Looks, performance, heritage, price, so much things make this car far superior to whatever Dodge and Chevy would dream to have and even most Porsches..only downside ever.. no manual transmission ???
Selective memory engaged. Remember the Demon? I believe it had 840 HORSES! The Hellcat Redeye has 797HP. You guy alway forget Dodge. The guys who brought the mussel car back.
Ford and GM were making performance cars all through the 90s and 2000s while Chrysler was busy making shitty economy cars and minivans. Dodge didn't change anything lol.
@Junior e39 ///M5 The Hellcat and Demon are only good at drag racing. The GT500 is fast in a straight line and it runs with a 911 GT3 RS around a race track. I'll stick with the much better GT500 and you can keep your boat.
@@scottducote7389 Lol, GM is trash compared to Dodge, really dude? I sold both, trust me, I saw more people in service with new cars at Dodge than any other Manufacturer. They weren't there for oil changes either, trust me.
Manuals are also slower and inconsistent. 2013-14 GT500s get spanked all the time by lesser cars at the drag strip because of that manual transmission. Manuals are only for fun. DCT for winning and consistency.
probably longer than you think. most of these cars will be "garage queens" getting wiped down every sunday afternoon by a microfiber cloth before turning the lights out.
Not to mention, the only reason that is a thing is because Ford sells so many damn Mustangs that every 10 cars you see on the road are one. Statistics proves the more of something there is, the more likely you are to see something happen to it... so of course the jokes are true, because there are 80 bazillion Mustangs out there. I bet if there were as many McLaren 720s on the road. It would be the talk of the town for crashes..
High power mustangs in untrained hands are dangerous the ass end will pass you if you don’t know your car I had 14 GT with only 430 to wheels and it almost did it to me when I first got it drove a friends hellcat charger it was much more stable doing burnouts
@@surfnblues729 The current gen Mustangs have a better steering model and overall handling, they are much more stable and easier to drive, better then that hellcat, especially in corners. Tho with the more power increase it might still be to much for any young adult to handle, so the price will balance that it so teenagers can't get their hands on it, which was mostly the cause of all those Mustang accidents in the past, not only that but Mustangs are cheap when compared to other powerful cars for the same quality, which is why it sells so well, as it's in fact the best selling sports car in the world. It also didn't have IRS steering back then in those older models. So basically; A cheap yet very powerful car that sold by the millions (which we already addressed that the more of something there is, the more of that something will happen to it), with no IRS steering, and stupid teenagers trying to show off in front of their friends with their parents car or that bought their cars just only spells disaster really. I never found the jokes to be super accurate or really to be taken seriously, it was funny at first but it just got annoying/overused and or just a bad way to represent the Mustangs and their reputation.
Lmao! 99% of people complaining about it being an auto DCT can’t afford one anyways. The 10 speed auto in my 2019 raptor supercrew and 2019 mustang gt PP1 are amazing. I can’t wait to have an actual DCT in a mustang. I’m getting a gt500 and love the fact that it is an auto DCT. If you want a manual, go buy a manual camaro ZL1, gt350, mustang gt, or a camaro ss. There are still many American sports cars to choose from.
That's the way everything going. Manual transmissions are dying in modern day sports/pony cars. Manufacturers won't to eliminate driver error, and not shifts quicker than a dual-clutch transmission.
I have been released manual edition of the GT500 the near future. Obviously if you're tracking a car on a quarter mile drag strip to go to Matick is faster but if you drive in a car in the street manual is much more fun
I remember a few weeks ago posted a review of this without John Davis and I had to stop watching. Anyways there are just some cars that should have a manual option. Any American muscle, 911, M3, corvette. Sure performance is important but these cars are drivers cars and to their owners joy is just as important as numbers. Also the ford gt should’ve used a gt500 engine like it did in 2005. Ford looks stupid making a car that isn’t on par with their mustang. Imagine the zl1 making more power than the z06 or even worse the ZR1. Fords become a joke since the early 2000’s. I mean look at that new mustang suv. You’d have to be drunk on flint Michigan water to think that was a good idea
I kind of miss the days when we got so excited the "new" Mustang puts out a whopping 225 hp..seemed more fun...its just a hp war with cars that get u in trouble quicker not more fun..and $$ never mind.
@@teggsrb18c1 No i agree for sure it is a great time but it was fun doing light mods and then going for a ride to see the difference..Now the party is over in 3 seconds...Then 6 sec 0 to 60 was fast and just seemed more fun..u dont need 700hp to have fun..plus the cost faced by heavy depreciation..Leno says his 50 hp honda lil car is one of his most fun cars!!
Ford made it DCT only, because Shelby owners can't drive....lol. I've seen many 2013-14 Shelby GT500 owners get smoked at the drag strip by cars with less horsepower, because most people don't know how to drive a manual at the track or strip. The DCT allows the GT500 to showcase its max potential, without the human error. Manuals are really only for fun.

Steve Cea and then after the first 60 it’s ALL FORD BABY! does the quarter in OVER a second faster
C8= plastic two seater mullet mobile.
And has no back seats and is driven buly guys that don't know how to drive lol lol
@@devinbender8428 check your facts, CAR & DRIVER tested 2020 corvette at 11.2 sec in quarter mile so it looks like a tie with motor week time .....
Bruce Leroy we’ll see?
C/d put the C8 11.2 @122
The gt500 has done 10.6 @133 so over a half second!
Then on a lap course it won’t even be close!
It's not about shifting faster with dual clutch. Most people aren't on a drag strip on a daily basis. It's about being a part of the car, feeling it, and there is nothing more satisfying then grabbing gears.
That voice could put an insomniac to sleep
Looks, performance, heritage, price, so much things make this car far superior to whatever Dodge and Chevy would dream to have and even most Porsches..only downside ever.. no manual transmission ???
No one cares how fast it shifts... it's just more fun to drive a manual
Fake news
@@Chris-us8yq so you like to ride automatic motorcycles? I'm just asking because you have a honda cr on your page.
Not when you drive one for your job.
der Jakob didn’t know this video was about dirtbikes??
@@jamesschultz30 and who is driving manual mustang's for work?
I've never been a mustang fanboy (aside classic Fox bodies), but gotta admit that's pretty sexy.
Too bad about the loss of the manual shifter.
Humans are to slow
Love how the horse ran into view. 👍🏾
and still slower than a vette to 60. Ford needs to put this on a serious diet. I guess this means it will not drink oil like the 5.2 in the 350?
Hope it holds up better too. A lot of people having issues with the 5.2 in the 350.
Not slower than a vette in a quarter mile tho. To me that’s where it matters
Okay and so is a camaro. The corvette is lighter and quicker to 60, but not faster
Can't wait to see a track comparison vid vs the gt350R
Selective memory engaged. Remember the Demon? I believe it had 840 HORSES! The Hellcat Redeye has 797HP. You guy alway forget Dodge. The guys who brought the mussel car back.
Ford and GM were making performance cars all through the 90s and 2000s while Chrysler was busy making shitty economy cars and minivans. Dodge didn't change anything lol.
Not Dodge. You mean Fiat.
Andy E and ford n Gm are still trash compared to dodge today
@Junior e39 ///M5 The Hellcat and Demon are only good at drag racing. The GT500 is fast in a straight line and it runs with a 911 GT3 RS around a race track. I'll stick with the much better GT500 and you can keep your boat.
@@scottducote7389 Lol, GM is trash compared to Dodge, really dude? I sold both, trust me, I saw more people in service with new cars at Dodge than any other Manufacturer. They weren't there for oil changes either, trust me.
Too bad you can’t buy the car for less than 20k over msrp in the western half of the US
The reasons for getting rid of manual transmissions altogether is ridiculous
Declining manual sales
@@lancesingleton3700 v8 are declining in sales as well. so what? people should still have the option
@@kingjoffee1072 the bean counters at gm and ford would disagree
What was that beginning lol, “you might not care about x, x and x but people do” 😂
No manual? No interest.
Ronald Tartaglia ok boomer
What's up with this stupid boomer shit
Manuals are also slower and inconsistent. 2013-14 GT500s get spanked all the time by lesser cars at the drag strip because of that manual transmission. Manuals are only for fun. DCT for winning and consistency.
Auto = no skills
Let’s through a carb on it...And some points ignition. Oh, and some 14” bias ply tires!!
It’s called technology. It makes things better
Finally a Ford I would buy and be proud to own. I’m a fan and at $73k that’s nothing when a Lexus GS F is 80k + and half the car. One word: Sick
How long till there is a UA-cam video of one of these hitting a tree leaving a Cars and Coffee.
probably longer than you think. most of these cars will be "garage queens" getting wiped down every sunday afternoon by a microfiber cloth before turning the lights out.
@@whitboy1982 Yea, that is how it works really, the logic totally makes sense. Tho people don't care about logic, let's just make stupid jokes....
There are still many American sports cars to choose from.
a Brand New 7-speed Tremec DCT sounds pretty bad ass to me
You turn a dial to put it in gear .. Wow that’s pretty cheesy
You're obviously a novice
Good to know the Horsepower wars are still very much alive even 60 years later.

What no manual? What a shame.🤦♂️
Lazy posers always say DCT is faster
@@chrism.728 This transmission will shift faster than even a seasoned driver will ever be capable of.
