      He's a hero cause he doesn't accept himself as he is, and consider being small -what he fundamentally still is- is abnormal?? I think he's far far less a hero than people who just goes on with their differences&suffering by a mental process and a good philosophy of acceptation and other values. This guy, whatever he chooses to be good for his mental comfort, it's great for him that he can obtain it and I wish him the best but he's certainly neither a hero nor an inspiration -to me at least. He's just a guy who didn't accept to be shorter than too much human beings.

    I need this! I am 5’4” and had so many women tell me “You’re a gorgeous man but you’re too short” “If you was at least 6’ tall, you’d be irresistible” Women don’t even look at you when you’re this short. No matter how handsome your face is, how muscular you are, height is something that every woman now a days is always attracted to. I’ve seen tall men who either are average in beauty or just ugly in general and I say to my self that is their height that attracts these women. Even men see me and say I’m short, I go to places and men try to pick a fight with me because they want to feel superior. A lot of people say “It doesn’t matter if you’re short, it’s your game” NO! Height DOES matter and it marks the difference when it comes to talking to a girl or trying to find someone to be with. I feel the pain of being short every single day, and I can definitely see this procedure being life changing for me if I do not encounter complications throughout the process.

      This is exactly the statement that is taboo among people who don't understand our experiences. We can be the best people but people just subconsciously dismiss you or ridicule you for being short. Then there are the people who do underbite or overbite surgery. They are not judged because those surgeries are common. But then when you talk about height surgery, people now judge you because there is pain involved in the recovery and it is uncommon. This judgement comes from what society consideres "normal." Sometimes you gotta break free from the status quo and redefine yourself. Yes, I would do this if I have the money in the future. 100%.

      The people who say things like "accept yourself like that" are the same people who were never in the same situation. They simply cannot understand.
      It's socially more acceptable for women to fill themselves with silicone and botox to look better (when in reality most look worse) than for men to get those 8-10cm more that would turn a short guy into a medium height guy. That's what most of us want, to be normal, not necessarily TALL. Just not to be the shortest guy in the room. I think it's a good reason.

    Honestly even being 176cm in one of the tallest countries in the world, i feel like i would be alot happier with something like 6 cm more, with the average for men here being around that 182+ cm it gets kinda tiring as it always comes up, so you're always reminded and made conscious about it, ultimately making me mentally compare with others in my head all the time, i have had the feeling before of just being like fck it, i just wanna feel completely normal in that regard, and just get myself completely out of the "short zone", to get my own, and other peoples thoughts completely off the topic, sometimes i feel like i would be more whole, if just i could delete this part of my "short comings" as in the same case as him, im also pretty decent looking and have bult a respectable physique, so it really feels like the "you're only as strong as your weakest link", as this shortcoming makes my other good attributes less, everyone are crazy for well built good looking guys, however height is always like 50% of it, you cannot be that handsome if you aren't atleast complete average height or more, you will not be seen as a well built guy either, cause others disregard it if you aren't atleast half a head taller than most girls. Also, it's not that my stature of 176cm is of any problem in many other places, it's just the fact that i live in the tallest scandinavian country still making a guy like me, who is probably completely average or even taller in most of the west, considered kinda short, im still being approximately 6-7cm shorter than the average, which is kind of a lacking zone to be in.

    Just remember guys: at the end of your life, nobody is going to be asking: “How tall was he?…” -Instead they are going to be asking: “How did he TREAT people?” - “What did he DO in life?” - “How did he leave the world a better place than he found it?” THIS should be our real goal. Just keep that in mind. Height & insecurity is temporary. Your purpose and legacy is FOREVER.

He can do both and actually he’s helping to change lives now by being brave enough to share his story publicly, which is inspiring others as he eloquently explained in the video.

    I’m 5’4 and was really insecure and hated myself because of it when I was a teen / young adult. Now at 27 it rarely bothers me. 😂 😂
    I honestly love it when people try to put me down because of my height and they notice absolutely no reaction from me. My height literally doesn’t affect me 99% of the time. Very rarely I can’t reach something or stuff like that. It’s all superficial.
    Now if there was a button to be 6ft I would easily press it, but im not breaking my legs for it.

    • @anotherway6427
      @anotherway6427 4 місяці тому

      Personally I am 5’3 at 21 years old, and I could not do this. There is something about submitting to the standards of society in such an extreme fashion that irks me; like I’d lose my sense of honor and pride. I personally won’t judge any who undergo this procedure though, I understand the struggle, nor anyone else who modifies their body to eliminate an insecurity. However, it begs the question must we be so eager to change our very being for the sake of shallow standards? And why must we be so callous towards others who we deem to be less physically desirable? Should it not be one’s character that matters rather than their physique? I understand the need for hygiene and good presentation, but to push it to where others find the need to go to these lengths seems so sad.

Cz in 40s, it doesn't matter what height is, it's all about life, the reason many people today not happy.
