    TWO SOLAR POWER SYSTEM INSTALLATION
    1. On-grid - also known as a grid-tie (or connected to Distribution Utility) solar power system
    2. Off-grid - also known as a stand-alone power system which completely not connected from the Distribution Utility, like Meralco or other Electric Cooperatives.
    All solar power systems work on the same basic principles. Solar panels first convert solar energy or sunlight into Direct Current power using what is known as the photovoltaic effect. Such DC power can then be stored in a battery or converted by a solar inverter into Alternating Current (AC) power which can be used to run home appliances and other Alternating Current (AC) devices.
    The primary the role of the solar inverter is to convert the Direct Current power to Alternating Current in order to run home appliances and other Alternating Current (AC) devices . In a ‘string’ inverter system, the solar panels are linked together in series, and the Direct Current electricity is brought to the inverter which converts the Direct Current power to Alternating Current power.
    Batteries used for solar energy storage are available in two main types, lead-acid and lithium-Ion phosphate or LIFEPO4 battery.
    An on-grid or grid-tie solar power systems are by far the most common and widely used by homes and businesses. These systems do not need batteries and use either solar inverters and are connected to the public electricity grid. Any excess solar power that you generate is exported to the electricity grid and you usually get paid or credits for the energy exported thru NET METERING SYSTEM which shall be approved by the concerned Distribution Utility prior to achievement of ZERO BILLING status. However, an on-grid solar power systems are not able to function or generate electricity during a blackout due to safety reasons. Since blackouts usually occur when the electricity grid is damaged; If the solar inverter was still feeding electricity into a damaged grid it would risk the safety of the people repairing the fault/s in the network.
    An off-grid solar power system is not connected to the electricity grid and therefore requires battery storage. Off-grid solar systems must be designed appropriately so that they will generate enough power and have enough battery capacity to meet the home’s requirements or the household’s load requirements
    The high cost of batteries and off-grid inverters means off-grid systems are much more expensive than on-grid systems.
    The battery bank. In an off-grid system there is no public electricity grid. Once solar power is used by the appliances in your property, any excess power will be sent to your battery bank. Once the battery is full it will stop receiving power from the solar system. When your solar system is not working (night time or cloudy days), your appliances will draw power from the batteries.

    Sir salute to you, pinag tiyagaan nyo talaga sir ang 10hrs capacity test ng sinopoly para ma ihatid lang sa mga viewer at solar enthusiast na tulad ko ang maka totohanan at matagal ng pinag de debatehan sa mgansolar forum kung sulit nga ba ang mag offgrid solar setup.     So comment lang po dahil maraming ibang factors in play here. Size of the room, the time na hindi tumatakbo ang compressor ng ACU. Your mileage will vary per user/consumer. Ang age din po ng ACU. Sana po ay up front ninyo na mention sa ibang hindi kabisado ang ganitong possibilities. Kasi po baka ang iba e magtaka at bakit hindi umabot ng 10 oras ang takbo ng ACU kahit pareho ang set up. Just an observation po, para lang po may konting clarification.

    Nice and informtive video . But the saving computation is too optimistic . How about conversion losses ... Best to have measured the actual kw-hrs generated by the inverter.

      Hi Sir, Thank you. About conversion losses dwell mainly on panels and wirings. The Inverter is only an avenue to convert energy from DC to AC and it is not the primary generating solar equipment. About the actual kwh, yes I agree, it should be continuous current load. Nevertheless, it is actual test, in fact the cell’s charges ran out of energy beyond the nominal time.

      @@solarenz actually sir you cannot compare the kw-hr capacity of the battery and say it is equivalent to the ac kw-hr of meralco that you save.

      @@solarenz the power from the battery is dc and when you convert to ac using the inverter there is a reduction in power . This is the efficiency rating stated in the inverter spec . So the 9kw-hr supplied by the battery is about 8.5kw-hr . And this affects your payback/savings and should be factored.
      Also a straight or linear computation is misleading . I dont think you can expect to have 9kw charge every day of the month from solar for your battery too.
      Your video is informative but we need to be setting the right expectatios sir

      @@edgarpenas206 Sir, the key word is estimate. I think there is no misleading in that statement. With due respect sir, I don’t want to belabor or put stress on the difference between 9kw and your battery energy computation of 8.5kw. In my opinion, it is moot because the statements here refer to estimate or equivalent words or meaning, and thus we are not looking for the tailor fit computation. I would appreciate it if you can do a video, same as this and present the kwh difference, because this discussion would entail so much time and efforts. Your video test is much appreciated if you could provide, Sir. Thanks.

      Magdedepende sa charging cycle ang itatagal ng battery. Kase based on data sheet, 2,000 cycles. Ngayon, kung daily ang charge and discharge at 80% DOD., baka umabot ng 5 years and 5 months naman.

    hi sir, good day po. anong rating po nung MCB nyo ng battery, anong size ng wires from battery to MCB, MCB to inverter. anong type po ng bms 8series anong amps? di na po ba need ng active balancer? saka need po ba talaga ipitin ng board yung batteries?

      CIRCUIT BREAKER 125A, 25mm wire or 4AWG, BMS 100amp, 8S,24v, need also ng Active Balancer. Yes, necessary to compress the cells.

    That is 9216 w-h not 9216kwh. Kung ganyan battery mo abutin ng 2years bago ma full charge yan assuming 3kw ung charger mo and 5hours a day ka mag charge.
    Dapat consumption ng acu ginamit mo. Example 7.8kwh ung consumption ng acu mo for the day time mo sa 11.5pesos per kwh so around 89.7pesos ung day saving mo or 2691 pesos per month or 32292 pesos per yr.

Maliwanag at napaka klaro, base sa caption at sa pagka banggit ni Sir Renz ang 9,216 Watt hours or 9 point 216KWh (9.216KWh) at hindi 9,216KWh (nine thousand two hundred sixteen kilowatt hours). Your being “pedantic” is causing confusion to the viewers who are browsing the comment section.

      @@JFLegaspi sir watch nyo @18:20. Kaya nga nakuha ni sir renz ung 3.47 pesos/kwh. Kasi 32000 pesos devided by 9216 kwh thats why he arrived at 3.47. W/c is technically wala syang ganung capacity. So kung susundin natin un kanyang ROI computation. Magiging 3472pesos /kwh edi lumalabas na hndi sya nakkatipid nagaaksaya lang sya kasi iminus daw ung rate ng meralco. Kasi ung price ng meralco 11p/kwh. LPanoorin nyo sir Analyze nyo muna ung last part sir. Ung computation. Hndi ko sinasabing mali video ni sir. Im pointing mali ung systema ngcomputation ng roi nya.

      Tuloy ko nlang po ung discussion para sa interested. Ung 3.47PHP ay cost per Watt of battery capacity. At meron tayong 9.2kW battery capacity na sobra sa isang gabi na nakaAC. If from battery na power source natin so savings assuming 4kW consumption ng ACU ay 4*11.5=46PHP. Sa 32k na gastos natin, mababawi ung cost sa loob ng 2 years (32000/46/365).

    Sir, sa 100% Depth of discharge po ba yan na computation? Kasi po sa manufacturer's recommendation 80% DOD lang po. Baka masisira po kaagad batt kung palaging fully drained.

    Ano po ba magandang lvd boss para makuha ung 80% ng battery capacity 13.0v ba boss?

      Sa LVD, pag LiFePO4, option na ng user na i-set sa 2.7 or kahit 2.5, so kung 12S ka, times 4 mo lang sa options mo na LVD at ganun din sa 24V for 8S, & 48V for 16S.
