- We recently took a trip down memory lane when we tested the new Hyundai i20, which happens to have been Alex's first car. We explore the similarities & improvements between the older models and this, the completely new Hyundai i20 1.0 TGDI Fluid.

I’ve just taken delivery of a new i20 N-Line here in the uk and for some reason we get the led headlamps amd a full digital dash. I haven’t got wireless Apple CarPlay!

Great review Alex but sorry man, those rear lights with the black glass effect looks awful. The rimms too. Were I to buy this model the wheels would be changed out for 17"and perhaps body colour wrap that black glass effect with body colour.
Great Nostalgia trip, the new i20 is just not that fantastic in my opinion, especially compared to the Suzuki Vitara Brezza/Urban Cruiser and the Nissan Magnite, if it was priced like the Baleno/Starlet then it would be a better value option hatchback, unfortunately Hyundai has targeted Polo with with this i20, but it cannot be compared to that, the latest Polo is not a value buy at all. If you want left field the Haval Jolion is more value than this i20, I guess the sales stats will either support my opinion or prove me wrong.
And you are right that 1.0 Turbo probably wont last long if driven without care, and out of warranty it will be very expensive if something goes wrong, I guess thats why it has a 7 year/200 000 km warranty

Thank you for highlighting the issue of unavailability of LED DRL and larger infotainment system which is available on the European and Asian markets.
Hyundai is undermining the SA market, and that makes me mad. If I were to choose between this and a Polo, I'd go for a Polo without even blinking.
2021 and yet they still don't offer a panoramic sunroof on the check list 😕 but they want to take on the polo? For 10 points, tell me what kind of stupid is hyundai and what colour you're polo will be 😂

Guys, what is going on in the world - that one can get excited over an i20? isn't there anything more exciting to review rather then a boring i20... Clearly the channel is changing for the worst.
