Really is the best chicken I've ever had, regardless of cuisine. I go to this place often being as though my aunt lives right down the street from it. And I've taken countless coworkers and friends there to experience it for themselves. Great place, great food. One of my favorites
this peruvian chicken is so delicious..! in general, peruvian food is amazing..! as a canadian, I was lucky to try this place and I dont regret getting stuck in traffic for so long!
You know what crazy is el pollo rico here in austin started off as a drive though shack now we have restaurants through out the city . Same chicken but the green sauce is crack lol is it the same in cali that the green sauce rules supreme.
I eat here all the time. We call it Crack Chicken and that's no lie. This stuff is AMAZING. If you get there any later than 11:30, it's packed, yet we all stand there and wait in line for the chickeny awesomeness. There are plenty of Peruvian chicken places all over now, but none are as good as this. None.
Anthony Bordain is the man! Is this place the same as El Pollo Regio? My mission is to duplicate the chicken marinade and their green creamy hot salsa...Anyone out there have a clue on what the recipe may be?
I tried that chicken about 12 years ago when it was in Maryland just north from DC I went back a couple of years ago and could not find it anymore but seems that was moved to Virginia Does any one know the address ????
Pollo a la brasa ... or peruvian chicken cant be duplicated... because .. their ingredients .. are peruvian, huacatay, aji amarillo, aji panca, and many others ... so .. only a peruvian can duplicate that .. or maybe .. make a better one ...
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘂𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲 𝟲𝟬𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝟳𝟬𝘀 were the best at pollo a la brasa. I went tto Peru at the end of the 90, I visit 𝗝𝗿.𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗷𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼, 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗮, were I used to eat my pollo a la brasa, but the japanese went back to japan because ot the crisis. Natives took the pollerìas, and was not so good as before. Even the cebiche has changed, now they add 'canchita', something that I found inacceptable. Canchita does't go with cebiche.
y el lomos saltado, ceviche , papa a la huancaina, causa limeña, adobo arequipeño, rocoto relleno?, viniste y no probaste una de las mejores gastronomías del mundo :``v

Nope. Canchita it really goes with ceviche. Peruvians love canchita. Pollo a la brasa is peruvian food, not japanese-peruvian. It never was.
Not in the same plate but as an appetizer.
