I saw the Tom Petty Birthday Bash last night.
Susanna Hoffs can do no wrong. She always does justice to the covers she sings, and this is my favorite Tom Petty song, since "Jerry Maguire".
I have a suspicion that her husband, film director Jay Roach, was behind the camera.
My only gripe, the shoes. Susanna just loves to use ugly shoes. Why, Susanna, why? We're all in confinement, but still....
I had to lookup her family as well, that cinematography was just way too good to be some random friend or family. I'm sure it was Jay Roach! Well done.

What an odd idea - do a song-length ad hoc interpretive dance (in sensible shoes!) in the living room while lip-syncing the vocals. And that without obvious edits. Somehow this ends up being compelling and true. Great video and a good cover of the song, true to her artistic gifts and viewpoint. Super cool!
