wow these comments over 10 years ago
and I'm not saying that the English Dub is perfect, it has its flaws too, some greater than others. But, for the main man Alucard and for Sir Integra Fairbrook Windgates Hellsing, the voice actors were smoking good.. And the actual english vocabulary made all the scenes and also the entire show feel more appropriate for the country where everything is taking place.
Oh yeah, Walter's voice actor was also really good too.
It's not just about who came first, it's about who did a better job.
yeh its because in japanese anime they have the people doing the voices in the same room so that when they talk to each other it sounds more realistic, but in the english dub they talk in separate rooms. i think code geass is the only anime that is better in english dub then sub.
great quality ^_^
really first cool episode' looking forward to watch the rest of the anime!
this is gonna be interesting..... cant wait
really good anime 1st time I'm watching, very good really
hello, where can i find the remaining episodes for this version?
BBLAAARGH!! This was unimaginable levels of AWESOMENESS!
.......
......
.....I'm gonna shut up now..
i prefer subs cause the english dub sounds like they're not even being voice ACTORS, so emotionless, there's just no feel for the series if its like that :p
is that all the blood that this anime has or is it a version with most of the blood out?
Does Arucard cares Seras?
let me tell you why i prefer english subs rather than english dubbed...BECAUSE THE DUBBING MAKES ME WANT TO SHOVE SCISSORS IN MY EARS!! i watched that same scene in english dub, and it was ten times worse so gtfo
it gets better later on so dont worry:D
You do realise that the Japanese version which the sub is over is the original and the Enlish dub was made almost two years later? Isn't it obvious that the original version in the anime's original language should be the better produced and thus more popular?
@XxXOtaku556 judge them? its just random talk.. don't put names on all trash talk whenever you feel like it, ok? :P
how can you even take my comments so seriously when I talk about how I hear them? jeez..
Well, it's your opinion though and it's as valid as mine is. I just don't like some of the forced deliveries that come from subs, which are oddly enough english words.
Also, I think you're reffering to something else there.. I know Dubs can be fucking cheap sometimes and there are a few voice actors in this show that could have done a better job, but Alucard still had a good voice and Sir Integra still was an enjoyable performance, it all depends on what style of voice acting you prefer.
@XxXOtaku556 well, it sure doesn't sound original to me when you say words in a Japanese accent like, FUCKCK, PUNCK or the most infamous of all. /watch?v=LDnu0giUS00
just listen to any of these awkward english words being used by pure Japanese accents, its quite hilarious and sucks out all the emotions out of the scene for me =))
@XxXOtaku556 and, boy, I don't get anything you tried to say here.. I never insinuated anything what so ever that you said in this comment..
and frankly, I don't care who enjoys them, I find them hilariously bad :))
no, that makes absolutely no sense.. The original version can be bad too and when I hear pronounciation that spells out the letters PUNCK, I have to nitpick it of course since the actor is doing such an embarressingly poor job at spelling out just a few proper english words. :)
I'm not saying the japanese language makes it bad, it's those few english words that are thrown in randomly that makes this whole voice acting bad. I don't care if it's the original, it's still bad when they do that!..
See, that's why I watched this in the English dub and I'm all the happier for it. There are some things that the japanese dub does better, Seras sounds a bit more interesting, and her frightened gasp during the "ghouls shoot Alucard" scene is unfreakingbelievably well done... but "PUNCK!" and I'm laughing my ass off, all tension is lost.
Arucard: "PUNCK!!"My god that sounded even more stupid than I thought it would :))
No wonder they released it in English dub, a combination between Japanese words and English words just doesn't work. Especially when they shout the English words at random... -.-
I have no idea why people prefer the Japanese English subbed version :p
btw, isn't it weird that Kuchiki Rukia (from Bleach) is a lot like Seras Victoria here and that the same voice actress has done the voices for both?
