Otters can hatch eggs too much easier to get, you use Paras on alert to find them in rivers. Carry it with an Argy till you get a hit then check it's not a piranha. Really handy on aberration
@@HarvsCorner very true but otters are great for early eggs till you can make a/c or tame dimetrodon which aren't easy tames for beginning players. Also I've use up to 5 otters to hatch harder eggs just fine. Used combo of otters and a/c to hatch Drake eggs. Appreciate the response and science you did I learn more about ark physics from that which is very helpful to improve my game.

No idea eht anyone would spend the effort, resources, and time to get a dimetrodon when you could just grab a few Otters.
My Argentavis had an egg even though it’s the only Arge I have lol and I never knew fertilized eggs are the ones you can hatch cause I just found a bronto egg unfertilized and tried hatching it glad I didn’t try for too long lol
How do you know if an egg is too hot or too cold? You just say it needs the right temp but i dont see anywhere what the temp for the egg is supposed to be.
When you place the egg on the ground it will tell if you if its too hot, too cold, or incubating. If it does none of those...then you dont have a fertilized egg
I just got this game. And I’m still learning everything. But I hav 2 carbonemys and surprisingly they made an egg I seen a video where it was a quick tip or idk but they used standing torches by the egg. And my egg hatched after about 5 minutes, so I turned off all the torches 10 seconds later I read my baby Dino’s body will decompose after 30 minutes. I was so upset. But thanks for the info definitely using this later wen I play
on default settings you must watch baby dinos like a hawk lol. make sure you constantly put food in their inventory until they are 10% grown, then they will eat out of a trough

Only a few dinos drop fertilized eggs. Rock Drakes, Wyverns and a one other i believe. At any rate, the vast majority of the time you have to use tamed dinos
I wish you could hatch unfertilized eggs, I stole a spinos egg for killing my Carno and I stole a T-Rex egg while it was fighting some Argies. I stole a few other good ones as well.
how do i set my dodos to wandering/mate? i have been trying to breed the dodos and the eggs are not fertilized, probably because they arent wandering or mating properly. (pc)
the direction should not matter, but you may need more than one egg. Also check your logs to make sure the egg didnt hatch and the baby starved out. that happens sometimes too

This can sometimes happen for a few reasons. One, the raptor is set to aggressive, but also friendly fire. If you enable that (so you cant hurt tribemates or tribemates dinos) it may resolve the issue for ya
Dude just got to the point how to hack fertilized eggs sep one get fertilized height that has red smoke step to incubat egg by placing it in environment with right temp for egg or creat environment using campfire for egg that are too cold and in shallow water for eggs that are to hot and wait

So its the old Ark Logic... a Natural Egg cant be hatch cause its not Fertilized. So you need to Tame and Breed Dino to drop Fertilized Eggs. There is no real Reason why someone dont can hatch a Natural Egg... its just Ark's you need to grind it mechanic 🤣
Thats kinda what i mean. If you could grab eggs off the ground you would never really need to tame anything. On the flip side i play with mods that do this sort of thing and it tends to make it more immersive so i see your point

So if you have a electrical outlet (box thing) nearby the air conditioner, and the outlet is powered, you'll see a small wire appear. It connects from the outlet to the AC and the AC should turn on. Works the same way as lights or crafting stations that require power
Do not underestimate dimetrodons. I have never built an ac because of them.

Something like that usually works until you have wyvern, drake, or megachelon eggs. The temp needed is extreme hot or cold in those fields

Agreed they can, but the Hypo-Hyper insulation on the Dimetrodons is a lot more effective

I had a dodo farm that got demolished by a sarco however 1 female survived and while on a boat by herself she laid 2 fertilized eggs

Kibble makes taming creatures easier...its faster. There is a kibble making video in the ark 101 playlist

just enable mating, they do not need to be on wander anymore. Ark changed that bit. Just have them close together and enable mating on each one

if the health is going down, it should say why. Either its two hot or cold. ACs work well but the weather ingame can effect it as well.

Everytime I drop an egg it disappears
If it’s one you spawned in via commands it’s has 0 health so it’ll disappear. If it’s Normal check what it’s Heath is at also
