    Someone probably already mentioned, but he took great pains to mail things from different post offices far from home. He’d travel to Utah to mail a bomb, to California to mail another, to Washington to mail another, etc. So knowing the post offices from which they were sent was not helpful.

    I remember this time very well, in the end, Ted's brother, David got a check for $1M from the FBI for turning his brother in, but in the end, he donated the majority of it to the victims families, some went to legal fees his family incurred during the whole ordeal, and since Rewards are legally taxable in the US, the rest went back to the US Govt. He likely didn't reap much reward, but he did the right thing, no matter how hard it had to be.

    He didn't mention it, but that Harvard stuff was the beginning of the CIA's MK Ultra...
    Despite having a manifesto, which screams, "crazy," the contents of it weren't that insane. A little more concerned over the state of society than most would be, but maybe we were the ones getting it wrong. I guess we'll see over the coming decades.

    It was Ted's brother's wife who figured out it was Ted. It was easier for someone outside of the family to put the pieces together. She then told Ted's brother her suspicion and it went on from the their.

      See.. That makes more sense to me, based on life experience;
      That the Sister-in-law connected the information 1st, and then encouraged her husband to come forward.
      She has an outside view of the family, being a person who married into it.
      And sadly, Women are familiar with the mindset and methods a Murderer will use on victims. I don't doubt that having that knowlege intensified her woman's intuition.

    I was with the USAF stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT then...not far from Lincoln and the cabin. In fact, I'd drive through there on my way to to see University of Montana football games on my way to Missoula. I even remember pictures of his shack loaded on the back of a flatbed truck being temporarily housed at a hangar at my base; pics were in the local and base papers. Brilliant, but definitely twisted over his formidable years Big story back then. Great analysis, guys. Love the channel! ;Cheers!
