Clayhall and Gants Hill know it really well. Definitely wanted to visit Barking Park again but time may be a factor as I wish to be travelling again.

Been in Spain 39 yrs.. left UK because 19% interest . I was killing myself . Hate to say it now but was well involved in labour party .. not looney left though ..always remember at a big meeting think it was Camden town ,,hold a door open for two girls don't laugh I got a abused for being a male chauvinism pig. . Now a lot of them you cannot even call a girl now .. Best thing about Spain is the guardia civil ,you feel safe . Yes similar things go on here I admit especially with these boat people . But the guardia soon sort them out. Man beats wife ,Guardia called. Man locked up and falls down steps going to cell . Yes as I said similar things go on all over Europe natives or immigrants . Sad modern times ..

Shame nothing was listed on the Boylen Ground. I know plenty West Ham fans who miss the place and cannot accept London Stadium. I felt that when leaving Highbury for Emirates Stadium. Although 2 parts of the stadium are preserved and converted into luxury properties
The church by the Bolyn, is St Edawards R.C. St Edawards R.C primary school is just behind it by the football grand. Then the new flats next to the church, was St Johns R.C secondary school, my old school- use to watch the ⚽️🥅🏟footballers practicefrom the class room 😂😂
Someone I vaguely knew who lived opposite the old police station bought a rifle, barricaded himself in his room and held the station under siege. No one was hurt and he had a mental breakdown due to a serious motorcycle accident. That would have been around 1970.
@ohyeah2816 Wow now that's a memorable story. We use to get told stories like these, all the time but now everyone's glued to their phones no one has time for telling or reading stories. I use to make a point to tell my son my stories but my grandkids want the iPad. Drives me mad 😡

I’m the last one of my family line and it’s going to be lost like the night the Manor Park Jewish cemetery was fire bombed by the Luftwaffe and my dad and others put the fire out. But yeah, all lost to time.

I used to live there on this street around 12 years ago. The street was always busy. Pakistanis and Bangladeshis used to look at me with hate because I was non Muslim ☹️ Never thought they would behave like that even in London.

@yet8117 I was really surprised how dirty East Ham was looking but that may be due to the roadworks. Stratford has definitely improved due to the Olympics as you rightly point out.
