  • Our road trip today takes us to our 28th State, South Dakota. While were here we had to stop at the iconic Corn Palace. In 1892, the Corn Palace was constructed in Mitchell, South Dakota to promote the town and the surrounding region. The founders believed that by constructing an impressive building adorned with corn and grains, they could attract more settlers and businesses to the area, boosting economic growth. For over a century, the Corn Palace has continuously captivated visitors with its unique blend of history, artistry, and culture. Come join our family as we explore a real life Corn Palace. Let’s Go!

On road trip with my parents, we would only take photos from the outside. So my goal is to do the same but actually go in, even if it is cheesy and there is a fee.

It is cool that yall got to go inside. I love that they freshen it up annually so you can go check out the new murals on the building. I wish we could go next year so we can see Bob Barker in corn.
