holy hell ive been wanting to see you review this car since it came out. to me it is the best car for the money waaayyy over the c8. for 73k for a gt500 or tbe average c8 is the 85j handling package vette with the better suspension and brakes and the gt500 gets around the track and down the drag strip faster by far. only thing c8 has is a faster 0-60. And you can run 9.5 with less than 10 k in minimal mods and tuning.
Don’t forget the Camaro Zl1 1le with the 10 speed auto exists. It doesn’t have the power but lord knows it can handle for even less money than the gt500. Just another option!

Yes....but Car and Driver noted that the GT500 was over 4 seconds faster than the ZL1/1LE from 0-150. The Camaro does handle grwat but that wing holds it back at the upper end.

the fact you can run faster than a dodge demon with exhaust tires pulley swap and e 85 and still go to the track and kill supercars. not to mention you throw a whipple supercharger on and go mid 8s in tbe 1/4 mile . which a 100k dodge demon with 100k of mods and 90% of the demon changed from the trans going to a gm turbo400 trans and built crate motor and every panel being swapped to carbon fiber. and you run 8.5 with a demon drag car. Gt500 does that and then can still handle with factory trans and factory sealed engine. no heads no cams no pistons no rods

I've been a Vette owner for years but nothing (American) sounds better than that Ford V8, I am jealous of that aspect
they also get around a track like Luguna seca in the same time as the Ferrari F8 Tributo Lamborghini Huracan EVO and Porsche gt3rs. for 1/3 -1/4 the price oh and all are 4 to 5 seconds faster than the $95k z51 c8 corvette that you have to spend a grand on to get it in its track settings and you need new $1200 on new brake pads after 3 times at the track with the c8. people say the zo6 will be 80k. i domt see how seeimg tbe z51 got less stuff and the price went up.this year. the zo6 zo7 package is easily goimg to be in tbe 150k range i think. That engine is only for that car plus carbon ceramics cabon fiber wheels and wing. cftp gt500 is 15k extra but dont have carbon ceramuc brakes which costs a lot

You’re complaining about the interior at that price, but what about the price for the brakes, that DCT trans, a basically built motor from the factory, the blower etc, it’s a bargain for its price and the interior is still very nice. The infotainment is fast, smooth and responsive. How does it suck? Most people plug their phones up anyway and whatever your phone is running looks just as good in it as any other car.

Great video! This is probably my favorite car on the market right now. I will say, though, I am curious to know what has been done to this one since it has pretty obviously been modified.
Performance wise, Nothing except CAI and Borla cat back. Adds about 30hp. Everything else is stock. No tune or anything.
these cars are fast, but i find that most people who get them end up selling them before to long. they eat gas tires and brakes almost monthly. the MPGs on these are beyond horrible. tires are getting hard to find and cost is $$$$, so ya the car cost less than a gt3 etc, but youll end up spending more in gas tires and brakes in the long run.
Did they fix those rock collectors that sat on the side of my GT 350, I hated those things.

Is that carbon hood aftermarket?
Yes. The hood is Anderson Composites. The Carbon center vent is a Ford performance carbon version of the black plastic OEM one, and the side vents are by Multimatic, straight off the GT4 Racecar, like there wing risers.

How is t an achievement that a car with almost 800 horsepower is as fast as a car with 500hp around a track?
It weighs almost 1000lbs more and costs half the price. It's also a better daily driver. Huge trunk. Creature comforts. Comfortable adjustable suspension.

Haha drive one or own one for that matter, in stock form they will beat 95 percent of the cars on the road and with a blower swap they run 8’s with a stock unopened motor and trans. Find me one vehicle other that a mustang for around 100k that can do that…I’ll wait

@@Mystorytilnow back in 99’ i had a 5.0 which hit a curb and ever since I’ve seen ponies on the streets they always fishtail. Now if Ford actually made a good one this year I might take one for a test drive on a track but tbh I have seen all ponies tail into being destroyed. Hopefully Ford made an actual reliable engine and car this time around. It might be a tired joke but it’s still pretty accurate.
@@We_in_Miami dude, you are so far off LOL first off I can tell you have no idea what you’re talking about because in 99 they didn’t have a 5.0 in the mustang, the last 5.0 that was put in a Mustang was it 94 and they re-introduced it to the car in 2011. Instantly you’ve lost credibility with me. I’ve owned seven mustangs and all of them have been either supercharged or Twin turbo’d, All of them were 5.0’s ( like you said you had lol) 2013 and newer and my current one is a 2020 GT500. These cars especially the ones 2014 and prior didn’t have the type of stability control capabilitys that they do now. They also have solid rear axles which contributed to a lot of accidents. Also I drove every single one of those cars with traction control off and I’ve never had one issue. You probably had cheap tires on that car, mustang drivers are known for doing so. They don’t build their cars right, they add performance parts and don’t buy a suitable tire and or suspension and quite frankly half of them don’t know how to drive, which you already admitted by telling me you wrecked lol. The gt500 is an absolute monster and different than your 99 mustang GT. You wouldn’t be able to just test drive one on a track lol dealerships don’t even let you test drive them without showing that you have proof of funds so when you can afford to buy one then go out and buy it and then shoot me a message. Lol Again, this is coming from someone who owns a gt500, it’s a completely different animal. Don’t speak on something that you have no experience with or have any clue on what you’re talking about because it just makes you look really uneducated on public platforms. Dudes like you are what make real car enthusiasts like me look bad.
@@We_in_Miami also to comment on what you said about the engines being unreliable. What are you talking about? Fords Coyote motor has been one of the most reliable engines on the planet. These cars make stupid power and are light years ahead of any other domestic motor manufacturer. The predator motor in this Gt500 is reliable as hell and has seen eight circuit quarter-mile passes with stock unopened motors and transmissions. All while being able to daily drive the car. Again you’re comparing your 99 mustang GT to an extremely researched and developed American supercar. Wrong comparison to make. Lol
