When your sins pile up, it can be easy to feel despair. But Allah is always waiting to welcome you back to Himself. No matter what you've done, no matter how long it has been, don't let anyone tell you that you cannot find healing in repentance. Remember the verse in Surah az-Zumar: "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins."

I am in alot of debt because of my past actions. Struggling to provide a good stable life for my mum, wife and my son. I have a 2nd child on the way too. Please make dua allah swt eases my financial hardship brothers and sisters.
It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the mosque and saw an Ansaari man whose name was Abu Umaamah. He said: “O Abu Umaamah, why do I see you sitting in the mosque when it is not the time for prayer? He said: Worries and debts, O Messenger of Allah. He said: “Shall I not teach you some words which, if you say them, Allah will take away your worries and pay off your debts?” He said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said:
“Say, morning and evening, ‘“Allahumma inni a’oodhu bika min al-hammi wa’l-hazani, wa a’oodhi bika min al-‘ajzi wa’l-kasali, wa a’oodhu bika min al-jubni wa’l-bukhli, wa a’oodhi bika min ghalabat il-dayn wa qahri al-rijaal (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, and I seek refuge with You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge with You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge with You from being heavily indebt and from being overcome by men).”
He said; I did that, and Allah took away my worry and paid off my debt.
Narrated by Abu Dawood (1555). Its isnaad includes Ghassaan ibn ‘Awf; al-Dhahabi said: he is not strong. Hence Shaykh al-Albaani classed the hadeeth as weak in Da’eef Abi Dawood. But the du’aa’ mentioned - “Allahumma inni a’oodhu bika min al-hammi wa’l-hazani…” - is proven in al-Saheehayn in a report other than this story of Abu Umaamah.
It was narrated from ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a mukaatib (slave who had entered into a contract of manumission) came to him and said: “I am unable to pay off my manumission; help me.” He said: “Shall I not tell you some words which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught me? And if you have debt like the mountain of Seer, Allah will pay it off for you. He said: ‘Say: Allahumma akfini bi halaalika ‘an haraamika wa aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaaka (O Allah, suffice me with what You have permitted so that that I have no need of that which You have forbidden, and make me independent of means by Your bounty so that I have no need of anyone besides You).’”

Salaam sister Gina, it may be a bit of comfort knowing that the minute you take the shahada, all your previous sins are completely wiped away and you are equivalent to a new born; completely sin free ❤️
Those that revert have all their previous sins forgiven! You will be sinless like a newborn baby! So there is no need to worry about any past sins. May Allah make it easy for you to stay on the right path❤️
We are in the blessed month of Ramadan and the doors of mercy are wide open. Take your Shahadah, get connected with authentic knowledgeable teachers and repent sincerely. We are humans and its our nature to sin. Let that not pull you away from other goodness, the fact that you made it so far and realized your wrongdoings is in itself a blessing and a sign of mercy from Allah.
You might feel that even repenting from those sins, your heart still lingers in that sin and you still have the urge to commit that sin but its totally fine. Letting go of that sin will definitely definitely take a lot of time. You've been used to those sins for so many years in the past, hence letting go of it will take time as well.
Just hold on to Islam, take things one at a time and trust Allah. You'll be totally fine, In Sha Allah.

Assalamo Alaikum Gina;
When you repent and then make ghusul (full body washing, not just wadthu (ablution)) with the intent to make your Shahada (declaration that there is only one God and Mohamed (PBUH) was his last messenger, then ALL your sins are washed away and you start fresh! It is therefore a sin if others try to put you down by reminding you of those past sins And a sin for you to dwell on them, as you must trust Allah forgives sincere repentance.
Indulge in the pain now if you need to, and In’cha Allah you will be guided to your fresh New start. -Ameen 🤲🏻
I, myself also converted/reverted in 1986, but this is my 42nd Ramadan- Alhumdulilah 🤲🏻 because I wanted to study it first, experience it first… lol! Not realizing at the time that it was my destiny!-Allah Kareem.
Science can prove that every cell in our body has been replaced over a 7 year period, every cell! Our DNA maintains our unique codes, and our Memory engrams remain, but literally we are a fresh new human being every 7 years… why is that so much easier for us humans to grasp than Allah washing away our sins and starting us anew?
May you feel the same humbleness, deep joy and gratitude to Allah every day as you do in the day of your Shahada 🤲🏻. May Allah’s Peace , Guidance and Blessings be with you always- Ameen.

The transition from personal issues to the global issue is everything we needed! Condition of the ummah as a whole comes before our smallest personal struggles. Whenever I'm too much overthinking about my own problems, I start to think what and how to contribute for my country and the world, and all the overthinking vanishes right away. These tests are also gifts for us to be the best versions of ourselves, Alhamdulillah.

This one made me cry .
Feeling defeated by my sins.
I didn’t even set an alarm for fajr last night.
Went to sleep very late after a long day and even missed prayer and did not make it up last night.
A few hours after going to sleep I was awaken from muscle spasms in BOTH of my calves !
I rubbed them out and went back to sleep. The sleep made me forget about the occurrence.
Then a nightmare happened.
One that would surely awaken me when the climax hit.
It’s 25 min to fajr.
I will get hydrated (water and green goodness) and go back to sleep after fajr
Get up and wow my legs hurt, then I remembered something was trying to wake me during the night to pray.
I ate a large dinner at midnight I should be fine
But as I walk into the kitchen before I open the fridge the pan I use to make eggs before fajr every day shifts on its own in the drying rack.
It’s been there in the same spot 24hours!
This was my sign today
Then I open my phone to eat my eggs and watch todays video and it’s telling me how I’ve been feeling for so long .
I cried after the introduction. And two or three more times during the video
Today will be the most prayer I’ve done in my life
May Allah forgive me of my sins.

Subhanallah, the work you guys are doing in Yaqeen is phenomenal, may Allah accept this Ibaada. Every episode has touched each one of us or one of our closest loved ones to a point we can always relate. I think that this series needs to be in Netflix so the world can benefit from it. humanity is in a state of loss and this could open door to more people understanding Islam and embracing Islam as well.
