I’m on a motorbike so I need to hard wire it would it be possible to cut and crimp a positive terminal on instead of a fuse box connection then I can direct hard wire to my battery?
Do I need the hardware kit in order for me to make this be turned on sorry? Or I can just plug to cigarette lighter and it should work perfectly plug and play?
Cleaner/stealthy install without a wire dangling from your windshield and you keep your 12v power outlet available for other things instead of having the detector plugged in all the time.

How did you connect the fuse tap with the uniden cord, I have everything but wondering if I just have to splice it or not

It will work by just plugging it into the cigarette lighter. This kit is just to avoid having wires hanging down from your dashboard.
