Hi Dave 👋 I really enjoyed this video, and I have been told by a driver friend that Dennis is terrible to drive with heavy steering and poor turning circle. Great video. Well done Dave 👏 👍
Hi John, glad you enjoyed, Not many of our drivers are a fans of the Dennis's, but there are a few that like them, trying to do anything other that go straight in a 35m3 truck is a pain simply because of how big they are. Thanks for the comment.
Hey mate, bloody awesome video. While this truck may not be too fun to drive, it certainly is fun to watch in action. Something about a big ol beast tearing through the suburbs 😂 Seems like she's taken a bit of damage on the arm behind the spill shield, potentially run into something whilst the arm was still extended. One of our trucks is also like it now. The white rim on the front drive axle is pretty interesting, looks like it's come off an Isuzu or something similar. Love the hopper slams, definitely needs the sensor looked at. Makes for a fun video though. Cheers mate!
@@wasteintasmaniaThanks mate, glad you enjoyed, it does turn out a good video, such a big truck in this area, Correct, the grabs on this truck are stuffed, the original arm get bent really badly in the middle (I believe it was caused by smashing into a wall in a Laneway) the rods are slightly bent now, they put a new arm on, then the grabs got wrapped around a pole and bent out, that’s what happens with a spare truck with lots of drivers that don’t care as it isn’t theirs. Good point about the white rim, only trucks I can think of that have white rims are indeed the little Isuzu Rear loaders they run in Melbourne Council, wouldn’t come as a surprise if it’s come off them, but who knows with citywide lol, I’ll have to check on the other 35m to see if it’s the same. Hopper slams are always fun, a few of our Dennis units have started slamming recently. Thanks for the comment.
@@WhittelseaGarbo he did.. until he noticed the hopper is smaller than his truck and takes forever to pack lol. That’s why they use it on glass normally
I had a thought. Now I know people still put glass in the recycling bins, but if the side loaders pick up the public bins, they're gonna be picking up some glass in there as well, which kind of defeats the purpose I think. Tassie had a pretty mad storm spanning for about a week, sounds like Melbourne got the tail end of that as well. Cheers
@@wasteintasmania yeah I thought about that a while ago, never really understood it and really defeats the point, council run a rear loader that empties both garbage & recycle litter bins as garbage, citywide do separate the recycle but then it’s got glass in it anyways, guess they can’t complain when people fill the yellows with glass lol. Yeah we had a few bad days last couple weeks, strong winds, rain, hail. Thanks for the comment.

@Merri-bekGarbo you're very welcome Dave 👍 The size of the truck definitely makes it more difficult to drive.
