds I don't think I had any senkos with me - all drop shot stuff
Finished in the top 10!
I was wondering when you were going to put on the craw!!😂
I miss the stream of the ipa when I was with you guys lol
Have you tried the headbanger spitfire? I really like it for these times when you need a slow top water retrieve. Sometimes that hard to do with a prop bate like a choppo
I know you're trying to cover water with the Whopper plopper but you might get a better hookup ratio with a pooping r torpedo popper love your stuff keep it up
Awesome series of videos Greg.
You produce the best content
Great stuff as always my man!!!
Hey Greg, I noticed that you use both left handed and right handed reels. Just curious if there is a reason for that? Thanks for your awesome videos. I’m new to fishing and your videos have helped me a lot.
Yessiirr new video about to get out myself right now!!!
I was chanting: PUNCH THE TULY’s… then you did 👍😄
Nice video as always love the YAKUSA shirt!
yessir! love that shirt #YAKUSA!
Amazing trip and awesome video man!
Looks like it was a fun week of fishing. Im curious what was that bracket on your drive?
I was just about to type a comment asking if you tried flipping the tulies
I'm so hooked on your videos! get it :p
Dumb question but why is it called clear lake when the water is go green lol??
Never leave fish to find fish. But cool vid. Should have ran a shallow square bills
Greg, @13:49 Do you think a mirage drive would have had that same issue with the rock/stump?
What determines if you use Palomar knot or Jimmy Houston knot?
Yo! Are you using left and right hand casting reels?
Another great vid!
Ham sandwich!!!
This sounds very stupid, but try to put a trailor hook on some of your top waters that you can put a top water on. It saves you so many fish, and those biggins that kept missing your bait would get hooked by the trailor hook. Love the vids!
Great content as usual
Suggestion. Use a drop shot for when you get miss strikes
Nice top 10!🤙
Hi Greg. Wonder if you would give your opinion on the Slayer max 10 now you have been using it. I have the Titan 10.5 and enjoy it but it is heavy. I have an option to buy a slayermax 10. Just wondered your thoughts.
