I would LOVE to see your reaction to Dan's cover of Rhapsody of Fire's "Son of Pain". It's hands down his most hauntingly beautiful song with some of his most powerful vocals. It will give you chills! ❤
I had the same reaction the first time I heard this 😂. Crazy that one person can hit all those parts. Having sung the soprano part in church, damn that’s hard! Great reaction and fun to watch ❤
The first time I saw this, I was just impressed immensely. Second and third times, when I realize that each one of those was an individual recording, verbally mixed together and visually put together, I was a bit gob smacked. And I think you are spot on about his growth in video work. And has to his voice, nothing really needs to be said other than he is an absolutely outstanding vocalist. So glad you reviewed this.
One of my favorites from Dan, thank you. Beautifully sung and must have taken tons of time and work. And he is so funny. If you didn't notice, at 4:52, top left level, second image he actually looks at his watch LOL 😊 Enjoy your reactions very much and have subbed to your channel.
This boy is a true combination of talent, hard work and determination!!!! She literally becomes the song she sings and draws you into her world. Dan's music absolutely blew me away. He seems to have a very good head on his shoulders and a wonderful sense of humor. A special young man.
Awesome performance by all 24 Dans. I think there were actually at least twice that number of recordings that he made to produce this amazing sound. I believed he referred to it as a moment of insanity. We will take a crazy Dan any day. Thanks Charlie for your great reaction and I will always look forward to more.
Thank you so much for playing this. It’s imbedded in American history. It was written during the Civil War, thus “ as He died to make men holy let us live to make men free”. ( Men at that time meant all humanity.) During WWII it regained popularity and power. That one line was a call to action to free Europe from tyranny and to release those who were in the Concentration Camps. The impact on the American soldiers who were the first to reach those Camps is indescribable. Again, it was a rallying cry for the Civil Rights Movement. No group does it like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Again thank you!.
Dan actually recorded each of those 24 little Dans 4 times each to select the best for each original recording to be layered. That's a lot of recording! He threw in a bit of humor, too in some of them. The "pushing the earphone back in" motion you mentioned in this was more likely Dan cupping his ear to make hearing his own voice more accurate. A good singer must be able to hear his own voice accurately to hit the correct pitch. This tecnique allows the singer to better hear the pitch of his voice and allows him to modulate his voice while singing. This is used a lot in his soprano section, 😅. Love your Dan reactions ... hope you do more Dan soon! ❤😊
There were actually a few times he was playing around. The one next to the watch one, was raising his eyebrows a few times and the next row down the far right ones he was looking at himself - absolutely crazy, in a wonderful way!
What a masterpiece from Dan. With the possibilities he had 8 years ago, it was an incredible and crazy version. Would Dan do it again today? I don't think so..... Thank you for your continued support and wonderful reaction to this epic cover from Dan. thanks for sharing....?
If you watch each Dan, he’s always doing something different. The one on the top left second Dan in, at the the end he looks at his watch while holding a long note. Bottom left corner Dan, when the sopranos are singing, he’s pointing up as if to let you know they’re going to go higher. Pretty much have to watch it 24 times and just focus on one Dan at a time 🤣
Great to see you review classical works Charlie! Nice to learn from you about the technical aspects of the production (not knowing the first thing of how a single person can sing some 24 different parts). "He absolutely destroyed it!" and "A lot of fun to listen to." Amen!
I love this piece by Dan, but what made it fun was to watch your face - the constant smile and the eyebrows doing their thing! Thanks for a great reaction as always!
This video by Dan Vasc has massive range, sound and power. It's perfect! I can't even imagine how much work went into this masterpiece ! Thank you for your reaction !😊
I've seen another of his videos where he has 4 screens of Dan singing backup to himself.. I thought that was amazing, but this is. utterly remarkable. My grandmother took me to the Preforming Art Center at age 8 to see Handel's Messiah. It was her favorite. I got a healthy dose of opera as she had old 78rpm records of Enrico Carouso, and some of the older great voices of opera.. Thanks to you for inviting viewers on your superb musical adventures. Truly grateful. 😃😃😃❤❤❤
It's incredible the amount of preparation it must have taken to produce this masterpiece by the master himself! He is a driven perfectionist and I remain in awe of everything he does! Thank you Charlie. I love your reactions and keep up the great work.
Thank you. You pointed out things I hadn’t noticed. The whole chior effect must have been a monumental amount of work. Given that this was done in a bedroom, very early in his career, it is sung extremely well. What a challenge he set for himself. The effect of all the different parts of the chior is sung amazingly well.
This is one of my very favorites by Dan. It's an absolute work of art. He sprinkles little bits of humor in it, too. You almost have to watch it numerous times & watch each "Dan" to catch everything, but the top left Soprano at the end taking that super long breath makes me laugh along with the other where he checks his watch (if he's actually wearing a watch) while holding that long note. From what I understand, even though you see 24 "Dans," there were actually somewhere around 270+ takes to create this incredible feat. Having sung this as a Soprano 1 in choir when I was young, this blows my mind every time I watch/hear it. It's definitely a phenomenal endeavor executed perfectly. I couldn't wait to see your reaction. 😊
Marvelous. Thanks, Charlie. I sang The Messiah in a choir for over 20 years. It truly is a great piece of music. My hats off to Dan for singing all four parts. Not an easy task.
I was speechless when I heard and saw it for the first time. And he didn't just make these 24 recordings, he made a few more so he could choose the best ones. The work behind it is insane, but the result is phenomenal!!!! Thank you so much for your response, I would love to see more from Dan.
I would love to have you hear and react to these two songs of Dan's: "Black Wind Fire and Steel" by Manowar (time the last note that he holds and let me know what you think) and "Take on Me" by A-HA.
Wow! Incredible!! Hallelujah!
I would LOVE to see your reaction to Dan's cover of Rhapsody of Fire's "Son of Pain". It's hands down his most hauntingly beautiful song with some of his most powerful vocals. It will give you chills! ❤

Oww by the way,in the beginning he recorded this in his bedroom,!!
And he had only his phone and laptop in beginn..

He's amazing! And humorous. Did you see when he checked his watch 😅🤣😂 ❤❤❤
There were actually a few times he was playing around. The one next to the watch one, was raising his eyebrows a few times and the next row down the far right ones he was looking at himself - absolutely crazy, in a wonderful way!
Dan said he did 274 takes to do this and sound good..
The most insane cover he did😇
Just the editing Dan had to do is mind blowing and then doing all vocal parts !!!
@@Caradoc17 it would take me years 🙄😇
The beautiful thing about this video is the harmonization which is perfect, better impossible, tks dear
Mais um brasileiro brilhando nesse universo...

Fabulous Dan❣️Thank you for your reaction 😀👍
Thank you Charlie Smith! I love Dan's version of this song! He is so tremendously talented!
Great reaction to a great performance..

Hi Charlie, thanks. This was awesome, I like to just watch a section and see what all the Dan’s are up to in their little booths😊
I love this piece by Dan, but what made it fun was to watch your face - the constant smile and the eyebrows doing their thing! Thanks for a great reaction as always!

What fun! Ive payed in the orchestra or sung this for over 40 years. Refreshing take on it.

I so agree with you. First time I heard it, I was just blown away!

Eu gosto!!❤
Unbelievable!! Love Dan. Thanks for reacting!! ❣
Thanks for taking my request, Charlie! ❤ Dan's versatility is the main reason I'm a fan. I'm glad you liked it!
Have you reacted to Dan Vasc's Bohemian Rhapsody? I think you might get a kick out of that one too.
Just mind boggling this video! The amount of effort this took is just amazing!
Brilliant, phenomenal, I’ve run out of words.❤
I was speechless when I heard and saw it for the first time. And he didn't just make these 24 recordings, he made a few more so he could choose the best ones. The work behind it is insane, but the result is phenomenal!!!! Thank you so much for your response, I would love to see more from Dan.
Great reaction! I don’t know how he even thinks this stuff up!!
With his brain, i suspect.
I was speechless the first time I heard this. Brilliant!

Love the T-shirt!!! One Love ❤
Thank you for your reaction. Always learn something from you. Do you consider Dans garage to be a booth? He has recorded there for years
Ayy, if it has a mic and you're recording vocals in it, it's a booth 😂😂
@@TheCharlieSmithChannel a big booth
Carols by Candlelight in Melbourne do the Hallelujah Chorus every year. Huge choirs & orchestra. Its always brilliant
Did you see Dan check his watch?
Super!! Shall we be friends?
