Because most ranges in the U.K. are indoor 25 to 50 yards and are not certified for 5.56 power levels.. £25.00 a hundred as opposed to £65.00 a hundred is a fairly convincing argument as well

The "Open" class in Gallery Rifle was really popular before the 9mm Lever Release rifles were banned. Regarding 9mm not being great for target shooting, an awful lot of people, shooting tens of millions of rounds of 9mm in competition, would probably argue with that statement! The accuracy of these with factory ammo was far superior to a standard pistol calibre lever action rifle. Hopefully these straight pull versions reinvigorate that division.
Enjoyable review, I picked mine up a few weeks ago and have already put a thousand rounds of 9mm through it… It really is great fun and strangely takes me back to my pistol shooting days.. An accurate little bugger with S&B 124 grn as well, I bought it as a replacement for my now minced Southern Gun lever release and I think I actually prefer the Schmiesser
This pisses me off, I'm every bit as responsible and interested in shooting as you are but there's no way on god's green earth that I'd get the licenses needed and it just isn't fair. All i want to do is shoot, steel, spinners, paper groups whatever, just let me shoot😢
I have seen the doctor for mental health stuff and that's enough for me to be permanently blacklisted, I might have had a chance for a shotgun certificate but I find shooting clays boring, I just want to shoot from a comfortable position with an accurate rifle at anything from 25 metres to a kilometer at steel targets,, Sorry for being grumpy

Who is the “target” audience for a rifle that this? Not for hunting, 9mm not great for target. Seems like an odd choice - though fun to shoot.

@@todderstaffes the heavy blow back bolt on the lever release caused alot recoil for a 9mm and has less then the schmisser
