Leave it to Trumpeter to mix up stuff again... The engine was called a D331 in german army service Only post WW2 when the west german Bundesbahn did take in the surviving engines did they become the V188 (and later BR 288 / Baureihe 288). Otoh: If you do not like the paint scheme - you can build them in 1950s or 60s west german Diesel engine (red body, black accents)
