I just beat the game on GMGOW, doing all the Musphelheim challenges before beating the game, then finishing up the last few berserker fights. Early -mid game I used the bracers that increased stun damage paired with Lunda's armor (poison damage on punch attacks/parries) and the belt that increased poison damage. End game I used the armor that gave more damage based on Rage, as you can go from like 3 hits max to 5ish if you have leftover Rage when you lose all health, paired with the Musphelheim gauntlets/belt that increased your elemental buildup, and the amulets that increase your max rage based on vitality. (Also a really good amulet thing to use is the one that improves your dodge/roll speed and distance. You can very quickly scoot away from the Berserker AOE attacks)

The Valkyries imo were so much more cool and hard AF to take down. I loved finding and challenging all of them in gow2018

I used the poison armor set to beat the berserkers. I used the dragon waist guard to increase shield strike damage. And I used the status increase effect as well. I just kept mixing it up. The main thing is knowing to avoid the attacks. Which the amulet to extend your roll distance is most useful.

This and Gna are the toughest bosses in the game. There's not much left to do in the game by the time you get this hilt. Fingers crossed for NG+.
Got it last night. Honestly some of those Berzerker fights felt more like I won on,luck then skill. I’m on the second hardest difficulty so GMGOW is probably a nightmare. Since some of them are gank/ bosses with minions. The final one was honestly my favorite because it’s one on one against a very powerful enemy. And the relic is pretty powerful by itself.
I've been playing GMGOW I'm like 20+ hours in. Its bad but it's manageable. The bosses are fucking ridiculous.

Honestly GMGOW and No Mercy really doesn't feel much different to me. GMGOW doesn't feel as brutal to me as 2018

My top 3 favourite relics/hilts in no order:
1: Hilt of Hofud (Slows time)
2: Hilt of Skofnung (The one in this video)
3: Huldra Project #9 (Mimir turned into a death machine)

For the Bifrost berserker, using valor (the health restoring rage) also cures bifrost damage in case you’re taking a lot of damage and the healthstones aren’t enough to keep you afloat
That berserker made me want to kill myself.
Wrath and fury also do this
Or just equip an enchantment that allows soulsteal
There is a rond that allows you transfer the effects that you have onto the enemy, so just give he bifrost back to the berserker

Instead of the berserker chest piece, use giptumadrs breastplate. It has chance to reduce both runic and relic cooldowns by 70%

The trick with the berserker jumping is to wait for his dialog during the jump to finish. As soon as he stops talking during the jump, dodge roll.
Yeah pretty much everything is last second dodge or parry in this game. So patience is more than key.

for the jump attack theres a timing to it
when the circle stops following you it means they're about to strike
if its still moving with you then you gotta dodge when it stops
For me it was how many steps I walked before I need to dodge roll. Count that and roll.

It doesnt matter if you play on story or hard difficulty side fights like GNÁ or berserkers just for the platinum trophy will always be hard no matter what. You can really feel the diference in difficulty in the story not outside.

I had the berserker set on for a while till i finished the game 100%, i then started upgrading all my gear, best stats on any gear surprisingly was the survival set you start with, hoped to have known that before i finished everything 100% so im letting y’all know so my discovery will be of some use
Makes sense that the starting armor has the highest total base stats. It has no effect after all
Ya it has the highest stats if you fully upgrade
But it has no extra effects and so it’s not that great overall or for most anyway, cause it’s just raw stats. Definitely still the top tier though from what I’ve seen or ya compared to all other sets highest in the raw stat department.
More importantly, it's also the best looking armor in the game IMO. Close second for the undying pyres set.
The dual fights are a pain I get kill quickly I haven't finished the game yet just doing that extra land where you fight the dragons so fun that land almost finished with that land. I'll try my luck again my defense it's close to 500 and strength it's over 300 hopefully I do those dual berserk does the realm shift works

You can fight the berserkers along the way once you get the sword hilt. You don't have to wait until after you beat the game. I've already beat a couple.

I know you guys say you play these games on normal, so that extra damage would probably be almost a 1 shot for people on No Mercy and Give Me God of War difficulty. So I think setups will vary

I'm taking a break before doing Ragnarok, I'm amazed at how much stuff I ignored.
These boss fights are really challenging. I'm playing give me no mercy and I've only been able to take down 4 so far.

Are they going to add that at some point? Its kind of dumb you to get such a powerful relic from what, for many, is the last or second to last boss of the game. Can't use it in the game at all to help.
@@MatthewFura Im pretty sure they do because they also added one in the 2018 God of war game. And yeah I know what u mean, I also really want to try that relic with that set but sadly it’s normal for story games to not have a new game + mode at release.
@@MatthewFura what they did for NG+ in GoW2018 is that they scaled up the enemies, so you actually had somewhat of a challenge till you leveled everything back up. I can see them still doing a NG+ especially because they launched new armor sets and other items last time. You can imagine it will be the same this time.

I think the Raven armor with the surtr waist is the best combo for me. Having that healing, even the small amount and the increase from the crystals is a must have. I've already 100% the game and used the Raven armor the entire time.
Is the Raven armor a Chest and Wrist armor kit?
@@Arktrue it's a full set like all the other armor in the game. The waist and wrists grant increased healing from crystals, where the chest has a %chance based on your Luck stat to give you a 3 sec burst of healing called healing mist. If you combo with the surtr waist from the muspel challenges than you get 15% increased health from crystals, healing mist, and a 15% reduced stun/interrupt from attacks while your attacking. Making it much easier for harder fights to keep an attack chain going, which allows you to proc healing mist more, giving you more healing.

The battle with the 3 was the worst for me, I died so many times it was insane. Then time rest were not that hard. And the King I beat with the Lunda build. That was hard too for me.
Agreed, the fight with 3 of the them was the worst for me as well. I lost count of how many times I took a break before restarting the fight again. It wasn't pretty, but I managed to kill them at last.
I head read somewhere you should kill Svipdagr before tackling the sisters, but if you do that, they go ballistic and wear you down with endless ranged attacks from two sides at once. Once I took them out, Svipdagr was a cakewalk in comparison. As in, it only took me two or three tries, as opposed to the 50 or so of some of the others.
This is so funny I literally wore the starting armor fully leveled up for the final mission and they give you a whole new armor that’s just the starting but red, and it’s worse somehow
This will be great for New game plus

Also Skjothendi, one of the last ones you have to beat isn't just in a "late" section of the game.. You literally have to beat the game to get access to that berserker fight.

my trick to defeat king of berserkers is Steinbjorn armor
got 600 points defense which is broken but attack points is reduced because armor gives mostly only defense and heal on huge damage received
@@ASSASSIN19923 I’m using the same armour.. there is a work around for damage as well - Niflheim enchantments. They provide damage based on defence (which is already broken) if you have more than 75% health. With healing you will most of the time meet that criteria. It’s a perfect match!

I appreciate the info, but his is a no go for me. Tried to fight a Beserker on easy and got crushed. Same with Gna, didn't even take half her life. It was absolutely demoralizing. If I got close I would have kept trying, but no. Would have had better luck pushing a boulder up hill. At least the boulder might have rolled back, crushed me, and got it over with

What difficulty are you on? I beat it on no mercy but those berserker fights I tried a few times and moved on I always felt way underpowered against them. The bosses were easy for me compared to them.

@@drummeryan It‘s awesome indeed, I run the Nidavelir Chest Armor, spiritual wraps wrist armor and the kvasir belt. Then i have lots of stun grabbing attachments for rage, cooldown and healthregeneration

The rond of purification is the best. No matter how much bifrosted u are its completely transferred to the enemy. Real game changer

When it says mele damage is that bare handed or with weapons there is a few things that say this and I cant work it out
