Buck always produces beautiful wood and brass handled knives. Likewise they do outstanding blade hardening and wonderful finishing. I really want a 110, but for now there are other priorities. Have a wonderful holidays.
Back in the 70’s or early 80’s all knives were penknives (what we now call slip-joins) or lock-knives. Lock-knives we’re almost all copies of this knife in various sizes and mostly in a quality that varied from poor to outright dangerous. Their only saving grace was that they were rarely sharp enough to actually cut anything! I’ve probably still got one somewhere. The 110 frequently sits in my HH ‘basket’ but I never actually buy it. My main problem is that it’s so big it might really get me in to serious trouble, but this might make a better(safer) proposition.

Beautiful little knife. I inherited my dads buck 110 when he passed. He bought it in the 1990's and never used it because he had a buck 119 and mainly used knives for deer/elk hunting. Thanks for doing these videos and Merry Christmas to all!
Hey paddy have you noticed that the brass bolstered bucks are milled such that the liners and bolsters are one piece with no seam? Very rare to see a chunk of brass that large on value knives. No compromise. In this neck of the woods you can get a 110 for $35...
I LOVE that Lionsteel! I had a dream I bought one and then promised my husband I would return it. It's crazy how often I dream about knives now 😉 I was able to find a modern looking slip joint in my price range- the Ruike S11 with green g10 handles and I love it.
The ruike is one i want. The lionsteel is lovely but i keep asking do we really need m390 in a pocket knife. Still bought it though. Lol. Madness. 😱 Hope you get one in time. Atb paddy 👍😀☘️

Almost Xmas again, so an early Merry Xmas Sir ! Bought a 55 this spring and it's exactly as you say. What a slicey blade, and sits flat in the pocket. Handsome looking. A great gentleman's knife that could also be used in the field to dress small game etc.

I've got the B500. It's a nice knife. There are a few fit and finish issues, but I can live with that for now. Incredibly sharp out of the box and a really good hollow grind. A very Merry Christmas to you Sir.

There was a time when the 110 would have been a fine EDC. Back then I had two Buck knives, a Vanguard 192 with a wooden handle and an Alpha Hunter with black rubber scales. Both had belt sheaths, and I had no qualms about carrying either, just about, anywhere. Perhaps not to a night club, but most places. And in all those years, I never stabbed anyone, or even so much as threatened anyone. I did help a few people from time to time. If I wasn’t carrying one of them, it might have been my Leatherman Wave that I bought 18 or 19 years ago, or my wee Silver Tern that I bought over 30 years ago, or my El Diablo of a similar vintage. Alas, I can’t carry any of them now or I could be arrested and facing 4 years in jail, just for carrying them. What a sad state of affairs? As I heard recently, “you can’t pass a new law without restricting someone’s freedom.” The author of that suggested that, if a government was going to introduce a law, they should coincidentally repeal another one. It makes sense... if you going to impose a restriction here, you need to liberalise somewhere else. Why do I think this’ll never happen? On the bright side this has led me to renew my collection. I now have 34 UK street legal knives, almost all bought or acquired after the new laws came in. Following this video, another Buck will soon be joining me, I just can’t decide if it’ll be the 55, 112 or the full 110? I’d love it to be all three, but that would be greedy, especially as I can’t carry any of them! The 112 is the most likely though. Anyway, all of my street legal blades will soon be on my own UA-cam channel, just to share my joy at collecting them. Most are there already, just search Slick Slicers on her to see them and subscribe to see the rest as they appear.
great video paddy i did alright for christmas my self two new rough riders and a bit of money that im gonna spend on a boker barlow like yours soon my collection will look just like yours haha i got the lionsteel a gec amreican jack ive got a boker tech tool on the way and probly a buck 55 now not to mention the ganzos im buying to sell at a slight profit to put back into knives all of those knives i wanted after i saw yours so your either a blessing or a curse depending on your outlook!
