    A man with a deep voice that knows how his voice travels very cool. Here in the USA you can hear them through a church because they don't modulate their volume level.

    Great video, I like the idea of the thermometer. I got this for Christmas for my new campervan and I’m excited to try it out. Your video was very helpful. Thank you.

      It’s a game of trial, error and experimenting. I haven’t used my omnia ovens in a few months as been between builds. My favourite dishes to cook are a nice beef stew / hotpot, and the flapjack. It cooks a great banan bread too, the silicone inserts are well worth getting to use

    But “flimsy” is great for van travel when you have pay loads to respect. I love mine, got the silicone etc and the thermostat arrived today. Great review.

    I tried your potato wedges last night in the one I got as a Christmas gift last week. We enjoyed them very much. I made corn bread earlier this week and it came out well. I like your idea to use a thermometer and used mine. Thanks! Happy cooking!

    Je moet er rekening mee houden dat je de temperatuur in het bovenste gedeelte meet en deze is lager dan onderin
    Dit staat ook telezen in de handleiding van de orginele OMNIA thermometer dit kan zomaar een 30 graden schelen

    Nice video. I love how you put the thermometer in there. Did it come with the capability to screw it on, or did you rig that up? I like it.

    Add a large washer under the lid knob.

    Hiya I love your Omnia vids . I have just bought one and have been using at home on our electric hob to practice before we go camping , I used it once and the bottom tray has gone brown and discoloured, is this normal ?

    • @BaronVonPrepper
      @BaronVonPrepper  3 роки тому

      The metal base will change colour however I don’t know if it will work well on electric, and is designed more for gas applications

    we've recently got one of those outdoor chef thermometers for ours after your recommendation, so useful and interesting to see the temperature its cooking at!! Our bag hasn't held up as well as yours though, the drawstring has gone weird and doesn't work anymore :(

    • @BaronVonPrepper
      @BaronVonPrepper  4 роки тому +2

      I don't know how accurate the thermometer is temp wise, all I know, is that it gives you a better guide than 'medium low heat' 'medium heat' etc etc my two burners are different sizes, so one on high, is the same as one on medium, yet if I know something cooks at 200degrees then I can try and get the temp there etc. that's gutting news about the bag, is it just the string that's gone pants, or is the bag broken too?

    • @TwoHumansBeing
      @TwoHumansBeing 4 роки тому +1

      @@BaronVonPrepper yep totally get that! and its just the string, the bag is still fine! :)

    The Omnias are great but overpriced. There are other brands which are little cheaper and some of them even larger and certainly more sturdy. Accessories for the other brands (Mainly Ibili of Spain and Versilia of Italy) are available if you are willing to trail and error in regards to the measurements.
    Racks need to be fashioned/modified from cooling racks and anybody should be able to track down a fitting set of silicon molds on the website with the big A...

    Omnia again? 😂 no it looks useful little tool. How’s it been in a camper? Made you think now this is living lol or van as convenient?

    • @BaronVonPrepper
      @BaronVonPrepper  4 роки тому +2

      yeah, I really should become the amnia channel or something. now I have some new editing tools I want to get back filming and shooting to make some more (non amnia related) content. the camper is nice, means I can have my kids as my ex isn't a fan of them being in the van, also gives me somewhere to shower, as I usually shower at work but I'm off currently. its a tough one to compare the two, my van is my home so has everything in it, where as the camper is a better lay out to spend a long time in. this is perfect right now as I'm testing both back to back, so can decide what I want in my next build, get the best of both worlds

    Oven? do a whole chicken in it then come back, Lets be generous 'Ovenette'. As for the cost for this flimsy 'I could crush it like a coke can' item.? £60 upwards AND its made in China.. C'mon... Dutch oven with a trivet, been around for centuries and WORKS and LASTS... Over Priced Rubbish IMO.. Hey but you do you

    • @markcarpenter3600

      I could crush my Colman stove with one hand but I don't. The light weight of this kit is a plus for many of us, who need to keep the our vehicle weights down. Ourverland vehicles always have a weight problem, so you are always looking everywhere too cut every ounce you can! We have shed all of our cast iron cookware, that we started out with for aluminum and carbon steel. With a little care it should last for years. I would love to carry a Dutch oven set, but its far too heavy. Theres nothing like watching a sunset with brownies and ice-cream on a 2 track, hours from the edge of pavement.
