My father tried to reprimand me for speaking disrespectfully of my MIL. I looked at him and said “I don’t respect her. Do you want me to lie? I think that’s enough of a visit for today. GoodBYE Dad.” And I left his house.

That last time MIL said, “I’m sorry” it reminded me of a conversation I overheard at lunch yesterday. This girl was arguing with somebody on speakerphone and whoever was on the other end said “I’m sorry!!!How many times do I have to say it?” The girl responded, “Be sorry quietly, b-ch. Don’t call me anymore!” 😂

After a moment of confused silence on my part, I looked at him and said "There's a whole lot of shut up in your future."

I will never understand why you wouldn't immediately tell your spouse the real reason you're not spending time with them? At some point you're asking for abuse. Sophia's jealousy is sounding a big bell. The fact that she felt that her actions were justifiable even after finding out that her DIL was pregnant says a lot. What was Sophia's biggest motivation? Accusing Mia of trying to seduce her FIL. Her own daughter is not on her side.

Ted got remarried to a rich single newly divorced woman close to his age but loved him despite their economic differences. They fell in love and happily got married. Meanwhile outside the church, the wicked ex-wife, toothless and homeless with newspapers for clothes angrily trashed the wedding banners outside doors, and finding out where the venue was through a dropped card invitation, marched undetected into the reception hall and tried put chemicals into the wedding cake using a toothpick laced with a strong poison, her features angrily contorted like the she-devil she was, even cackling like a mad woman. But the staff saw her through video camera and she arrested by the police. She was arrested wailing and screaming, even laughing from the 3 champagne bottles she downed as she was dragged away in cuffs. She wailed her ex-husband's name, "TEEDD! TEDDY BEARRR! TEDDYDY---hic-MY TEDDYAAYY!--" Before Ted's new wife sucker punched the selfish wicked sophia---. The entire family and her ex-friends each signed a restraining order against Sophia for life, with her own SON declaring her a 'B****'and she would never see any of them again. Sophia passed away from the cold but her soul was despicable that even Hell didn't want her. In the second story, I think it will come to light at a later date that Maria’s husband might have been having a mental health crisis when he left his job in a way that was previously out of character. The fact that he then tried to make money scamming others, however, is simply because he wanted to make money the easy way; with a wife who was as much into “status” as he apparently was, I am not surprised.

Neither of them expected the mother to act that way so the only person to blame is the mother and no one else. 🙄

Why would I go some where I'm not wanted, respected, appreciated, treated like family or even tolerated?.. that's just crazy.. the lady hasn't liked you in the 3yrs since you married her son, she's never kept that a secret... she's NEVER going to like you. I think it's odd DIL didn't just straight up tell tom I don't want to be around your bytch of a mother.. I would've told Ted, your miserable bytch of a wife doesn't want me to come.. why is she keeping MIL bullying a secret?. Honestly at some point these DIL's have to take accountability.. they are ALLOWING the disrespect and bullying, all while paying these MIL's to be treated like dog crap on the bottom of their shoes... why didn't she punch MIL back?.. what she did was an assault. DIL have a right to defend herself. I would've knocked her dentures down her throat..

When a person is toxic towards you, and try to pretend differently around others, then always record your conversions with them and show it to the other family members so they can see what kind of a character this person is. If the person hates you then show no sympathy towards them and don't worry about embassening them. Don't even lie to your spouse about how their family members treat them. Being nice to toxic people and keeping their actions a secret just enables those toxic people. Husband is a dumb*ss insisting on wife coming with him when she's pregnant and knowing his other doesn't like her, a MIL that toxic might try to hurt the wife if she finds out about her being pregnant.

There was a question on you ask, what’s the difference with children in prison because they were not from here they didn’t know. So here since is the answer as best as I can describe it. in the US jail is usually in a local county within the state. Most jails were only hold someone for a pre-trial or a very short sentence under a year. If you go to prison, the conditions are normally a little more harsh in the sentence will most definitely be over a year. In some county jails will only haul people if the sentence is 90 days or less. In the US every state has several counties or provinces, and they govern themselves within the states rules.

I guess a woman or even man in a situation like this would put up with it because they don't want to come between their partner and their mother, thry wouldn't want to be the reason why their partner doesn't talk to their mother or family anymore and be the reason that relationship is ruined. I would do the same and just put up with it, however I love my partners parents, I love them more than my own parents lol so I'm very lucky in case 😊 but I do understand why someone would just deal with it and put up with it, especially if they dont see each other very often and they dont have to put up with them very often. After all been called a few names isn't too much of a big deal and having someone send nasty text to you again you can just ignore them, yes they would be annoying and may make you feel a bit stressed or even upset etc but they are just texts and words. Unless it's physical abuse its easy enough to just ignore that person and stay out of their way therefore its not something worth destroying someone's life over and destroying a relationship between a mother and their child, especially as they wouldn't want put their partner in a situation where they may feel like they must choose between the person they love and their parents. At least I wouldn't want to do that, but saying that I've been through far, far worse than just having someone call me names so in comparison been called names and having some nasty text sent to me isn't really that much of a big deal. Maybe I'm just weird for thinking that way, but if I was in that situation, I would never make my partner choose between me and his parents because that's just unfair to them, I'd just put up with getting the nasty messages and stay out of their way. But as I said that's just me and the way I see things 😊

13:49 - If you’re breaking down that horribly and your spouse STILL tries to convince you to go with him, it’s time to divorce. At that point it’s clear Tom gives less than a f*ck about his wife or his kid if a game is more important than his family’s physical and mental well-being.

Why isn't OP saving MIL's hateful messages and fwding them to FIL when FIL "insists" DIL come to see him. Usually long married couples act like a matching pair.
I suspect FIL knows and approves of MIL's actions and hostility! Fwding messages to him will remove any ambiguity.

She's isn't showing everyone the messages because she doesn't want to be the reason for the family falling apart and doesn't want to make her partner choose between her and his family. After all she would be possibly destroying a family over some text messages, text messages that can be ignored, yes they may be nasty and upsetting but at the end of the day they can be ignored she could elven block the number so she doesn't get them at all. And she could also just stay away from the mother and avoid her

I love the way that the people that get their butts kicked a lot and are always crying for help are the same ones saying that violence is never the answer. Yeah, Sweden thought that way until they got tired of being conquered over and over by different countries. They learned to defend themselves. Now they have peace and freedom. The Amish still ask for help. They refuse to defend themselves. You're always going to be a victim if you don't learn how to defend yourself. Whether its hand to hand like in martial arts training or more protection like a conceal n' carry. You can call 9-1-1 but by the time the cops get to the house they'll be looking at your body. You have to learn to defend yourself.
