April, you are always dropping sooo many helpful videos. I just personally wanted to stop by and take the time to say Thanks for all you do. Sharing with my peeps...
Can you explain in regards to ACOS at 100% + The fact he states he's breaking even ?? When infact he is losing 4x or there abouts - Sales total does not indicate break even, Or am I missing something here ? with all the attribution in the world he will be lucky to get the ACOS back under a break even % so he's in profit. The only conclusion I can come up with is he's making $10 per book that costs $8 to print and he is relying solely on organic sales to make money.
ACOS doesn’t have the full picture. Ad spend provides a lift in organic sales and the dashboard also doesn’t show all sales. The best way to determine your financial picture is to calculate your royalties from all sources and then subtract ad spend. Jay prints his books in bulk so his books cost under $2 to print.
@@SelfPubMadeSimple Thanks for the quick reply, that makes a lot of sense then, puts anyone on KDP at a big disadvantage trying to balance Amazon Ads with a profit margin of only $3 to $4 profit margin to play with.
Yes it can be a challenge but ads can be profitable and can get more eyeballs on your book. Check out my videos for an introduction to Amazon Ads and how to manage Amazon ads like a pro. Great tips and tricks there!
Excellent Interview! So much knowledge there that I may have to watch it again.
I always slow it down because Jay talks so fast lol.
Excellent information and inspiring! Changing my thinking about marketing, quantities etc!

Great video as always! Thank you April! 😍
You’re welcome Guy!
Need to rewatch this! I used to do a very similar thing with science experiments. How could I forget all about that now that I am an author
Glad it was helpful.

All his cuss words are a distraction 🙄
I understand. Perhaps we will get an AI to be able to remove them along with filler words in the future, lol.
