- Build A Stone Wall - Install Railing, protect the safety of the farm.
--------------------
To protect the safety of me, my family and all those who visit the farm, today I built a stone wall on the edge of the pond and installed a railing in front of my stone house. As you can see, from the shore to the bottom of the pond is quite a deep distance. Below the pond is made entirely of concrete. Therefore, if you carelessly fall into the pond, it is very dangerous. My children and family also often come to visit, I am very worried about everyone's safety. So I immediately started construction as soon as I thought of this dangerous problem.
Have fun watching the video!

He may be the most industrious person on the whole of UA-cam.
And his wife seems equally industrious. It's very inspiring.
I really look forward to your long videos, maybe for people who watch your videos for the first time, they will think it's easy what you're doing, because of the equipment you use. But for your loyal viewers who have been following your life on the slopes of this mountain from the beginning, they will definitely see it with "Wow".
From you sleeping under a cave to having a house made of stone that must have good durability, I imagine that in 200 years someone who walks on the slopes of your mountain and finds your buildings will feel like someone who finds a temple in the present. Keep up the good work.
I'm your audience from Indonesia
Oh thank you for your affection for me, I wish you and your family good health and luck in life.
So you believe everything you see on UA-cam, although there are elements of truth here, he's out to make MONEY, it's not all that you think!! he has electricity running to the place, which he mistakingly included in one of his videos and now makes sure the angle of that view is not repeated. He's found a concept that works, great!! but a lot is fabricated.
@@WestiewestHe has a water-powered generator, you do know that, right? He got it last year.
ua-cam.com/video/TL5u2iaF7AE/v-deo.html
He also built a rig for it (which he updated recently) and connected it to the farm.
ua-cam.com/video/LV5YJSLeBG0/v-deo.html
It's also shown up a handful of times after the initial installation as well. All of this is stuff he's documented in his videos. His electricity isn't a secret in the least bit...
@@Westiewest what arr you talking about are you a first timer watching his videos lile the other person commented he has this for over a year has upgraded the roof Hoáng build to protect the area he rebuild the plataform where the it is and he has been loyal to his channel the best he can but staying as close he can to the concept so what if he is making some MONEY like you put it in the process he is nit the first one and not the last one and also UA-cam doesn't pay as much everyone thinks and even if he does get paid what you think so what ain't that what creators do this to entertain and earn money ain't that what you get in every job stop trolling if you don't like it then don't watch it
@@Westiewest But you have to agree it is very impresive nonetheless, and of course he wants money for the work, it is pretty hard to do this even with modern tools
Build a kiln and fire some clay roofing tiles. Better roofing for the house in tropical climate. Love the stone wall for the pond. Another great video.
Thank you for your feedback, wish you and your family good health.
He has a kiln already and he's been saying thats what he is going to do when it's warmer.

The addition of the fence is a very good idea. To further ensure the safety of children and visitors. the addition of a bamboo lattice between the fence posts will prevent children from slipping between the posts.
I have to agree with the other suggestions. Fired clay roof tiles will make for a more permanent solution to your roof. You may need to replace some of your wooden roof planks with new ones. This will prevent rotting and collapse.
Thanks for your feedback, I'm looking into that too. Wishing you and your family good health.
From the soft skills that you have it so great that you can archive this transformation.
Who are watching this channel from the start only know how struggle you are to build up this place. Keep it up.

I've been watching your videos for a long time. Now, very rarely do i comment on any channel, but what you've built from what you've sourced from the earth is truly amazing. Your skill and determination are beyond compare all the best in tour future endevoures
Thank you for your compliments, wish you and your family good health
I've been watching your channel since you have only like 7 videos and I fell off watching your channel for like a year and I cannot believe how much you accomplished. It's so awesome now got a year of content to watch.

Duong, if you want a quick fix for your roof, mix some liquid mortar using fine sand and apply a thin layer to the roof. It will soak into the holes in the wood and harden making the wood waterproof and resistant to rot. This would only take one or two days. To prevent the mortar being washed away by the rain before drying, you could cover it with some palm leaves until the mortar has dried.
Ideally you could make tiles for the roof, but that would take more time. You could make clay tiles, or cement tiles, or you could try making stone tiles. I have seen some stone near the river that looked like it would be easy to split into thin sheets with a chisel.
Oh yes, thank you for your input, wish you and your family good health.
If I were close to this location I would visit it with greetings from neighboring Indonesia
I would be delighted to welcome you
To solve leaks, place unmixed lime on the outside of the roof. One of the properties of lime is to repair itself with water. very good content
If he mixes the lime with very fine sand to form a slurry it will soak into the wood more easily, and dry harder.
As a temporary solution to the leaking roof, if there are any resin producing trees in your area you could tap them and boil down some resin to spot-fix gaps in the roof. Could probably use the rubber trees for it too if there's no resin.
Another thought I've had since seeing your videos of ruined crops. Since there is ample water immediately adjacent to the field, it might be a good idea to do a controlled burn of the dry plots (one at a time) to remove the pests as well as the weeds that are stealing nutrients from the crops. Enrich the soil and remove the bad things.
As is always the case with fire though, take care and do it bit by bit to be safe.
It's been a joy to see this project evolve over time.
Thank you for your feedback, wish you and your family good health.
@@PrimitiveSkillsnet you could improve your farms soil by putting down a layer of wood chips on the beds and leaving it to compost for a year.
That'll give you a rich Loamy soil that vegetables will love growing in.
You could also use some bio char (ground charcoal) each year to help maintain moisture and nutrients in the soil.
For the roof, use tree resin mixed with charcoal powder to fill the cracks. Long term you should think about making ceramic roof tiles, since the wooden roof will collapse sooner or later
My back hurts just watching all this work.
I really like see the whole process of laying every stone on that wall , this will be super satysfactionery 😊
Yes, like a time lapse. I would also like to se a time lapse but i am afraid we will never see such a thing for obvious reasons
Du hast Dir dein eigenes Paradies gebaut! Einfach nur schön!😍🤗
Thank you so much
Gud job as always duong
Started from mud and made some iron tools and now has palace. Wow good.
Kind of interesting seeing how too move big stones. The ancient knobs seem to keep the rock straight, on sometype of rail transport system. And would of helped in connecting foundation blocks.
Using these rocks and mortar arent good for walls, because the mortar will lose its bond, with heavy rocks. ......23:20..... Should made alot of bricks at the pond lower wall.
It works so far,.
Thank you so much
I always admire your power and the beauty of your garden design. If I hadn't watched the video, I wouldn't have believed that you were able to complete the retaining wall work by yourself and in such a short period of time. The landscape of the entire farm is very spacious and harmonious. I was also worried that your children would fall into the pond, but I was relieved when the fence was completed. I'm looking forward to more soothing videos from now on. We send cheers from our Japanese fans.
Thank you for your compliments, wish you and your family good health. See you in the next video
Oooh pigs! They look adorable.
canada. your place has become very impressive. a palace almost
Thank you for your feedback, wish you and your family good health.
I would insulate the roof with Tar, against water 🙂 Greetings from Hungary 🇭🇺
Duong, as a long time subscriber who watched you build a hut and see it blown down in a storm to the very nice farm you have created, you are a hard worker, no doubt. And here’s the but, but no way I could move that much rock and mortar, by myself, in a week, even 20 years ago! I always suspected you had help but now it’s just obvious. I think it’s great if you are sharing your wealth with others in your village and paying them fairly, or have a large family helping, but it’s getting more and more deceptive to us who have been with you a long time!
So what? Anyone with half a brain was never under any illusion that he doesn't take all kinds of shortcuts off screen. I'm just here for the neat projects and the duckies.
Saludos.
He shows how it can be done himself with primitive tools then gets help to finish it. Did you think in the iron age everyone did everything by themselves? Look at any primitive society and they help one and other even modern primitive lifestyles do that like the Mormons in America for example. Would you rather 4 uploads of him doing the same thing in each or 1 video every 2 or 3 months ?
@@szeddezs you’re right. I am looking forward to “primitive skills” building a petting zoo and charge admission to the visitors!
@@RogueHCok, everyone is getting their panties in a knot. My point I was making is that I started watching him a long time ago and I have recently noticed a change in his video content about the same time his wife’s channel started doing stupid lost kid videos. Someone is giving them bad advice. I don’t want to see “primitive skills” build a petting zoo and shopping mall. My comment was constructive criticism, not a personal attack on anyone.
You're very good at having a clip of the same action be just long enough to keep attention then cut to something else efore it gets boring. fantastic job well done!

you asked for a suggestion of a quick roof fix but I think the ideal permanent fix would be to make a tiled roof out of clay
I think he is waitng for the dry season to do It, i think I remember he saying that when tmhe did the roof, but im not sure
@@Xukencio oh yeah, true, I had forgot about it
I'm also considering that idea, thank you very much
clay tiles
Beautifull. To protect the base of your railing and prevent water to fill in the cracks, you can also paint the base of the wood with resine and charcoal mixture.
im happy you think about safety, i often think about your safety when I see you building. please be very careful and mindful
Lindo video como siempre 😊
I wonder if you could automate chopping vines and banana trees with your water wheel?

Very nice
Boa Tarde

The amount of work and effort you have put into building your home and farm is impressive and amazing. Just seeing everything you have created in this video reminds us of the long journey and everything happens one step at a time. It all looks so wonderful, thanks for sharing with us!
Oh thank you for your affection for me, I wish you and your family good health and luck in life.
I don't blamebyou for being cautious with those pigs Duong, I have lived near farms and played at them most of my childhood, so I know what they are capable of. Parts of the US have a horrible time with feral pigs and what they do. I hope you can tame them so you can turn them loose, but I won't blame you if you can't. Your new fence is beautiful! As for your roof, can you lay strips of rubber under the sides of the boards on the top layer? Or maybe use some sort of caulking in the seams between the boards? Sending blessings from the USA ❤
Thank you for your compliments and your comments. Wishing you and your family good health
Maybe paint the rubber you get from to trees so paint on roof as a sealant
I hope you can make good ceramic tiles for your roof

I’ve been watching your videos for a long time Doung, and you’ve made amazing content! I don’t know if this will help at all, but for your leaking roof, what about a layer of leaves that you’ve used in the past? Just add a thick layer over the top, providing your roof with water resistance.
I'm also thinking about that solution, but I'm hesitant because it's only temporary.
Very beautiful wall,, ✨🌟⭐👍🥰👍⭐🌟✨

Very beautiful!
My friend, thank you for helping ease my anxiety and giving me strength to get my own work done. A suggestion for your roof: Would it be possible to use the rubber tree farm to make a full cover under your roof tiles? Like a tarp or blanket but made with painted on rubber? You could also use the rubber as a quick fix for now. 😊 Thanks again, you're a wonderful human being.

Hello Duong. There is probably a plant or tree in the area where you live from which resins can be obtained. You could seal the roof with this resin. Maybe you could do it using rubber trees.
I'm also thinking about that solution, but I'm hesitant because it's only temporary.
Maybe you should seal the bottom end of the poles of the wooden platform you made, so they are protected from rotting in the water.
I'm also thinking about that solution, but I'm hesitant because it's only temporary.
HOLA.
Buen video!
Tengo 2 posibles soluciones, no sé si sirvan:
- Primero para tú techo ¿Si lo sellas con caucho?
- Segundo para los cerdos encerrados ¿Si intentas meter 2 de los que tienes fuera? Y los vas rotado cada día. Quizá sirva como ejemplo y los domestiques. (O puede que no pase nada, o los contrario)
