    tracy mcgrady is one of the most natural talented players of all time. injuries and work ethic set him back big time. he could have easily gone down as top 10-20 all time greatest players in the league.

    Its not about what you have done in a season its about the thrilled and excitement you bring to the fansT-MAC IS AMAZING AND FOR THE EVIDENCE :McGrady scored 13 points in the final 35 seconds to rally the Rockets past the Spurs 81-80. Houston trailed 74-64 with just over a minute remaining, but McGrady nailed four three-pointers down the stretch, including the game-winner with 1.7 seconds remaining. ''For all those fans who left the game early ... ya'll missed a great game,'' McGrady said.

    T-mac i just wanted everyone to know when him and yao stayed healthy they were the two best duo to ever play the game and almost broke the record for the most consecutive wins!!! every year the rockets start out being the best team then they fall off.. bc of injury!! Mcgrady would be considered one of the best players to ever play the game if he could stay healthy

    That Year T-Mac almost set the record for most points scored in an All-Star game. He was the team that year. If they had not lost a close one, he would've been the MVP instead of LBJ...

    honestly i like McGrady but his days are done. when i was in elementry skool, biggest names in the game- iverson, carter, mcgrady. look at them now. all still have talent and grace. but all hit there prime within 5-6 years. iverson - ROTY, scoring title, 00-01 MVP, brought team to finals, carter- ROTY, greatest dunk champ, mcgrady - MIP, scoring title. u wud think they has more. all this within 5 years of their career

Something that Kobe never did! This guy could score at will and if he had the talented teammates like Kobe...the sky was the limit.

  • @whomiketrann

    @anjoskold McGrady had a great basketball body, he just didn't have good conditioning. It was clear he didn't train much or hit much weights. Without conditioning and or weight training, injuries come easier. Wade was always getting injured before he started training with Tim Grover (Michael Jordan's trainer). After he started working with Grover, Wade came back with a 30 ppg season onto his scoring title.

  • @Tzitskas
    @Tzitskas 15 років тому

    ok i won't tell you anything but this: go and check tmac numbers back then and you see they are better as well as tmac's kind of playing which is a lot more talented compared to lebron...you can't compare james to magic...he was an exellent ball handler just like tmac and a great shooter,,almost like tmac....if lebron doesn't upgrade his basketball quality he will never be like that tmac back then or johnson...he relies on strength..this is not bball...and what about kobe....this is skill man

  • @whomiketrann
    @whomiketrann 13 років тому

    @DeathMetalforever My comment makes perfect sense. I NEVER said that injuries don't happen with training/conditioning. I said quote, "injuries come easier." Injuries are inevitable, it's impossible to avoid. But with good conditioning and training, recovering from injuries are much easier, it's a fact. I even used Wade as an example to prove my point. After training with Grover, he has only missed a TOTAL of 14 games. He missed 31 games in only ONE season before training with grover.

  • @ThaTruth223
    @ThaTruth223 13 років тому

    @TheHayray57 okay they avergaed 50 ppg as a dou but that wasnt for an entire season because either yoa or tracy were injured,and the 22 game win streak was an example of the rockets having a good team around them as well because landry,battier,alston,jackson,head,scola,and hayes contributed to each of those games and especially when yao went down.Dont get me wrong they were great together but they go nothing besides the streak,and they never go out the first round when both were playing

  • @TheHayray57
    @TheHayray57 13 років тому

    @ThaTruth223 it wasnt just kareem and magic... it wanst just jordan and pippen.. and shaq and kobe had a better team.. but even statically... when yao wasnt hurt he was averaging 25 points a game and shooting 51 percent.. and it was his third year in the nba 2006.. him and tracy averaged alone 50 points a game.. more then kobe and shaq i believe,.. and the fact that they had a 22 winstreak...with out yao says alot.. if they both stayed healthy they would of been the best duo..never know tho : (

  • @twatringer

    @stevel920 Great players to never win an MVP: Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, George Mikan, Rick Barry, Isiah Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, John Stockton, John Havlicek, Patrick Ewing, Gary Payton, Clyde Drexler, And arguably in the top 3 greatest players of all time, George Gervin. My point? MVP's don't make a player great. There are many great players in the league at one time, they all can't win MVP's. But that does't mean they're not great.

  • @ThaTruth223
    @ThaTruth223 13 років тому

    so i see a lot of kobe sucks comments,tisk tisk,are you trolls really gonna believe that or is lebrons over hyped skills too foggy to see real skill.Yes he can pass better,rebound better,and he can score better (due to kobes age).But lets face it besides Tim Duncan Kobe is one of the most skilled players playing today.Work ethic,leadership,professionalism,maturity,and a killer instinct are things that lebron lacks and kobe thrives on.When he polishes his game and show class then ill respect him

  • @Zangetsu1435
    @Zangetsu1435 13 років тому

    @SuperRafa1212 That's all I'm saying. Karl Malone and John Stockton were great players, but not the best players ever to play, just like LeBron. Michael Jordan stopped Malone and Stockton from winning. Tony Parker in 07 and Dirk Nowitzki this year stopped LeBron. That's the only point I'm trying to get across: That LeBron James is hype. Only because people compare him to greats like Michael Jordan and other champions.

  • @pokeriotevas
    @pokeriotevas 13 років тому

    @Zangetsu1435 Steve Nash didn't win a ring, but he's arguably the best PG in the league. Reggie Miller never won it, but he's one of the best shooters in the game. Malone and Stockton never won a ring, but they're probably the best duet ever in the history of NBA... And so on. Truth is there are much more great players than there are rings and players who didn't win it should not be slayed for it. James is great player, as well as Miller, Nash and others are/were, it's not all about the rings.

  • @lbjblf
    @lbjblf 13 років тому

    @LiLSiCk916 mj had great role players and that's what it takes to build a dynasty. That's why LeBron never won a title in cleveland, cuz he did not have great role players. But Michael Jordan was the great human being to ever pick up a basketball. Tmac never made it out of the first round and if he was a great player, regardless of his team he'd get outa the first round, like lebron did with cleveland many times, even takin a HORRIBLE supporting cast to the FINALS.

    Please dont be blasphemous...Kobe is not on Bird or Magic's level...his regular season numbers were always better than his playoff numbers...he needed a Shaq or Gasol to help lea the way..Shaq got him his 1st 3...Gasol saved him so many times...2 yrs ago when that stupid Houston team locked Kobe to 12 points in gm 7, Gasol popped 30...how the hell did they give him finals mvp this last yr??? and u wanna compare him to the god of the game?MJ?? 6 time nba finals mvp..hilarious

  • @MirrorballMankind
    @MirrorballMankind 13 років тому

    IF IF IF! Keep coming up with more "IF"s T-Mac fans because that is the only way anyone can compare him to the actual greatest players of the game. IF IF IF!
    While Kobe has reached the level of being measured to Michael, Magic, Larry, and Kareem.... Haters are still bumbling to find ways to put players like Tmac, Iverson, and Lebron on Kobe's level. Hilarious! XD Kiss the rings you delusional know-nothings.

  • @topografer
    @topografer 13 років тому

    @AllKobe24 So you don't if he can't win a championship. I was the first one to say Heat ain't gonna play good this year. But if they get hot like they did in LA i don't there is anything in the world stopping him. So let's wait and see what happens and then we can decide if LBJ can win a championship or not. Offcourse if they will they are all gonna say he needed 2 more stars to do it. Anyway... life is never fair

  • @topografer
    @topografer 13 років тому

    @AllKobe24 And kobe can? You live in your own dream if you think Kobe or MJ or anyone won a championship on his own.. And by the way don't bother saying that kobe has 5 rings and Lebron doesn't have one. Cause i will answer in James' age MJ didn't have either, and then i will say that robert horry has 7 rings but that doesn't make him the best player in the nba. i respect kobe i love it when he is hot but relax man he is not perfect, nobody is.

  • @kingjamessolja
    @kingjamessolja 14 років тому

    @RealDeal336 the only thing kobe is better at wich a lot of idiots hallucinate over and take and run with it...is kobes post pivot skills and post jumpers...nicer looking shot (not better)...and smoother ball handling....those things mostly have no effect on a players efficiency and productivity...goddammit son im tired of owning you...i know so much more about basketball then you and its clear....just stop watching this game...go analyze baseball kid...or golf....

  • @kingjamessolja
    @kingjamessolja 14 років тому

    @RealDeal336 funny how u have to rely on what mj says and cant read inbetween the lines cuz apparently u dont have enuff basketball knowledge 2 form ur own opinion so u have to take MJ's word for it...jus cuz MJ is the GOAT doesnt mean everything he says is true n correct...he has his own opinions that are just that..a lot of wich are driven by his own emotion...meaning its hard for him to be unbiased..whereas if jerry west says lebrons better than kobe and could be the GOAT that means something

    @armiasazariya If miami has to go to the championship finals the bulls & orlando are the only 2 teams to challenge them before they get there. Stop talking crazy like the bulls do not have a squad. Miami has 2 superstars with big egos & 1 all star. The bulls have the best all around complete team in the east. Miami not so much, 2 superstars 1 all star & a bunch of scrubs. This is not nba 2k11, the heat are not untouchable.

  • @Mr100percentreal
    @Mr100percentreal 14 років тому

    @kinnamank If you check his playoff stats he averaged more almost everything, the only player he had to back him up was Yao & Yao stayed injured. Also around that time the west was extremely competitive. The bulls maybe the perfect team for him to show you. Whether he is a starter or not he will be a factor as he always has been. Everybody talks about the heat, the heat only look good on paper. If lebron or wade gets injured thats the same playoff team as last year. Bulls VS LA come playoff time

  • @Kdaddy61987

    @westmatt007 im not a huge fan of any player i just like good basketball. I dont give the best players to much credit because basketball is a team sport. You saw in these playoffs what having good support players does, for instance kobe didnt make 1 game winning shot or play but his teammates did. You saw steve nash again take a average group of guys to the western finals and you saw lebron throw up the white flag. Also kobe the best player? Didnt steve nash beat him a few years ago.(kobes prime

  • @Kdaddy61987
    @Kdaddy61987 14 років тому

    @westmatt007 naw not a huge fan of him either but i do think hes better then kobe right now. Kobe shot 40% against the thunder and the celtics. 1st and 10 showed a stat where he shot less then 40% in the 4rth quarter. Pau was actually the best player for the lakers through out the whole playoffs. He made boozer to small and outplayed kg by far, where as kobe struggled alot of games. Kobe in game 7 vs boston almost cost them the game with bad shots and to. Pau had 9 off rebounds.

  • @supaasheek
    @supaasheek 14 років тому

    @MW2Addiction Kobe better than Jordan in his prime? Yes he has done JORDANS moves but he would only have been able to do them from watching Jordan in his prime. Not only that yes it is impressive when Kobe has 3 players guarding him but then again thats just Kobe ball hogging. And comparing Kobe pulling off moves compared to Jordan is ridiculous considering how easy it is to pull a foul in todays game. Back in Jordans days the defense was a lot harder to get by as fouls were not caused by a poke

    3rd best scorer ever, never really had a long playoff run so what does that mean? How about these stats for you:0 playoff wins, 30 games played this past season(his team makes it to the second round), here is a better stat for you other than scoring titles: .438: tmac's career shooting percentage. He would whip my ass even if he was injured? no shit, he's in the damn nba. I never said he was a bad player but he is nothing compared to lebron and kobe.

  • @cam4hmrs
    @cam4hmrs 15 років тому

    Why is everyone saying that tmac is the 2nd best player in the league? This is the same guy who has never won a playoff series, right? Honestly, I don't think a single NBA team wants him right now. Think about it, a very talented guy who gives you 30 games a year, shoots a low percentage, and if he is healthy for the playoffs, he will choke. Yeah, it'd be difficult for me to even consider him as one of the top 20 players in the league.

  • @Tzitskas
    @Tzitskas 15 років тому

    yes agree driving ability is important.james has this...this is the real truth..as you said james is a better defender,,,a better rebounder and a greater passer as far as assists are concerned...but that does not mean he is a better playmaker....tmac has greater dribble,,he can make dexterity drills,lebron can't,,and also his passing abilities are proven great although he doesn't get as much assists as LB....some of tmac's passes are like magic's ones..and of course tmac is a better shooter

Which is EXACTLY why LeBron didn't win in Cleveland. 1st year with a new team and they make the Finals? Get ready to see your hero fall buddy. Miami Heat are about to take your favorite player #24 off the rankings.

  • @Zangetsu1435
    @Zangetsu1435 13 років тому

    @SuperRafa1212 If he's the most dominant player in the game, why has he still not won? He's in his prime with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, who all are still fairly young, and they lost to a team whose best players were in their mid to late 30s, way past their prime. LeBron James = OVERHYPED. LeBron the King? King of what? King of coming up short?

  • @Zangetsu1435
    @Zangetsu1435 13 років тому

    @SuperRafa1212 LeBron is hype. I rooted for him until he decided to leave Cleveland. Yeah he's a great player, I never denied that. But he gets attention like he's the best player to ever have played. He hasn't proved that yet, let alone win a championship ring. He teamed up with two other superstars just for that reason, and STILL lost.

  • @Zangetsu1435
    @Zangetsu1435 13 років тому

    @SuperRafa1212 Stats aren't everything. 0 for 2 in the finals. He basically left his own town and formed a super team, and still couldn't get the ring. Not saying that LeBron doesn't have the potential to be something greater than anything we've ever seen. Just saying that as he is now, he's overhyped. The attention most people give Lebron is something only a champion deserves.

  • @TheLeBronJames6Fan
    @TheLeBronJames6Fan 13 років тому

    Part of being a great player is working to keep your body healthy and in good shape. LeBron James does that, as he constantly hits the gym. Tmac never really did that, which makes LeBron the greater player. And if Tmac had never gotten injured in his whold career, and faced against LeBron now, LeBron would own him.

    6 for 24
    games like that he bitch to the refs to the freethrow line which get him points
    and another thing when kobe stop going for stats la is the best team, i mean when he scores under 15 his reb ast and stuff is up they blow teams out when he put up 25 plus, they either lose or when by a pt or 2

    @lorenllbj88 did kobe retire yet? He's getting old...this is his last year as a true performing team leader in my mind...the team is going to carry him this year, while he claims all the accolades of a winning season....while lebron takes on most of the load of a team in shambles, just like he did in Cleveland.....kobe WAS better, until this year....now it's LBJ's turn

    T-Mac is coming to the bulls tomorrow. He will prove all you haters wrong. How can people say he is a loser when he has been injured for 2 1/2 years. This guy lead the league in scoring & was once either on kobe's level or better. In his debut game for the knicks he dropped 26 points. People are so dumb nowadays. Bulls 2011 Champions!!!

    @RoyalEFFnTee great point, robert horry has 7 rings and averaged 8pts and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes of gameplay in the playoffs. Man the rockets,lakers and spurs were so lucky to have him make 2 or 3 shots a game. Malone,barkely,dirk you'll never be as good as robert horry. Thank you for correcting me, slipped my mind he won 2 with the spurs.

    @westmatt007 steve kerr, robert horry, and derek fisher have 5 rings too but in no way shape or form are they better then reggie miller,karl malone or john stockton. Just means they were on the best team. Kobe had plenty of games in the playoffs where he stunk it up, if it wasnt for his team they would of had 2 game 7's in the west and lost game 7 in the finals.

    @1kennykong he will never be as good as lebron though.
    i mean
    Durant at 21: 30.1 ppg 7.6 rpg 2.8 apg
    kobe at 21:22.5 ppg 6.3 rpg 4.9 apg
    tmac at 21: 26.8 ppg 7.5 rpg 4.6 apg
    lebron at 21: 31.4 ppg 7.0 rpg 6.6 apg
    even though durant at 21 is the youngest scoring champ in nba history. LeBron averaged more points then him at 21.

    @1kennykong i don't know leBron's pretty. I hope durant can be better but i just don't see it happening. Lebron will dominate this league for the next 10 years. (unless that shoulder get's worse). And Arenas was good but injuries screwed him over. he's pretty old now + he's coming of an injury, i hope he can play like his old self.

    @TalkNewYorkSports i must have missed that time. maybe it was when T-Mac was at home, watching the playoffs because he failed to advance. unlike those two. get real man. lebron and kobe are the legends of this generation. future generations will ask about those two, not about t-mac's exploits in a meaningless All-Star game or riding the pine in Houston.

    Perhaps you mis-read my comment. I said that there was nothing significant about this. Its apart of the game. I guess you can post these moves up for highlights but in the end, I think it's really no big deal. This wasnt the first time Lebron got crossed and it wont be the last as long as he's still playing. IT'S A PART OF THE GAME.

    damn, i wish t-mac didn't have all these injuries throughout his career. if he didn't, he definitely would have been the most exciting player of the decade. seeing the way he played at the ages of 24-29 was just crazy. and he definitely was better back then, then kobe at his best. its disappointing to see him going through all this right now.

    You haven't been watching basketball for very long have you? T-Mac during his prime was the most explosive scorer in the NBA, and up there with Kobe as 1a and 1b for the best player in the league. I completely disagree with the fact that T-Mac never reached his potential, he definitely did, he just fell off so much the last few years people don't remember how good he used to be.
