I love dandelions and their fluff. I used to come home with a yellow nose as a kid from sniffing them all day. And bring my mom a handful of wilted dandelions to put in a jelly jar on the window sill in the kitchen. 😂 I love the sunglass case I bought from you that has the girl in sunglasses on it. I use it all the time. Very well made! Thanks for sharing!
Girl, I do believe that you are my sister from another mother - but with a northern accent! Lol! All of your projects are exactly the types of things I like to make at my sewing machine! Thank you for the hours of inspiration!
I hope you give it a go. Sulky really works great for this kind of work. It's easy to transfer the design plus it acts as a stabilizer. Thanks so much for watching, Julia
I love the pillow cover! I took a art free motion class in early 90s. I wanted to try it because the big idea then was writing with puffy paint that all peeled off! So I can write with a machine. I have moslty clothig sewn, from thrift since young age 10. Im 67 now but I was upcycling before they called it that! Now looking for ideas to scrap bust and be creative! Will check out your other videos!
As a little girl in England, we used to call the Dandelion globes 'Sugar Fairies', and when we blew on them we would count the seconds until all the seeds were dispersed.
The slow stitching really enhances the design, Julia! I really appreciate your tutorials and showing us how you free-motion. I have only tried it once after watching you, but will definitely try it more often. I plan on making some replacement stocking tags using this technique to replace the old name tags for my family this holiday! Thanks for the Tute!
Snow and cold has arrived, so I find any spring/summer designs greatly welcomed! I have just loved all your designs and pieces of art you create! BTW...I am in st cloud, mn.
Hi, I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos. We live in Detroit Lakes now but lived in Buffalo MN for 7 years. I shopped all the time at St. Cloud. Can't believe all the snow we have already!
I love this so much, the best thing I've seen in a while and I pretty much love all your stuff and I will be buying this pattern and adding it to the other ones I have collected of yours. Thanks for the entertainment:)
Hi Julia I love how you used fabric for the dandelions what a great idea! I’ve always loved anything with dandelions on it. Thanks for sharing your talent! Xoxo 😘
I really appreciate your work and your presentation. Refreshing. Question? Are you using an embroidery machine or a standard sewing machine 🤔. I apologise for this very fundamental question.
I love your work and have watched a few of your videos since finding you. I’m wondering if you can help me out…there’s a few different types of the sulky solvy water soluble stabilizer, and most are white. Which specific one are you using? Thank you!

I really appreciate your work and your presentation. Refreshing. Question? Are you using an embroidery machine or a standard sewing machine 🤔. I apologise for this very fundamental question.
Hi, I am using a regular sewing machine. I lower my feed dogs and use a free-motion or quilting foot. Free-motion is fun! Thanks for watching, Julia
I love your work and have watched a few of your videos since finding you.
I’m wondering if you can help me out…there’s a few different types of the sulky solvy water soluble stabilizer, and most are white. Which specific one are you using? Thank you!
Hi, I am so glad you are finding my videos helpful. Here is an Amazon link to the Solvy that I use: amzn.to/3NeDPWh
@@stitchesbyjulia thank you so much! It arrived!
Why don’t you dissolve the solvy by immersing in water?
Hi Joan, That's another option. I find that dampened it and ironing is much quicker. Thanks for watching, Julia
What sewing machine name & model are you using? Thank you!
Hi Kathryn, I have a Janome Memory Craft 8200. Mine is 12 years old but it is still available. Thanks so much for watching, Julia
