Just a quick clarification: you absolutely can use normal shampoo for dolls. You can also use conditioner to help detangle and smooth hair. Generally you want to use a pretty cheap conditioner (the ingredients in cheap conditioners may not be best for our hair but they are great for synthetic hair.) I generally go for Suave conditioner and shampoo as I find the scents are nice and work well for doll hair.
I think she should have washed the hair when it was apart.
@@queenlokilaniOh agreed. Especially if she didn't seal the face after (Which I suspect since she was able to smudge it so badly). Washing the hair after a face up can ruin your face up. But I've also seen doll customizers pour boiling water over a dolls hair to lie it flat after a face up. Again as long as it's sealed correctly it should be fine but probably isn't worth the risk.

It's actually not originally a Japanese doll. It was originally an American doll sculpted and sold in America but later a Japanese company (Takara) bought the mold and started selling them with their own concepts.
Yeah, Blythe originally came with Littlest Petshop, if i recall correctly? I was surprised that it was it's own thing in Japan 👀🌸✨️ huh

@@RubykonCubes3668 @ateol Blythe and Little Pet Shop partnered for a collection that contained a mini Blythe Doll with the LPS called "Blythe loves Littlest Pet Shop" during the early 2010's. The two toy lines never originally were supposed to be the same line but were both invented by Kenner Toys before being sold (Blythe to Takara and LPS to Hasbro)
The clay used to make the boots was PURE MAGIC! I had no idea something like that existed and can be bought at the craft store. I was amazed
You can use a mix of fabric softner and water to clean/untangle doll hair.
fun fact: Blythe was first manufactured by Kenner in 1972 and the OG dolls can be rare because they didnt sell well

For the hair, you just take the ponytail and then tie a knot with it to make the ball portion. Then the tails just come out of the end. If you have extra hair for longer tails, you just pin it into them. I used to actually wear my hair like that in the early 2000s because it was a trend in college. The doll looks super cute!

I love love love sailor moon and doll collecting so best of both worlds including doll repaints. She is so beautiful and i love that you were able to get her hair and face very similar to match sailor moon. Blythe dolls are on my list of one day owning one but not anytime soon. I saw one at a show and the seller wanted more than I could bargain.
