If you want to do that then there are plugins for fake stereo from a mono source, “wider” by infected mushroom is a popular free one. But no, this video is about a stereo microphone
If you do want to do that there are plenty of options. Be sure to use mono compatible techniques though, there are some techniques (such as introducing a slight delay to one channel) that give a cool stereo effect, especially on headphones, but produce unpleasant artefacts when mixed back down to mono (which means if you listen back on a mono source, such as a a phone or bluetooth speaker, or even a stereo source with a bit of distance between you and the speakers it will sound crap) There are plenty of “widener” plugins that are mono compatible though these days. Up to you if you think they sound good or are what you’re after! The other option is doubletracking and panning of course :)
