Portnoy and the boys are killing it. James had a rough first few shows but the latest ones are fantastic. I hope they record one of these shows so we can listen to them forever
Agree. I just saw them in Munich, this song being one of the highlights, and I was surprised how well James sounded through the whole show...no idea what happened, but I'm glad he's singing well again. Definitely a big improvement to the last time I saw them.
In Milan, James started terribly with 'Metropolis Pt. 1', but then he quickly recovered and sang the following songs well. In 'Pull Me Under', where I feared he would have difficulty as he has in the past, he actually nailed it with an amazing performance. On another note, Mike gave fans some good news on Facebook, confirming that there will be a special Blu-ray release to celebrate this tour.
This song got me through the Pandemic and mental torment and anguish. Was in the Military and fought against taking the Jab Juice, I fought back against my Platoon, Company, Battalion and Brigade! Many active duty were let go. Many officers of faith were fortunate enough to resign their commission, others not so lucky. Those were dark times. DT helped me process my emotions and pain. Love them forever!
glad to see Portnoy back, i always impressed the new Monster kit that he bring back to DT looks like the right side using 1 snare 1 bass 3 rack toms and 2 floor toms also 1 gong bass, at albino monster mike used the right side was only occupied by 1 snare 1 bass 2 rack toms 2 floor toms, it's looks like more cramped than the previous Mike Monster kit
@@MarianoGianni1 The bass was heard only in some specific moments of the songs, unfortunately it was not constant. Sometimes it was possible to hear it clearly, other times it was not because of the very fluctuating mix and the bad acoustics of the Palazzo dello Sport. I was able to hear it more or less well using professional earplugs
You'd be surprised how much you need to remember for a 3 hour show. Not just note changes, but time signatures, instrument changes, tone changes, everything really.
