I have been using the Refold Low-Key anki settings for a while on my decks, and when I started doing so I had used the RefoldEaze add-on to manually change the eases (I think it was to 131%). So all of my card eases are either at 130% or 131% currently. I am interesting in switching to FSRS, are there any risks or considerations that I should have in mind since I had used the addon? Or can I go straight ahead and use the instructions from the Basic Anki Setup page on Refold regarding switching over to FSRS? Thanks for your help! (Sorry if this is posted twice, I think the last was flagged as spam due to including a link)
Hi, I have some german cards which have german sentences, there are some words in these sentences i want to get translation in english, i added google translate and deep L add-on but when i right click selected text, i dont get any option to translate, also this dictionary add-on dont give accurate translation, is there a way i can get translation of selected text in anki
Do I need to change anything in the deck settings such as, for example, "starting ease", "learning steps" or "leech treshold"? Or shall I leave the default settings as they are, made exception for "FSRS"?
Question. I'm on a 2019 mac with Intel, but am likely to get a new M chip machine this fall - will it all still sync up if I create a bunch of decks for my students now? I'm guessing yes, but...just making sure so I don't waste a ton of time on set up. thanks!
Yep, the sync feature works across all devices. I have my cards on Android, iOS, my computer and everything just fine. The M chip version is only how the program itself behaves.
Hello! When trying to export the deck the following problem appears: "500: invalid Zip archive: Could not find central directory end" How can I solve it?
Do you mean import the deck? That shouldn't happen with exporting, but sometimes happens with importing. If it's a Refold deck, contact support@refold.la and tell them the email you made the purchase with, and what deck you're having trouble with. They'll help you asap.
I've never heard of that issue before! What device are you installing on? Is your clock manually set or set to a specific time zone? Do you live in a country with "interesting" time zones? What version of Anki do you have installed?
On min 2:33, I clicked import but only 2 flashcards were downloaded, and all the rest were skipped. Could not fix it and tried to import again but same thing happened. any tips to fix it?? Also could you please show us how to download flashcards from jackwestin on anki to use on laptop and mobile app (e.g. milesdown and amino acids) I could not find a tutorial on it. would appreciated it!!
Did it say why they were skipped? There's usually a message about why, such as "they're already in your collection." You could try importing them to a new profile. You can also click the advanced options when importing to have more options. I've never heard of Jack Westin before and when I googled it, it looks like it's for other study stuff. I don't have any experience using Anki except for language learning. But looking really quickly at their site, it looks like the decks are only paid and can only be used on their system. Sorry I can't be more help!
From what I've heard, they work "properly" now, but it also works great to just use the Good/Again buttons. So I still recommend people use Good/Again since it saves you from having to do the mental math figuring out if something was just "hard" or "again." But it's totally up to you.
It changes things *slightly*, but after a day or two it really reduces your reviews. I haven't seen anyone regret turning it on, but it might be worth making a backup, just in case. For me, it reduced my reviews a good amount.
Finally, a good basic tutorial that's easy to share
I wish I was told about vacation situations before so it’s not overwhelming to get back 😂thanks ❤!
You should hit the optimize button on FSRS in each deck every month
Thanks Ben, it was me who asked you to make this.
Thank you so much! I could follow the instructions easily!
Great video, this will really help me in learning Chinese Language, thanks

Yep, leave everything as it is except for turning on FSRS and adjusting your new cards/day.
@@Refold Thanks!
Very cool!!
Is that outro theme a full song? And if yes, is it available anywhere?
Thanks.

Why I can see the fotos in the app? Just on the computer and I waited 😢
"''Fail' sounds a bit harsh ..."
Good thing he put that warning in there. Will save maybe a few snowflakes from melting.

Thoughts on using the easy and hard buttons now that fsrs exists?

I heard turning on fsrs after you've already been using a deck for a while can fuck it up/massively increase your number of reviews. Is that true?

@@Refold OK, thanks.
