tl;dr - i beat this offline with a 3:17:52 (updated route), but wanna wait for 20th anniversary edition before grinding more. We are praying that the 20th Ann. has cutscene skip capabilities, if so, it would probably be a long time before I came back to this version unfortunately. @@Tauzyn Patience is key, I put well over 100 hours into the theory & practice of the 100% run before actually performing a run! But that said, 4h 11m is an incredible time! My best advice is wait for the 20th Ann Edition with it cutscene skip capabilities! lmao
This is such an underrated gem. Unrelated but I always felt like this game takes place in the Star Wars Galaxy. Like maybe in the Outer Rim or just a long time after the events of the movies.
It is amazing how memory works, watching your videos now as I stumble upon the 20th anniversary game edition and wanted some nostalgia, but I am amazed how can I remember so much of the sound effects and everything, played this game 20 years go :D ahh, sounds almost Like I heared it months ago.. 2006, 18 yrs ago i was 7yrs old, i completed this game yet i didn’t managed to 100% it as i was young n all i know was just wanting to complete the missions haha, now i’m 25 yrs old & i’m satisfied to watch you explored everything n completed it 100% haha
2006 i was 7 y too and got the game from a friend and got a crazy fan.. gaming it on ps2 still havin, ps3 and ps4 20th ann.. i also boight it on steam to play it on my laptop when i am gone for long.. work aint keeping me from loving bge.. and now after 18 years i am 35 and still play it

Buy the 'animal detector' from Ming-Tzu's shop, then once you have it, check the map in the pause menu when you are outside in Hillys. This will show you the remaining animal's locations. If there are none on the world map, it's the space whale. And yes it is! You're the first one to acknowledge that haha, thanks~

While on the subject of animals, let me ask you this trivial question: If I'm not mistaken, when you complete your last roll of film, you unlock an Mdisk called 'animal species'. Does this mdisk show animals in a fixed (i.e. predetermined) order, or does it simply show them in the order you found them? E.g. the top row represents your first roll of film, the row underneath the second and so on...

I saw a video where 'canis canis' was listed as 'animal 1'? Would canis canis be shown as animal 1 even if you took that photograph last? And since you're so great an answering questions (thank you for that!), what's the point of no return? If I had to guess, it's in the transmitter entrance (room with mdisk reader), more specifically when you use the elevator that's there (which takes you to "the heart of the base"). Or is there more than one point of no return? How do they work in this game exactly?

@@bewdgames I agree btw there’s this weird bug that happens at mama gos where the beluga entrance opens without you even unlocking it I played a few times and it ended up glitching the game out so when I was supposed to go to the old slaughterhouses it glitched and set the beluga too appear I mentioned it and it was a glitch used for speed running but it’s a 0000.1% chance for it happening even if your heading to the nutripils factory it happened
