What a great story. My dad was born in Albany in 1908, and worked for GE as a young apprentice. He first saw Lake George as a teenager and fell in love. After college he returned to GE, working first in Erie, PA, and then back to Schenectady in the late 40's. He bought his first camp on Lake George at Assembly Point, and later a place just south of Bolton Landing. We had great times there as a family... now I know the unsung hero who helped make Lake George the paradise it is today.
An absolutely wonderful and most inspiring video! Thank you so very much, indeed, for bringing this amazing positive story of nature conservation by means of perseverance to my attention!
This is awesome! Thank you so much. I've always seen the fight to keep the lake pure but never knew about the history of the cause. Wonderful story. Love the FISCHER logo as well! (LOL)
