The studio recording is brilliant, but the simplicity of just him and the keys live with some strings at the end truly elevates the beauty of this song. My future wife doesn't know it yet, but this live recording will be our wedding song!

Just him and his piano is what I like the most I also love Billy, did you ever notice he never did solo concerts? The true genius of Elton, versatility, it's a lot more challenging to take your songs and strip them down for a solo show. Elton needed those challenges. Legend, one of a kind!!
While Billy never did solo concerts, the closest you can get are the QnAs where he performs some songs like New York State Of Mind, Vienna, She's Got A Way, etc. solo. But I do agree Elton is the better pianist and he's a genius.
