When my Professor announced that she was going to play a song about the nation's 1st Secretary of the Treasury after the Revolutionary War, I braced myself for a boring snooze-fest. I could not have been more wrong about Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop masterpiece. From the opening line until the last verse, I sat transfixed with my mouth hanging open, simply stunned by his incredible delivery and performance. 10 outta 10.
Please watch it all! ❤❤ the lyricism is incredible This is the first song of the musical and the whole thing is hip-hop/rap. There are quite a few reactions out there but not many from people who are able to break it down, so i think people would definitely watch it!
I've seen this on the stage twice in NYC and once in London (I was curious about the Brits' reactions to King George!) and all threee times everyone in the audience was in tears after the FIRST song! It was spectacular. Here's some King George: ua-cam.com/video/ynBgEBhygGw/v-deo.html
Great reaction! Want more Hamilton? The big award ceremony for plays in America is the Tony Awards. Hamilton swept them, and was invited to perform a piece from the play at the ceremony. They chose The Battle of Yorktown, where Hamilton leads the newly-trained American forces in the decisive battle of the American Revolution. This led directly to the British surrender, where the British army band played "The World Turned Upside Down". ua-cam.com/video/ZNnDjLHLtuo/v-deo.htmlsi=jtR_DyqRmeKHvGp9
Great reaction and breaking it all down Anthony! This artist really skyrocketed to stardom after the play Hamilton came out about one of America's founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton. Some history regarding the White House performances - the Kennedy's really put the performing arts in the spotlight back in the 60's thus the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts was created and annually honors great talent and legends. The Obamas regularly hosted performers at the White House as did other presidents. There are some incredible performances at those Kennedy Center Honors in tribute to huge legends from all musical genres. You can see many of them on YT. Thank you for posting this one.
I think you can say a new level of stardom or" household name stardom" after Hamilton. Because I saw " In The Heights" in Dallas years before Hamilton came out. (Now be it , I didn't know who he was, but I was also in HS ... and not that into the musical world ...)
Please react to the whole Hamilton Musical !!! Trust you'll gain some traction on your videos..Some Hamilton fans search people reacting to hamiton to specifically see others react. (I am one of those fans 😂. currently watching 2 other reaction YT breakdowns series😊)
