- Lt. Governor Dr. Kran Bedi made surprise checks at the Villianur and Dhanwantari Nagar Police Stations of Puducherry this morning. The objective was to evaluate the rank and file understand the correct methodology of the police beat system for crime prevention.

most govt offices lack sufficient funds to maintain their premises. Some even pool money from the staff for basic things like repairing fans and lights,,,Once when my brother was caught for driving without helmet...he was asked to buy few bundles of A4 papers and was let off without fine....
Most people commenting here from their comfortable tables dont have any idea about the ground reality.... I think giving a fixed sum to SHO every month would solve these issues to an extent...
