SuperBook Old Testament Bible! Chapter 6 The Battle Of Jericho God said Joshua! Moses my Servant is dead and I have chosen you as the new leader of the Israelites to bring them into the Promised Land as long as I am with you Nobody will be able to come against you as long as You are here living. In three days I will help you all of you go over The Jordan River. It was only day one today and tomorrow will be the second day the next day was the second day and tomorrow was really the third day! And tomorrow like God had said He will help everyone go over the Jordan River. The next day everyone went to The Jordan River they didn’t know what to do it was in front of them in their way God had a idea He divided both sides of the River and in the middle of the path was Dry Ground! This was almost like the time that they had went through The Red Sea again only this time it wasn’t The Red Sea it was the Jordan River. God just did something different only it was the situation was the same. One night while Joshua was out near at Jericho He saw Someone coming to Him It was The Lord Himself! As a Man with a Sword drawn out from His Hand! When he saw The Lord standing in front Of Him He fell on the ground facing down He said Are you on our side or our enemies? He said Neither I am The Lord who commands the Army! He said What are the words You have for me Your Servant? He told Joshua This is what I say to you Joshua! I have given Jericho into the hands of you Each day only once six times All of you go around the Wall walking when it is The Seventh Day all of you will go around walking seven times! Then the priests will blow out the loud blast from the trumpets when all of you hear the loud blast from the trumpets Shout absolutely loud! And the Wall will come down! The next morning Joshua told everyone what God had said to Him and they did what He said went around the Wall each day six times and today was the seventh day! And everyone went around the Wall Seven times! Joshua then stood in front of them and said Shout! Shout! Shout! For Yahweh has given us Jericho! Then the priests blew the trumpets so loud and when everyone heard the loud blast from the trumpets They shouted absolutely loud! And when they did the Wall fell down!
I personally believe that God’s plan was sound because he knew that the people of Jericho would never expect a plan like that to knock down their wall. So when it comes down, they would be taken completely by surprise. And I believe this is why God told them to do it in a way that doesn’t make sense so that the enemy would be unprepared. He used the arrogance of the enemy to his advantage.
This is likely based on true events. When people march in locked step they create a reverberation that shakes everything around. An example of this happened in 1831 when a platoon of 60 British soldiers marched across a bridge that could easily have supported their weight. The cumulative effect of all those feet hitting the bridge in unison caused it to collapse. Fortunately no-one was killed but there were broken bones. The result of that event was a change to policy requiring soldiers to walk normally when crossing bridges.
And it’s interesting that they were commanded by God to utilize this method. At least that’s my understanding. I’ve never looked into this biblical account. Im just starting to learn. But so far all I know is that they were told to March silently outside the walls. And they had sent spies in and a prostitute named Rahab helped them so they spared her and her family.
@@PolarBearXx mountains /walls are symbolic to problems /trials/ obstacles we face in our lives and by putting our faith and trust fully in Christ and declaring his word we can overcome them .
I think God created everything everything being up there he enjoys different dramas by giving people projects ..if he's god can he be so still in rescuing istraelites out of egypt...

It was a city of sin. Child sacrifice and adultery.
It’s actually the acoustics in real life the sound waves can do that like a avalanche...and how a singer can open a bottle with her voice
Its symbolic (faith in the Lord that can move mountains.)
