I helped 4 of my brothers and sister move in, the first day is nothing but chaos. It is too late now but never sign up for early classes.

Good video Jess. I would keep some jerky in your room providing you like jerky. Get you some cheese sticks as well. Maybe some fruit and nuts. Those would be some good snacks to tie you over as well. Stay safe and have fun. I'm so happy for you.
One thing you could do is put a over the door shoe organizer inside the closet and use command hooks to hang it. Use it for small items. I have done this several times. Also get an egg crate or foam topper for your bed will be a lot more comfortable. I know here in the states most kids will use risers for the beds to create more storage underneath the bed.

I stayed in South residence Prairie in 2004. People said the residence was designed by a prison architect.
After laying on it's back the mini fridge needs to stand upright for 24hrs prior to turning on.

Thank you for sharing your day and life at the campus. Happy to hear you have made new friends, but knew you would. Are you allowed to have a small microwave in your room? If so theres some easy little breakfast egg cups sold near where you would purchase eggs. They're pretty good, but I think you may need more than 1...lol. No need for more stress kiddo, just do what you have time for, even if it's just once a month. Just knowing that you're OK and happy is all that matters to me. Big hug. Best always Rusty in OK

Invest in a memory foam mattress topper.
Do you have an electric tea kettle? Lots of shelf stable foods that you just add hot water to (tea, cocoa, cider, some types of coffee filters, oatmeal, soups, etc….)

Welcome to Guelph! Move here with my family from the farm in the Atwood Listowel area back in the mid 80s (actually work out the 1 Stone Rd Complex). My daughter went through U of Guelph back about 10+ years ago, she was over in the East residence. If you are looking for food earlier; there`s Micky D`s and Tims on Stone Rd (about a 5 minute drive) across from the mall. Symposium opens at 8 am (near the Tims, behind Petro Canada) they have a great breakfast... ate there a few weeks ago. Also Deny`s just opened up a few weeks ago though they are on Woodlawn take the Hanlon all the way - turn left and they are on the right.
Watching you made me cry. I've watched you grow up and here you are such a capable college student
Don't party too much, but do party whenever you can and know your limits when it comes to alcohol. Have a good time in college and I hope you get on well
You said at the end your back home now to catch up on sleep. Is that home home or college dorm room home 😬

Jess, this a new start. Take some time to plan out/write your goals. Block out time in your day to accomplish these goals. Habits are the power and clarity you need. To not waste time. My son started his senior year of college in August. It’s pretty universal to have trouble with college WiFi - and for dorm mattresses to be desperately in need of those squishy mattress pad toppers. Film and share stories with us, when you *can* - and don’t stress if you only get sporadic opportunities to film things. We’ll be happy to hear from your adventures, but also know you have lots of other stuff to do than upload to UA-cam😊. You will do great things this year!

should get yourself a toaster and electric frying pan very small but one you get toast other can cook most things, don't know the rules of cooking in a college room. never been so its interesting for me.
