In this video, I'm sharing my 2 years living in Revelstoke. Revelstoke is a great place to live if you want to experience mountain life and adventure. What would you do if you moved to the mountains?
@@BramskiVlogs No snow yet. September is my favourite non winter month here. Temps have dropped off, but extremely sunny with comfortable range of 18-24C during the day. Excellent hiking conditions! I will have the heating on come mid October though 😆
@@richard_ford you're right is a lovely month. Hiking is a little risky here now with the bear activity during September. But still nice enough to get out on the road bike.
FYI, Revelstoke is not a hidden gem. It has become very popular for a variety of reasons, skiing being just one. So accommodations are a real problem. The town has roughly doubled in population in the last several years, therefore affordable housing is non-existent. That being said, IF you do find a place to lay your head, you may never leave. Didn't even mention Rogers Pass. 🤯
If you're not from Canada and especially BC it's still a relative unknown, from a British perspective at least. I did a video on hiking in rogers pass quite recently, and I hope to do some touring there this winter. There's still so much to explore, buts it's not a holiday for me this I'm working full time which limits how much I can get out. 1
Revelstoke area is where I plan to go in the event of a Zombie apocalypse. Temperate climate, plenty of fresh water, good natural fortification. Beautiful area.
Police stingy in Revelstoke. Received speeding ticket on highway #1 eastbound going uphill in a three cylinder car, 5km over speed limit (this three cylinder car was maxed out going uphill at 85km/hr). 😊
They're just focusing on safety which is important in a small community town. The big trap is the hill up to the resort but it goes by a school. As for the highway I've not experienced that strictness. But conditions can change quickly in the mountains, especially with all the trucks there's so many crashes.
It's been brilliant to follow your time in Revelstoke Matt. Looking forward to the continued journey.
Thanks Simon!

So any news on sponsorship or immigration.
Short term: I'm able to stay until at least March on implied status having applied for a closed work permit.

The cops in town are generally “fresh out of depot”. Which is their three month training program.
