🔥 In this video, my main aim was to clarify to beginners what slip is, as I often get asked about it. I just wanted to demonstrate that it's not some "special glue" but simply clay. It's not always necessary to grind clay into powder to make slip. You can simply soak pieces of dry clay in water and then blend them. ⚠ Also, I forgot to mention an important safety tip: silica can be very harmful to your lungs, so it's essential to wear a mask for protection.
You don't have to grind the clay into powder, I explain more in the subtitles. The aim is above all to explain what the slip is, that it is not “special glue”.
Thank you very much, this kind of support helps me a lot to continue to develop the channel. I got back to the videos seriously for a few months, the quality is improving little by little. I hope it will continue like this.
oh it's just that my main activity is to make pots for bonsai, it's specific to bonsai. These holes are drainage holes, or to pass holding wire to tie the tree.
Why does the clay need to be dried, crushed, and then re hydrated? Why couldn't water just be added to wet clay and mix well until you reach the same consistency?

I just use old pieces that have broken in a plastic bag and bang, so no dust and add to hot water and mix
This was a great video but that dust gave me extreme anxiety

Your channel is really great, I've subscribed your channel and I've turned on your channel bell so I can watch it every time you upload a video.

I’d love to know what all the intricate holes on the bottom of the piece are for.

You make a lot dust, very dangerous. You don’t need to make dust to make slip That dust contains silica
