How can you not love in this scene that Toby knows the exact number of words of the Gettysburg address and the ten commandments off the top of his head and Donna is not even surprised!
@@jackolantern22In the very first episode, Toby is not even sure of the order of the commandments, so maybe he studied up on them. Anyway, the answer would vary depending on which version & translation of the Bible you were using.
It's particularly interesting because the lengths of those two documents are debatable. There are five drafts of the Gettysburg Address ranging from 239 to 273 words. There are also two versions of the Ten Commandments in Exodus and Deuteronomy with different lengths.
I can't believe the obvious sexual tension while being completely oblivious to it between Donna and Josh actually came to fruition by the end of the series. That's some hardcore arcing right there. Or cheap fanservice, depends who you ask. I liked it.
@@Bariom_dome You had a 6 year will they/won't they relationship that no one noticed, including you and the other party, that ended up with you two getting together? That's extraordinary!
Please post video from the first season episode, The Short List, where Justice Crouch told Bartlet that Republicans have guts. They sure don't anymore. Far from it.
@@saquist Yes I am aware, I was just informing you which one specifically they appear to be referring to- the very first one occurring at Exodus 20:2-14
I wonder if Trump has seen a single episode of The West Wing. He still hasn't accepted the fact that it is a serious job and not a cool way to jet to Fla for a round of golf to the tune of 2.6m dollars of our money.
She’s American hon, it is beat. The colonies are allowed to make their own language rules like Mr Webster did. Especially those colonies that kicked English asses to the kerb.
Fiiiine I'll watch the series for the 5th time.
15th time

He's a speech writer. He knows speeches.
That’s a sorkinism. Nobody knows the number of words in the Ten Commandments (which also isn’t a speech).

@@flyboy152 It's Toby so presumably he is either referring to the original Hebrew text, or the english translation in his copy of the Torah

"Which one's Ed, which one's Larry?" "Doesn't matter."
That bit lives rent free in my head for some reason.

Exactly. And after the 1st year together, that's where the wheels come off.
Sounds like real life to me. Speaking from experience

Don't talk crazy now. Next you'll tell me clock's used to have hands on them!
I love that this channel exists!
Oh, these two! (And don'tcha just love that it could be any pair in this video??)
Of all the characters on this show, the one I wanted to be like was Toby.
I miss these guys-especially Toby❤
We didn’t get to hear the Lisa Sherborn-Seaborn quip. 😢
So this was before Natalie went to work for Monk.
I think she still made pizza or something.
Pleae upload the scene where Leo is informed that Zoey bartlet is kidnapped.
God, I can't stand Amy. How shocking that she's seeing someone, and is now dating Josh, too. Just a class act all around.

Yes, though in all fairness neither party has guts. I think they're surgically removed when you join your local RNC/DNC.
Which Ten Commandments has 173 words because there are 3 complete sets of the Ten Commandments in the bible...all 3 different.
which bible?
Who cares? It is all made up anyway and even those who don’t think so won’t follow them.
Just counted- the original Hebrew text of the Exodus ten commandments (Exodus 20:2-14) has 173 words.
@@ethanarch There are also 10 Commandments at Deuteronomy 5:6-21 and a different one at Exosus 34: 11-26. All slightly different.

@s1lm4r1l6 he's a totally unlikable character. And stabbed Bartlett in the back. That's not how you win ball games.
I really tried to like this show but Aaron Sorkin's insufferable preaching got in the way
I'd say Madam Secretary and Designated Survivor are the more preaching ones. And not as interesting about government.
