Really enjoyed your UP video. There’s a lot to do in Marquette. Northern Michigan University is in Marquette, not University of Michigan and Michigan Tech University is in Houghton, not MIT. The Jampot rocks! Thanks.
I love the UP. Such a beautiful place. FYI 🙂 The college in Marquette is Northern Michigan University and in Houghton the college is Michigan Tech University.
I knew you would love the Upper Peninsula. It’s awesome. Sad you are leaving there and or left there. Glad you to those place in Marquette and Coppertown. My great grandfather worked in the copper mines. Plus he made furniture too with my grandfather. They lived in Calumet. That fish did look good you ate. My sister and I still have rocks we saved from Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Congratulations on 50,000. That was cute you at the end you were both doing the happy dance. So happy for you both. Have a great night and week and see you soon!
I have watched your pictured rocks post, your tauqunemon falls post , and now this one. I enjoyed all 3 immensely. You do a great job of detailing the attractions of each area. I have lived in Michigan for 62 of my 67 years. I have long known that Michigan generally is a well kept secret from a lot of people around the country. When they think of Michigan, they think of the auto plants in Detroit and Flint and the crime rates associated with those and other cities in the state. However that is southern Michigan. What most people are not aware of is the beauty that is the northern half of the state. You might think if people ever look at a map and see all the water surrounding the state, the 11,000 inland lakes and all the National and state forests, they might think this is a place worth visiting. It certainly is. You guys did a great job bringing out the natural beauty and charm of the northern lower peninsula, and the upper peninsula. Just one very minor detail, just to give the people of Marquette and Houghton their just due. Northern Michigan University is the college in Marquette, not The University of Michigan, which is in Ann Arbor, in southeast Michigan, and Michigan Tech University sits in Houghton, not MIT which is in Massachusetts. Oh, congrats on your 50k subscriber. I see today it is up around 63k.
I just want to say that you guys do such a good job of informing people. It's not all about you. For example, the point you made about an ADA compliant way to see a site is so thoughtful. You rock!
Lived in the UP many years; now I live just south of the bridge. Know well all the places you highlight in this video. To me, the UP is the most beautiful, wonderful place on earth. Thank you for this wonderful video. God bless you both.
@@EatSeeRV Actually you said Marquette was home to part of the Univ. of Michigan but it's Northern Michigan Univ., its own entity. Houghton is home to MTU (Michigan Tech Univ) not MIT. But I'm a native Yooper!
This channel could easily be 100k but congratulations on 50. More people need to see your channel because you guys do it right. Fun, beauty, educational and excitement you have it all. If you guys haven’t made plans to be somewhere in late September into October then stick around in Upper Michigan for the change of colours. You will love it and so will the subs. Love you guys. Great video on my home state of Michigan. Keep up the great stories, maybe one day you will reach the 1 million subscribers mark like someone else I watch did.
CONGRATULATIONS on the reaching 50,0000 subscribers. We love your videos. Also thanks for sharing our Great State of Michigan. Lots to explore up in the U.P. I am just overwhelmed with all the UA-camrs coming to our state this year. Happy camping...
Thank you! We didn't expect Michigan to be as crowded as it was this summer either. We're happy to hear you enjoyed traveling your home state with us! - Dennis
Cliff jumping! Jumped off some big ones in my time but scaling back now to 25 ft or less. Watched two people injure themselves in front of us at South Point on Big Island two weeks ago and gave it a pass. Who knew, UP? Looks awesome and right time of year to be there.
Whoa, and that's why I (Dennis) do not jump off cliffs! This is definitely a good time of year to explore the upper peninsula. The weather was mostly agreeable and we missed the hordes of biting flies! - Dennis
First comment! Just had to put that out there. May comment more at the end. P.S. Liz you are a jumper!! Enjoyed the Michigan series. We would have never thought; however, your videos definitely put it on our radar. Congratulations on 50k+ subscribers.
You both deserve the 50k. Your vlog did more for Michigan than much of the Pure Michigan campaign. Now the challenge: come back for 4 more weeks next summer and find even more things to do. If you want to hang 50 miles north of Detroit my front yard has hookups on flat tarmac, with Internet. Lots to do and see.

Thanks so much for these amazing videos guys, you’re naturals at this, always feel like I’m really there. Michigan is absolutely stunning, would love to see it for real. 50k subs, so massively deserved 👏😍
Love the Michigan series! I'd note however, that Michigan actually has a TON of option for free/boondocking. You can camp for free almost anywhere on National forest lands and most state forest lands, and in aggregate Michigan has more of those than anywhere east of the Rockies. Also, much of the CFA(commercial forest access) land is also open to camping for free as long as you contact the land owner(usually a forestry or mining company), and I've NEVER been turned down for aa camping request. In a couple of decades of camping in Michigan, I've only used a park once, as it was more of a family get together. Otherwise, just find a nice spot in the National forest and you are good to go!
We never said there wasn't any just that the free camping there is is all remote areas. Glad to hear there are lots of good choices, but from our research it wasn't near anything we wanted to visit and cell service was shoddy. Since we work from the road, we need service. Thanks for sharing this tip for others though!
@@EatSeeRV I understand the need for good cell service, that's an issue in much of the rural U.S, and I know you didn't say it was entirely unavailable, but I was just replying to the comment you made that there is not very much free camping in Michigan(4:45 time stamp) when really it is VERY abundant, likely more so than anywhere east of the Rockies!
What a magical number- 50k +! So thrilled for you. You deserve it. I've once again been entertained, informed and taken on a wonderful journey. I do so enjoy that which you provide here. You share your joy! That's wonderful. Thank you. 💖 🙏 🇳🇱 🙋♀️ 🇳🇿

Wonderful videos of Michigan and congratulations! Will you make a guide of Michigan similar to the one you made for Mexico?
Unlikely. But stay tuned for next week's vlog. I think it may be somewhat of a helpful guide.
You certainly make me want to go there! That gorge was amazing - I’d go there for that alone 😂
