sorry about the music over the audio around minute 6, I had a little bit of an editing fail with the youtube music editor but it should be fixed in a few hours. I was just showing off some packages that had just been dropped off in the middle of me cleaning
Beautiful Christmas Garden. I am a lifelong knitter and am thrilled you are picking it up again. I also sew, quilt, crossstitch and enjoy it all. Enjoy!
Thank you Elizabeth for all the info in this floss tube - you are SO CREATIVE & you must be so busy. I’m so happy you mentioned your how to stitch video - I need to learn how to stitch in hand on something other than Aida - thanks again.
Your vlog was fun! Enjoyed all the talk, cleaning, swimwear, stitches, knitting, etc. Happy Birthday to your husband. 🎊 You are a pink girl, like me. 💝🦋🎀
The Christmas Garden is just beautiful! My oldest son just turned 40 and I started cross stitching before he was born. I stopped for a lonnnnng time until I realized it wasn’t a dying craft. I’m so happy I found you and other floss tubers. I did go and watch your stitching video! I can’t see linen that well but I do cross stitch in hand on Aida and it is faster . I am a lefty so I stitch from left to right. and I stitch in hand mostly on smalls. Thank you Liz for your cheerfulness and sharing all of your many talents ❤
Beautiful yarn choice for the sweater pattern. Love your framed piece! I have this kitted in my stash to start Dec of this year. Can't wait. Amazon has the yarn swift for about $25 now. I like that it is portable and stores so easily. I have to get a new winder as mine fell apart. 😢 Thank you for taking us along on your Saturday. Happy crafting!❤
Your Christmas Garden is beautiful. 😍 will be waiting to see your sweater. Move to the other room but leave your wall of shelves of fabric in this room. You deserve 2 sewing/craft rooms. 😊
Yeah. I haven't cross stitched in awhile, so I started back on doing that. Plus I sew and quilt alot alot....And I also knit and crochet. The cross stitch came back because I started watching floss tube videos and got hooked on watching them. Love your video on project bags for cross stitch. Going to make alot of them. Thanks Elizabeth.
That ball winder is really nifty. I am not a knitter, I used to have to hold my hands about shoulder width apart and my grama would part her yarn on my out stretched hands and hand wind, LOL. Memories... Christmas Garden is so beautiful in it's frame.
So great you are wanting to get back into knitting. I knit everyday. You will love the Rocket Tee and the yarn you picked is a beautiful color. Your cross stitching you framed looks fantastic
Love your video - so we tracked you all day Sat. Loved you fully finished item, so pretty. Love that you're knitting again. I use to knit also, tho mostly afgans, baby blankets or baby christening outfits. The family is still passing them around. I mostly cross stitch or make cards now depending on my mood. Hope you enjoy your sweatermaking.
Hola Elizabeth ,nunca es tarde para empezar proyectos en tu caso tejer y lo haces de maravilla dale rienda suelta a tu creatividad .Bendiciones Eli 👏👏👏👏🥰
Elizabeth, it is so fun to see you knitting! I’ve been a knitter for decades and then in January, 2021 X st came back into my life and evidently, it does not like to share my time and attention! I live in the Sacramento valley in Northern California ( 100 + in the Summer) and I’ve enjoyed knitting summer tees for many years and I use linen & cotton yarn (usually a blend) and then my tee is cool and comfortable to wear. 100% linen is really great in the heat- tho usually not as fun to knit with. Have fun knitting and stitching!
Please share the fanny belt bum sling pack whenever you make it! I also can't believe these have made a comeback. Fun video Liz! You're so entertaining. Happy crafting!
Fantastic cross stitch piece….frame is perfect!!Well done. My local yarn shop calls the yarn “skeins” and you wind them into “cakes”. I too got my knit bug back….the bug must be going around. Love the style of your swift…mine is much bulkier. Take care.
Hi Liz, omgosh your Christmas Garden is soooo absolutely beautiful, your framing is professional in every way, shape and form ❤❤, I really like the vlog style of your video, seems like we are with you for longer, happy happy stitching to you 🧵🪡
Christmas Garden looks beautiful. I have mine kitted, but not started. I got the Ruby Slippers like you suggested. Now I need to get Bees Knees.😁 Can’t wait to see the sweater progress. You are so talented!!
Christmas Garden is beautiful! And Eliza's French Birds is so pretty - I have yet to finish mine. I have stitched several smalls from the new Susan Ache book and have really enjoyed those - right now patriotic stitching is my jam. Hope you have a great week. Happy stitching and knitting and all the crafty things!
My design wall is in front of the book case I use the store my fabric. I have it clipped on a curtain rail and I can put it up and down as I wish AND it works a treat!!! Highly recommend, hubby just added some curtain hooks and away i went. Love it so much and so easy to do, I can actually take it down and fold it away at any time as well but no, Ive had it up for 3 years now. I have those big clamps so i fold the design wall up one end and slowly go across to the left and there go its out of the way so I see all my fabric that hubby says my word you need to start using all of this, I just turn and say, oh but I am and dont tell him about the purchase that came via mail whilst he was at work and I was working from home LOL
I would LOVE to sal with you on that beautiful Jeannette Douglas sampler - it is SO pretty! but my wip pile is out of control 😂 I may still, so tempted. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful crafting 💚 xx
Congratulations on the Christmas Garden finish - it's beautiful!! So great to have met you at Stitch North and look forward to it again next year! And thanks for the adorable needle minder! Speaking of Stitch North, all of the knitters! Makes me want to grab my knitting needles again too! Enjoy stitching up your sweater and I can't wait to see your progress! Oh, and good luck with the bathing suit hunt. It's the worst, isn't it??
I really enjoyed checking in with you this video. I also want to stitch that Madam Chantilly celebrate cross stitch chart. I'm a new stitcher so I really appreciate all the inspiration you give.
I’m absolutely going to join you with your birthday start because I too am a June birthday and mine is a special one too! I’m turning 50 on the 20th. I ordered the pattern today so hopefully it gets here in time! 🤞
You should definitely move rooms, create a design wall, it would be brilliant. I would love a dedicated sewing room, I have to share a 6ft square box room with the office stuff and computer and the spare bed! Under which I store all my seasonal finished cross stitch, so I shouldn’t complain!
Love all your finishes and starts. I also like to knit and have a sweater pattern for my husband and me. Like the tier tray patterns. Walk in Peace. Please note for my bathing suits I like them with skirts.
I have yarn for a rock it tee! I really want to start it too, but I have so many WIP's from so many hobbies. I really need to finish something before I start something new. I love what you did with your wedding tier tray. I just started an anniversary stitch last week on my 4th anniversary. I switched it to my wedding colors and am loving it so far. I love the vlog style videos, so fun and different.
Love the Christmas Garden stitch, it’s so pretty. My birthday is also on June 11, but I am way past forty (in years only). I will be 75 and I have never done a birthday start because I am for the most part a monogamous stitcher. But I am thinking about starting Cardinal Points as a birthday project! That means I better get busy on my current stitch.
Really enjoyed your video as always! Your framed Christmas Garden turned out Beautiful!! Can’t wait to see your knitted top, the color is fab. Definitely want to join in on your Birthday SAL, however you do not look 40 at all!!! You barely look 30 Lucky you😄 Hope you have a great week! Happy Stitching, knitting and sewing!!
I would like some footage of you knitting, please? I really like looking at the different ways people knit. your gauge swatch stockinette is just -lovely- so even and beautiful. i usually knit (and crochet) too loosely so i'm forever going down a bunch of needle sizes. (oh and a smoke tree is a thing. this yarn color is very evocative of that tree)
Sallie Tomato has a great fanny pack pattern. It's the Ferris. Can't wait to see your sweater/tee. I haven't knitted it forever. But I was not good enough to knit a sweater. I made wash cloths & scarves.
Christmas Garden is beautiful. Great frame! I actually lol at a lot of what you talk about and how you say it! Always love your videos. That pink sweater, summer sweater, is a gorgeous color when knit up. Have fun with it.
Absolutely stunning frame. It really sets it off the coloring. Great choice. I’m new to your UA-cam. I have so enjoyed it. It’s like sitting with a girlfriend around the table. Keep up the good work.😊
Happy birthday! I’m a June girl too, the 10th. I’m much older than you are but my 40th was the one that really bugged me too 🤪 even more than 50! Love the piece you chose to start for your B day. Happy Stitching!
I always enjoy seeing your WIPs and other craft projects. Have you thought about sewing a bathing suit for yourself? I would guess that a one piece would be fairly easy to sew. When I was pregnant (eons ago), I sewed a maternity bathing suit for myself. I was surprised by how easy it was to complete.
I tried to sew myself a bathing suit in college once... it did not go well, I suppose I could always try it again though... not sure its on my agenda right now though
I really love the vlog style, it suits you!! Christmas Garden is gorgeous!! The midnight piece looks fun to stitch! I’m doing a couple wordplay Crazy Annie pieces right now, fun to do amidst the big pieces. Can’t wait to see the sweater❤. The Shanny pack (shoulder -fanny) is what I call that bag. Plus my daughter carries one and her name is Shannon!
Fun video! I enjoyed all the variety. Christmas Garden is gorgeous and the frame is perfect. It’s going to be fun seeing the progress on your sweater. I’m not a knitter except for cotton dishcloths so I admire people that can knit sweaters and have them turn out right.
Omg, I hate buying swimsuits! I usually wind up with a tankini because then the length isn’t as much of an issue..I do like Lands End - pricy, but great suits and their long is just the right length. And your face when you said Rob’s friend sent him a knife 🤣🤣🤣 - have a great weekend!
FYI. Make your own bathing suit. In the old days, I used to take girls favorite bathing suit and replicate it - then made multiples. Lots of styles out there these days and all the support parts available. Once you make one that fits - you are all set!
What a fun and interesting video! Thank you for answering this non-knitters questions about the cool yarn gadgets you used. Love the swift and ball winder! Your Christmas sampler is framed so beautifully.
I hate bathing suit shopping! Good luck! Love your new starts and plans for a birthday SAL. I don’t knit but I love the color you selected for your sweater. It will be perfect come fall (does Texas have fall?) LOL
Christmas Garden is beautiful, I love your frame. I wish we could all clean as fast as you did in your sped up version. My crafting room needs a good cleaning, but I'd rather sew or stitch then clean. I cant wait to see your sweater, love the color
Your Christmas Garden turned out so beautiful, Liz, and the frame is so perfect. I love your wedding anniversary piece and I love how you changed the color of that cute little kitty cat. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on your new sweater, the color is gorgeous and will look so good on you. Thank you for another great video.
When in Co Springs, try to get over to Ruth’s Stitchery…. Tiny bit of Cross Stitch stuff but; but really great fabrics! If you go up to Denver, there’s some great Quilt and CS up there!
Ooh good to know thanks! We won’t be spending any time in Denver this trip and I did look up how far Colorado cross stitchers shop is but that’ll have to be another trip!
I love your vlog style video! Your knitting looks great. Can’t wait to watch the progress! Cleaning the craft room is the worst, right? Such a drag but you just have to do it sometimes. I got a good chuckle over your fanny pack talk. Some friends of mine were just talking about them last week. Everything old is new again 😂. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Your Christmas Garden looks fantastic all framed. You do such beautiful work.
Thank you for timing this video exactly to match my daily walk! I love all of your stitching and flosses and fabrics and finishes!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Love the wedding adaptation! Happy stitching! @shecavestitcher
OMG you are a ball of creativity! You quilt, sew, cross stitch, & knit! I’ve tried knitting, but knit very uneven & tight. Your Christmas Garden is beautiful. I have to get the Madame Chantilly chart as I have 2 white kitties! TFS.
Love your Christmas Garden. It’s gorgeous!! Have fun knitting. I crochet because my knitting is always off kilter. 🤷🏻♀️Can’t wait to see your progress.
Your Christmas Garden piece is so lovely. Great choice on the frame, and good for you, making Michael's fix their framing error! Have fun working on your sweater...in the summer...in Texas!! 😳😂😱
I love your Christmas Garden! I have a small start on mine. Seeing yours sure makes me want to pull mine out again. Can’t believe you are about to turn 40! My oldest turns 40 in December. 😢 Barbara
Since you are struggling with finding a swimming suit, I have a suggestion….make one yourself! I used to make my own and it was fun! You’re are a creative, talented sewer, I’m sure you could do it!
According to my 2 teenage daughters, you have to call it a belt bag. It is ABSOLUTELY not a Fanny pack or purse. Buying one for myself upped my cool factor 🤣 And, I do love it-hands free and it holds my keys, chapstick and phone. Can’t wait to see your knitting and your Christmas Garden finish is GORGEOUS!
Love that amazing finish Liz. Christmas Garden is breathtaking. And as a lifelong knitter, I love to see you return to knitting. Isn't great to have so many creative outlets??? Loved the vlog/video.
sorry about the music over the audio around minute 6, I had a little bit of an editing fail with the youtube music editor but it should be fixed in a few hours. I was just showing off some packages that had just been dropped off in the middle of me cleaning
My granddaughter would go crazy over that yarn 🧶 spinning thing!! Your picture is beautiful!!!
I used to buy long torso suits from Lands End for my tall daughter. I love the Christmas piece.
Good luck with your knitting project. I always wanted to make that sweater
Beautiful Christmas Garden. I am a lifelong knitter and am thrilled you are picking it up again. I also sew, quilt, crossstitch and enjoy it all. Enjoy!
Yes! I absolutely love knitting I just don’t get the opportunity to wear my items much here!
Your "Christmas Garden" is beautiful, and the framing you did makes it even lovelier ❤❤😊!
Thank you Elizabeth for all the info in this floss tube - you are SO CREATIVE & you must be so busy. I’m so happy you mentioned your how to stitch video - I need to learn how to stitch in hand on something other than Aida - thanks again.
Love your videos. Every quilter needs a design wall! Seriously consider it.
Your vlog was fun! Enjoyed all the talk, cleaning, swimwear, stitches, knitting, etc. Happy Birthday to your husband. 🎊
You are a pink girl, like me. 💝🦋🎀

Liking the format of this video, more relaxed and less formal! Perfect frame for Christmas Garden 🪡💕
Love your framed Christmas Garden!! Beautiful! 👏🏻🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦

Beautiful finish on Christmas Garden 🎉
We are like opposites! All you want to do is knit after years of not knitting, and all i want to do is cross stitch after years of not!❤😂
Omg…yes, that is me too! I’ve knit for eons and started back to X st in January 2021 and I’m OBSESSED with it! I still knit…but not nearly as much!
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Love ❤️ your Christmas garden it’s beautiful 🤩 happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩

Nicely done ✅ clean ended and framed before new start.
I love the Charlotte's __?__fabric you used on Love Boat Sampler. It's beautiful and your floss conversion is perfect. I really need pink fabric now!
I would LOVE to sal with you on that beautiful Jeannette Douglas sampler - it is SO pretty! but my wip pile is out of control 😂 I may still, so tempted. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful crafting 💚 xx
Oh mines out of control too but that’s never stopped me 😂😂
Love your framed piece! Thanks for sharing
Knitting is so much fun. Thanks for your video.

Thank you!
Isn’t that our dilemma? We have so many options but the newest thing always wins.” Lol. Pretty yarn. Can hardly wait to see the finished result.
Liz, you look amazing. Your working out is paying off.
Your Christmas garden has the perfect frame. Great job
I really enjoyed checking in with you this video. I also want to stitch that Madam Chantilly celebrate cross stitch chart. I'm a new stitcher so I really appreciate all the inspiration you give.

Love your creativity 😊. Christmas Garden is gorgeous ❤
Happy early birthday to you!!
Really enjoyed your video as always! Your framed Christmas Garden turned out Beautiful!! Can’t wait to see your knitted top, the color is fab. Definitely want to join in on your Birthday SAL, however you do not look 40 at all!!! You barely look 30 Lucky you😄

Your Madeline yarn is a gorgeous color. 🎉 on getting gauge. I’m still stitching on Christmas Garden. Yours is lovely and perfect frame.
There is a grannysquare fanny pack I have been thinking about making. My oldest daughter turns 40 in Sept. Love your Christmas Garden.
Your Christmas Garden is gorgeous!

Liz. You are a jack of all trades 😅 that is great.
You and my youngest are birthday buddies - I will start this with you for your 40th (and his 9th) - because birthdays are the best!!!!!

WOW YOUR CHRISTMAS GARDEN IS BEAUTIFUL 🩷💚 LOVE WATCHING YOU 😊🙏🧶🇺🇸
Happy birthday Rob.

Since you are struggling with finding a swimming suit, I have a suggestion….make one yourself! I used to make my own and it was fun! You’re are a creative, talented sewer, I’m sure you could do it!
I've never been that great with knits but maybe someday!
Lycra for swimming suits! You really should give it a try! I’ll come and help you…all the way from Minnesota!! 😄
According to my 2 teenage daughters, you have to call it a belt bag. It is ABSOLUTELY not a Fanny pack or purse. Buying one for myself upped my cool factor 🤣 And, I do love it-hands free and it holds my keys, chapstick and phone. Can’t wait to see your knitting and your Christmas Garden finish is GORGEOUS!
ok good to know, I dont want to embarrass myself in front of the teens!
Your Christmas Garden is beautiful. ❤
Love that amazing finish Liz. Christmas Garden is breathtaking. And as a lifelong knitter, I love to see you return to knitting. Isn't great to have so many creative outlets??? Loved the vlog/video.
