I think it's high time board game designers started thinking of including some sort of simple calculator time electronics components to take care of much of what is "the hassle part" of boardgaming. I think the future is in electronic components in boardgames. With the advent of LED lighting, even a 5 year old can build a simple electronic circuit with a switch nowadays. So much could be used to take away the "boring" part of boardgaming.
I would agree with you, and so far a lot of what has happened is to integrate a game with apps on smartphones and tablets. Tablets. My only concern is if electronics age, and our outdated or stop working. Cardboard and paper, fortunately, has a pretty long shelf life.
@@LegendaryTactics oh awesome! I love all your vids on these long forgotten classics! The BattleLine version is a bit simpler than the AH. Only one page for all the charts of the game 🤓 I believe there is a mod for vassal somewhere…not sure though 👍🏻
Yes. We have the app, but it didn't allow us to film a multiplayer game very well. If you are curious about Tabletop Simulator, we did a video about it: ua-cam.com/video/C2X6vhmHwq8/v-deo.html

Hello Legendary, any chance you can do Battleline's Submarine (1976) at some point? Thank you!
Good Lord, I still have the Avalon Hill version of it :)
I'd be happy to look into that one - I have heard it is fun but a bit on the complex side
Nice!

Yes, Cax discovered it right after we filmed this. I've tried it and it is pretty well done!
