A Chinese scientist convicted of selling state secrets to foreign spy agencies was executed in 2016. Details of his case and nine others were revealed in a new documentary produced by China’s Ministry of State Security that aired on April 14, 2024. The documentary, Led by Innovation, National Security Sharpens the Sword, aired on state broadcaster CCTV and aimed to raise awareness about national security threats, as part of Beijing’s National Security Education Day campaign. The details revealed in the documentary were rare for a country often quiet about its own judicial process.

Where can i watch it? Does anyone have a link?
This guy is always anti-china. He criticizes China as "opaque"...but complains it's propaganda when they are transparent. You can't win with him.
It's funny that he keeps using the word when he can't even pronounce it properly.
If it is from SCMP, you do not have much trust in their reporting esp their news leaning towards UK as they felt it hard to leave its colonial legacy
Yup. 'Propanganda' is a very rich loaded word. Let's call it for what it is a documentary highlighting spying cases in China. These are harmful acts to China's security. The same harmful acts that will be prosecuted in the US, UK and other countries with National securities laws.
That's a pretty low bar you're setting for "transparency". A video made by state-run media is more transparent than Beijing normally is, but that's not saying very much.
In the West, governments are typically required to hold court trials in public, even for cases of espionage. You can look at the recent trial of Xu Yanjun in the US -- all of the evidence used to convict him in court was made available to the public. That's transparency.
China has the right to feature this documentary to make its citizens informed. This Chinese journalist should know the American propaganda of destabilizing Beijing and replacing it with a new government under the Western control unless this journalist is part of the American's schemes, which include the g3n0c1de of the Chinese people.
I sympathize with the people of South Tibet, who endure impoverished conditions compared to their counterparts in North Tibet. It's disheartening to see them living in poverty under India's administration.
I completely agree!

Tibet is divided between north and south, and the southern part is poor? Well, guess i learnd something today.
When used in relation to the Sino-Indian border dispute, South Tibet is a term mainly used by the People's Republic of China (PRC) to refer to an area south of the McMahon Line currently administered by India as parts of the states of Arunachal Pradesh. This region was recognised by Tibet as belonging to British India under the McMahon Line Agreement (part of the 1914 Simla Convention). The PRC does not recognise the McMahon Line and claims that the area is a part of the Tibet Autonomous Region instead.[1] According to Hsiao-ting Lin, a scholar from Taiwan, and other scholars, both the British and the Chinese claim to sovereignty over the area can be deemed "largely imaginary", reflected only in official maps and political propagandas
Chinese police uses Volvos? That's a whole different level of safety on display.

In US, treason and espionage will only land you several years in prison as long as you make it to the headlines.
Tell that to Assange
@@jonseilim4321 What happens to him now? Last time I knew, he's still alive and kicking comfortably in a London prison. Even took a decade to be caught. He's not really a traitor, since he has never been a US citizen in the first place.
Why didn't they escape to India?
Because they're even more scared of Indian unhygienic food that would cause food poisoning!

The irony is many lives outside chna are getting cheaper than in china, no?
You forgot one extra word, life expenses is cheap in China unlike soaring inflation elsewhere. Life is much more fragile due to the senseless killing elsewhere in the Middle East and Ukraine
What military secret? You mean the ones that they stole from the west? They fear that the west is going to steal it back?
Do you mean the RESOURCE-POOR west that you think provides you a capitalist life on fairy dust? It's no big secret the US-China trade war has always been a currency war since the 1990s. It’s also no big secret that the west's military was based in Hong Kong with the HK dollar tied to the US dollar since 1967. If you had any form of financial education you would know, that the US dollar is the world's reserve currency powering the World Bank funding NATO military weapons' investments. The resources for military weapons is from the African continent. African nations were sacrificed for the fishing village resource-poor Hong Kong to rise as an international hub, as a free-market capitalist model with an exceptional smuggling port providing the world with blood diamonds and conflict minerals, powering the dull currency HK dollar tied to the US dollar - making the US military work! CHINA WAS INVESTIGATING THE WEST'S MILITARY USED TO EXPLOIT AFRICAN COUNTRIES USING HONG KONG'S SMUGGLING PORT! Therefore the BRICS rising since 2014 have been rejecting the US hegemony that is currently sending all western countries into a global financial crisis!
