The Dream Machine MAME arcade cabinet with Hyperspin
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- This is my full-sized arcade cabinet that I built running MAME and Hyperspin. Named after my favorite arcade from back in the day. The Dream Machine!
If you like my cabinet and want to see more you can check out the build thread on BYOAC forums here:

That has to be a cleanest wiring job I've seen. To sum it up in one word = Amazing!
crazykong1967
Thank you!
this is stunning. you've got some serious chops to be able to make something as tidy as this! maybe one day i'll have my own hyperspin cabinet...
Thank you! Go for it man. Build one! :)
Arcade that we used to hang out in here where I live back in the 1980s was called dream machine same logo. Man I miss going to the arcade that one in particular.
We're still open in Walpole Massachusetts! Sadly we'll be shutting down our last location here on October 14th, 2024
Absolutely stunning.
Very professionally built. Looks like something a high end cabinet manufacturer would create. Attention to detail!! I love the graphics and the homage to your childhood hangout is touching. When I was in high school we spent our lunch breaks and weekends at Butterfly.. The local arcade. Too bad it's been torn down too.
Love the video.
Hey thanks man. Yeah I cherish those memories. Now if I could just build a time machine. lol
Craig S with your skills, I wouldn't be surprised!
I have checked almost all arcade builds on UA-cam - nothing comes close to what you have build there sir. It is indeed a dream machine
Beautiful machine you made there, man. And I LOVE what you did with the wiring! So many people get that part wrong. They build wonderful arcade cabinets and make a mess of the wires.
You did everything right. Thank you for sharing this.
+Michiel van Leeuwen
Thanks for the compliments! It was a labor of love. :)
You must be the neatest guy in the world.
The inside is so tidy & organized. Nice Job!
Hey thanks. :)
Beautiful looking machine. That boot time was incredibly quick.
Thanks man. The SSD makes all the difference. I also optimized startup services to make it as fast as I could.
Craig. A professional would be proud of that build. Clean, clean wiring skills. I am impressed. That name for your arcade machine couldn't be more fitting. :)
+Mikee Remastered
Thank you sir.
The hyperspin just kicks it up about three levels very nice.
Thanks. Hyperspin is quite a flashy front end. Always impresses people when they see it for the first time.
Awesome looking arcade cabinet. Great Job! I'm in the process of converting my bartop into a full size cabinet. Thanks for the video.
Thanks man. I had a lot of fun making it. Good luck with yours and have fun!
That's one heck of a job. I think well built arcade cabinets qualify as art. You should be very proud this one. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a lot man.
Having worked for Dream Machine for 9 years, I have to say this is pretty awesome.
Always thought it would be cool to work there back in the day. Thanks for the compliment!
I hope you are still enjoying this beauty. Such a clean and professional build! ... I have watched many arcade build vids, and yours is easily in the top 5 ( Honestly I would put it at number one though for build quality ). Very well done!
Thank you very much sir.
This has got to be the best arcade cabinet I have ever seen.
Thanks so much!
Craig S No problem.
You are the Freaken Pablo Picasso of the arcade world. A gorgeous piece of art !!!!
+Will V
Lol. Thanks dude. :) I love your avatar by the way! You must also be a child of the 70's.
Absolutely beautiful. A Dream Machine indeed. Thank you so much for sharing the plans!
Thanks man!
Looks great! Very impressed by your attention to detail how everything fits flush and clean looking. I'm in the process of starting a full sized cabinet build myself. It won't be quite as fancy as yours, but hopefully it comes out ok. Subscribed.
Thanks! Just take your time and enjoy the process. As long as you're happy with it thats all that maters. :)
Hey Craig S!! THANK YOU for the information on the SMART STRIP!! It was exactly what i needed. My build came out turned out awesome and the marquee lights, coin door lights, speakers and monitor turn off and on when the power to the computer is tuned off and on...just like you said. Thanks Again Bro!
+Stacy Corthen Cool! Glad to help. :)
That is a bad ass cabinet man. About to be making one myself, and only hope it looks this good.
Thanks man. Take your time and have fun with it.
@@vidi0t Yeah, for sure. Will be a fun process getting it done.
Lovely looking cab Craig, great job!
Jeremy Roberts
Thank you sir
man that's a cool setup u got there loving the art works
Thanks man. I didn't really notice it until after I had the cab built but that blue background sunburst pattern and the little yellow boarder around the monitor is just like the art used on one of my favorite games "BombJack". I didn't copy it on purpose it just turned out that way. lol.
That's just plain beautiful. GOOD JOB.
+Dennis Petersen Thank you sir!
Dude that is super cool. I'm getting ready to build one now.
Thanks. Take photos and share your progress!
Very clean build !!! I really like your artwork. Things I had build different - 1st Player Balltop and directional cross in yellow because the stars and the DreamMachine Logo is coloured in red and yellow - also it would set off from the blue on the control panel. An other thing I had done different is the kink after the curve in the side panels above the monitor where the yellow star is positioned. I had finished the curve smoothly without that hard kink.........but that's a matter of personal taste.
From my point of view this arcade machine is one of the best I've seen so far.... CONGRATULATION and have fun with it. :)
+zauche81
Thanks man. I love it the way it is. :)
Beautiful cab, fantastic work
Absolutely love the arcade, found your video while doing research for building my own. Was most interested in making an arcade with a trackball so I can play capcom bowling and more importantly golden tee. Saw that you built pretty much what I am looking in to doing! Great job!
What encoder board did you put in there?
Thanks man. I used the Ultimarc IPAC2 encoder.
Wow man congrats what a great build, best part of life was going to the arcades as a kid keep up the great work man 😀
Arcade Obsessed
Thank you! I have some great memories in the arcades.
Want to see more gameplay with trackball or knob. Excellent work man.
SIIIICCCKK. Dude you outdid yourself. Your next project is building me a X-Arcade type stand alone just like your control panel setup. So I can use it on pc with MAME. I can't believe I can't just buy something simple somewhere to play pac man type 4 way games proper. Nice job dude. And I had a chuckle when I seen quarters in the corner, hadn't seen that in decades man.
hdtv00
Thanks man.
Beautiful work! Im making my own as we speak I hope it turns out as half as nice as yours!
Thanks! Hope you'll post a vid at some point. I'd love to see it. Take care!
This is a THE ONE.... been looking for a great layout that includes 8x sticks, spinner and trackball. TEMPEST would be the first thing we'd play! For a long time... wish you did have a company making these for us without the skills.
And thank you for sharing this, and the plans are brilliant ... I gotta agree with the "piece of art" comment.
+Bob H
Thanks for the kind words. :)
have to ask - how did you come about the design for this beauty? What tools did you need? So much going on there...
I made a lot of sketches of cabinet shapes until I decided on this one. The artwork was something I spent a lot of time messing about in Paint Shop Pro until I settled on the blue burst pattern. I'd say some important tools are a jigsaw, drill, and a router with a slot cutting bit for t molding and a flush trim bit.
love the controll setup
Wow that is awesome, you got some serious DIY skills there mate.....ps loved the mooncrester sound FX at the start and end :-)
Thanks man.
Incredible!!! I need one of those cabs. you should start your own company.
+RyoGamestation
Thanks. I must say that would be a dream job to build these for a living.
I would buy one!! How much would you estimate you'd have to sell one for to make it worth while for ya?
I'm sorry man I don't have the time to build another to sell.
+Craig S $5000
Dude this MAME cab is off the hook! I used to pump many a quarter into the Dream Machine down at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH back in the day. If I ever make a MAME cab I'm soooo ripping off your design!
Sorry I never replied sooner. Thanks for the compliments! The Dream Machine was my favorite arcade. Please do rip off the design. :) Check out the plans. Link in the description. I'd love to see some pics or a video of your cab.
Looks awesome! I need to get one of these for my mancave!
Thanks. Do it! ;)
That is an awesome machine. Looks professional.
Thank you!
This build is AWESOME! Nice job!
+Stacy Corthen
Thank you very much.
+Craig S how did you get the machine to power up with the one button you created. I want to do that with my cabinet but don't know where to start
+Stacy Corthen I used a smart power strip. The computer is plugged into the Master port so when it is turned on everything else comes on and when it is shut off everything else is turned off. Check it out:
Smart Strip 4941 Energy Saving Surge Protector with Autoswitching Technology, 7-Outlet www.amazon.com/dp/B000P1QJXQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_MhE8wb0WW4KDE
+Craig S very cool! thanks for your help! I really appreciate it! !
+Stacy Corthen
No problem. Good luck with your build!
What a great looking DIY machine. One of the best ones on youtube. Have you plans for a bloke feeling just as nostalgic?
Thanks mate. I have some basic plans I made up. Link is in the description.
Oh that's fantastic! Thanks a million buddy.
Awesome job! You may want to consider doing this for others on the side (for a fee of course), because you obviously have some serious skills with this.
Thanks man. I wish I could but I just dont have the time or a good place to work on more than one thing at a time. ;)
thats not just a mame cab, thats a f&*$)% piece of art
+John Phillips
Thank you sir. That is quite a compliment. :)
Really Nice Clean Build Looks Uber Professional
Thanks man.
i got a dead silver strike bowling cabinet coming this weekend most likely going to convert it to a mame arcade
Awesome. Those cabs are great if you have room for them. They are kinda big.
yeah there ***** massive
you made a really good work here, congratulations :)
+mayorre
Thank you!
Those sounds so represent the arcade experience
Fantastic, just beautiful.
+Joe Santiago
Thank you sir.
Beautiful Arcade!
+R3d N3cK
Thanks!
very professional made! love it
+Cilit Bang Thanks
It's Beautiful* I Love The Design and Side Art Graphics.
Thank you!
Nice and clean, great job bud
wow flash back of the coolest kind!!
The Space Station was our local Arcade. Love your artwork! Quick question. Reading the BYOAC forums those building 2 player cabinets seem to add usb ports in order to play 3 - 4 player mame games. But xbox pads are seen as player 1-4 lights in the order they are plugged in. I was hoping to use joystick as 1 & 2 and Xbox as 3 & 4 but (2) Xbox's plugged will show up as player 1 & 2 also. Any Suggestions? Thank You
Thanks Marty. My control panel controls are connected to an iPac2 encoder which I have configured to function as keyboard inputs. I have not attempted to connect extra control pads for 3 and 4 player. I would imagine you would just need to set up the controls in the emulators you are using. You might go ahead an connect all the controllers then configure your controls in the emulator you are using then just leave them hooked up.
Nice build man!
Thanks!
Thanks
awesome build!
Wow, really nice work. You didn't happen to document the actual build did you? will be checking our your plans tonight.
+Mello Kevt
Yeah I documented it on a thread at BYOAC here: forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,145188.0.html
Gorgeous!
Amazing work. I'm inspired!
+blackdustydog
Thanks.
This is sick! I want to make one too!
Thanks man. Go for it!
oh my god! you have just inspired me to build one for myself. ma i get back at you if i have questions regarding the plans?
Thats awesome. I'll help if I can.
Wow man that's fantastic I want one but I'm not real handy such a great job
Thanks!
Nice job all the way around
+Brown Trout
Thank you very much!
+Craig S How did you hide the windows boot screen?
+Derpku I used a little program called Instant Sheller to create a custom loading screen and hide Windows
Amazing job, one of the best arcade cabinets I've seen. Very well organised, nice, colourful, a true arcade experience. Congrats!!! I want to start building an arcade cabinet based on your plans, of course with a different theme. I don't want to add the tracking ball and the spinner in it, so I can move the buttons a little bit down. My main question is related to the screen. Based on your plans, can I put a bigger screen then yours without modify the dimensions of the cabinet? I was thinking at a 27" lcd display. There is enough space to insert this screen size?
I inside width dimension is 24". I measured my computer's 27" monitor at 25" wide so I'm not sure it would fit. If you de-cased the monitor first it might fit but would probably be really close. Thank for the compliments and good luck with your build!
Very nice cabinet, love the artwork. I'm tempted to make a cabaret cabinet, (not sure if spelt cabaret correct, chrome auto corrected me).
Just like the small form factor and plus it's lighter on the wallet for a first project ( if only i can ignore my first attempt at a cabinet. lol It was not good to say the least)
+Leighton Williams
Thanks. Go for it. I would still like to build a cabaret cab sometime myself. I love the size of them.
+Leighton Williams
Thanks! Good luck on your build. Have fun with it.
Amazing! This is what I am looking for to build my own mame cabinet. Would you be willing to share the actual cabinet and control panel plans?
Keith Nathanson
Thanks. I'm working on putting some plans together. I'll update the video description with a link to the plans as soon as I can get them finished. I designed this myself and I kinda fly by the seat of my pants so to speak so my plans aren't too detailed but I would like to get the basic sizes and dimensions out there for anyone that would like to use them.
Keith Nathanson
Plans are now available in the description. :)
Total respect! Not sure if I have the know how or the patience to build my own but I definitely will end up getting something similar one day for my channel. Is Hyperspin the go to frontend for Mame these days? I've kinda lost track of the Mame scene in the last 5 years or so.
Thanks! There are many front ends out there these days. I do like the look of hyperspin and it does seem to still be a favorite with many builders. It's a pain to learn how to configure but worth the effort I think.
Best i've seen on youtube
Wow. Thank you!
Very cool ! Top notch arcade build man! I am building one myself from an old arcade cabinet so I have been watching videos like yours for better/more ideas, so I have a few questions if I may. Who did your artwork for you? did you do it like on photoshop and had someone make it or did you send your Idea to a company and they made the artwork and put it on like a vinyl sheet? I have Ideas for my artwork but don't know how go about it ...I'm more technical and woodworking type of guy..I built my own Hyperspin but Im not good at photoshop at all lol ,,and I have no idea how to get it placed onto vinyl sheets for the sides and kick plate and such...my original idea was to use different artwork from my favorite games like Galaga on one side and Gorf on the other.. so on, so on ..but thats pretty expensive and I would rather my arcade be all my idea ..Kinda like yours :)
Thanks! I did my own artwork. I use Paint Shop Pro. You could check out the BYOAC forums (link the in the description). There are people there who you can commission to do artwork. I used the services of one of the forum members there to print my artwork for me. It's printed on adhesive backed vinyl. If you haven't done so already, I recommend you download my plans from the link in the description and check out the parts list in the back. Nice artwork is expensive though but it really makes a difference in the appearance.
Thank you for the info :) When I get to the artwork part of it all, I figure I will end up going all out after all the work I have done . It will be what sets it apart from just another run of the mill 60 in 1. Looks like a nice forum with some great ideas and such... Thank you again and great job on your art too ..I'm going to have to try Paint shop pro myself now that I see the results. :D
We had Dream Machine In N. Adams, MA when I was a kid. I loved that place. Do you have any of the tokens left? What a great bit of nostalgia. Thanks for sharing. I am inspired to make my own now.
+Savage Mind
Thanks man. I have 2 tokens. I mounted one on the top of the spinner knob and one I keep on the bezel ;)
I have been looking online for some myself. the best I can find is $5.00 a piece with shipping. Makes me ill to pay 20x their original value for a arcade token. I know someone has to have some laying around.
Great cab. Seems we've had quite similar ideas in some parts :) I've used the exact same brand of Lexan for my control panel, but I've used 1mm thickness as I didn't want to give in too much joystick-length. However, either all of my MDF shrank or the Lexan grew (of course all meterials work due to temperature and humidity) as the Lexan went wobbly. It just doesn't really fit anymore, it's too big. Have you seen issues like that? What thickness have you used? Also I expected it to be more scratch resistent. The Lexan on my control panel is rather scrated already even of I've used the cab for only about 200 hours or so.
I haven't had any issues with my Lexan.
You did a very nice job looks real clean looking. Where did you get all the side art?
Dude, that's cool yo!
Thanks!
good job bro
Thanks!
Awesome! I saw coins lined up near the monitor, does the machine actually stop when it's game over and you have to insert a coin again to continue? I was thinking that since a PC is inside, you could play all you want. Sorry, totally new to this.
+UsedNabused
The PC emulates the real arcade hardware so when a game is over, it's over. If the arcade game allowed continues then you can insert another quarter and keep playing. While the coin mechs do work to give you a credit in the game , the "insert coin" function can be performed by holding the start button and pushing up on the left joystick. So you can play as much as you want. ;)
awesome machine. what did use for the controller panel? I have been looking at making a arcade but I want a set up simular to yours.
Thanks. Not sure what you're wanting to know. The panel itself is cut from a melamine shelf board. I used an IPAC2 keyboard encoder. The joysticks are Happ Perfect 360 optical, the trackball is a U-Trak from Ultimarc and the action buttons are also Ultimarc gold leaf pros.
Awesome build...very well thought out!!! I was curious were you got those metal brackets that you have behind the monitor to hold it in place?
+kelvinml
Those are actually solar panel mounting brackets. I got mine from a seller on eBay. Here is one of those auctions:
www.ebay.com/itm/New-Sets-of-Solar-Panel-Mounting-Z-Bracket/281489916135?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D845be8f78ae74c6e8bf08df79d35f68d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D171095936624
Awesome...just ordered me some...thanks!!!
very impressive. thanks for sharing.
Thank you. It was a fun build.
Wow! Great cab. How did you get it to boot that fast into hyperspin? Any special tweaks you did? Are you running Hyperspin as the shell?
Thanks man. I am using Hyperspin as the shell. I am running Windows 7 from a solid state hard drive and I went through all the Windows services disabling everything that isn't necessary which reduces boot time a lot. Check out Black Viper's page to see what is safe to disable: www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-7-service-pack-1-service-configurations/
I am looking for one. quick question though. they do you need a i5? max you need is a i3.
Good morning, this black button above the trackball does it serve to run some games?
Where can I find it and could you give me some tips on how to configure it?
I think you are referring to the spinner control. It's not a button, but a spinner used in games such as Tempest and Arkanoid. It plugs in using USB and functions just like a mouse or trackball but only on one axis (horizontal). No special configuration required. Mine is a "Tornado" spinner. Not sure who sells them now. I have seen them on eBay. I purchased a Tempest style knob for mine because I like that look and feel but there are many different styled knobs to use as well.
its a Paddle controller like for Super Breakout on Atari
can you elaborate on the vinyl art. what is required to make this
I created the artwork on my PC using a program called Paint Shop Pro. I then shared the art with a guy who does the printing on laminated adhesive-backed vinyl and he shipped it to me. The application of the artwork can be a little tricky. There are several youtube videos with tutorials for applying vinyl artwork to an arcade cabinet if you need help with that. There are many sources for having artwork printed for you. I am in the United States and so I used a guy here. Let me know if you want his contact info.
your blueprints are perfect!
This will be my summer project for sure!
But isn't an i5 overkill for arcade games?
+A bowl of Miso soup
Thanks. I hope they are useful. Let me know if you document your build somewhere. I'd love to see it. And yeah you are right that an i5 is probably overkill. I think an i3 would work just fine but I do have a few Steam games installed and I wanted to make it somewhat future-proof.
Craig S Yes, they will be very useful ;)
It's the best cabinet design I came across so far and the drawings are precise. I'll just have to convert to metric. :)
And yes, I'm probably gonna upload my work somewhere. I'll let you know when i'll start ;)
+A bowl of Miso soup
Cool! Good luck. :)
Can you provide a bit more details about software you used. Buttons for arcade, controller board.. etc. I plan to build this thing on my own and would like a PC to run it but i only know software for raspberry... i have no programing skills .. soo.. And yes, this is a work of art. Bravo...
+CodeXploit
I would first recommend downloading the plans that I linked to in the description. The last page is a parts list showing what I used and where I got my stuff from. I documented the build in the BYOAC forum here: forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,145188.0.html
As far as software, I used Windows 7 and Hyperspin frontend for MAME. If you have no experience with emulators on a PC you might want to just try and buy a preconfigured hyperspin hard drive online and use that. I can't provide links to that but if you do some searching around online you will find people selling preconfigured Hyperspin setups. I encourage you to check out the BYOAC and Hyperspin forums and try to do it yourself though. Thanks for the comments. And post your progress on BYOAC forum. ;)
+Craig S i have skills with computers but not with programing.. i tought you used some arduino i would need ro program. can i use an ipac board with that software.
+CodeXploit
No Arduino used. Just a PC motherborad, SSD hard drive with Windows 7 installed running Hyperspin. I used an IPAC2 for the keyboard controller connected to USB.
Hi. The power adapter on the outside of your cabinet, is it and IEC320 C14? Also how did you connect your power strip to it? Thanks.
I don't know the model number of the power socket. I think I just bought one off ebay. Here is a link showing how to wire. The part you are looking for is near the bottom of the page. wiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/Wiring
@@vidi0t Great, thank you again Craig.
How much was the total cost for the Build? How much time would it take a person to build over the weekend?
+Blue CONVERSE
I probably spent a total of about $2000 on my cabinet. As for the other question, I don't think it's possible to build a cabinet like mine over a weekend. I spent about 5 months on mine. I designed the whole cabinet and my own artwork. I had to have the artwork printed and mailed to me. I had to order most of the parts I used. All of those things take time. If you had every piece cut perfectly and every part you needed for completion including the artwork AND you already had the computer setup and all software configured and controls mapped it might be possible to put together over a weekend. I don't really think anyone builds one like that though. You always run into issues and problems to work out. Hope that helps.
,
I couldn't tell, was that a standard WS monitor that is calibrated for square display, or was it actually a square monitor? Also, did you sub out the graphics printing for the artwork?
The monitor is a 4:3 aspect NEC. I made the artwork myself and had it printed by a guy on BYOAC forum.
Needs a bigger screen, but other than that this is an awesome cabinet indeed.
+Peter Zwart
Thanks man. I bought the largest 4:3 LCD I could find. I'm quite happy with the size of the screen in relation to the rest of the cabinet. It's a 21.3" NEC.
Awesome!
+fermio100 Thanks!
How many games are on this system?
I used to have a front end MAME program and about 7000 ROMs on my computer but lost everything when I had a catastrophic crash of my system several years ago.
Can you activate any cheats for the games? I remember just wanting to come home from work, activating "invincibility", and then just shooting the shit out of everything!
It was a nice stress reliever. :-)
Good job!!
I don't have the skill to build something like this myself. Do you or does anyone reading this know of some place that does?
+Garry Robinson
I only have the MAME emulator installed and only a few hundred games on it. I don't need the whole MAME ROM set on there. I mean I have them so I can always add games later. I think it does support cheats but I've never looked into using them.
As far as places that will build a cab for you, there are many out there. DreamArcades is just one example: www.dreamarcades.com/index.html
Cheers.
Just Google X-Arcade
Is there any specific reason why you use a wired instead of a wireless network connection?
Not really. I just prefer wired over wireless whenever I can use it. I don't leave it connected all the time.
Hi, me again. Another question, how does your monitor auto start on boot up? Is it a monitor feature or is there some wiring that needs to be done?
The monitor is plugged into the same power strip as the rest of the components. When the computer turns on the smart power strip turns on the rest of the devices on the power strip. Once the power button is turned on it stays in the "On" state unless the monitor's power button is pressed again so it always powers up with everything else. Just about every monitor I have ever seen does this.
@@vidi0t LOL I asked a dumb question, but thanks again for answering. All the best to you.
@@MrArrylay No dumb questions. I was just hoping I could explain it OK. God bless.
@@vidi0t You explained it well, thanks again.
what's the name of control panel hinge? Where can I buy it?
It's called an offset piano hinge. I got mine from a seller on eBay.
@@vidi0t thank you!
Seems like you plans have a mixture of ideas on it. The base is different from your picture/video and you left out a couple of pieces in the plans. "H" from the back view and "B" from the front view.
Hey thanks for letting me know. I fixed the plans on my dropbox. Follow the link in the description. You have great perception! That photo of the base in the slide show was when it was a work in progress. I ended up making a slight change to the final design and I never photographed it. Really I just needed to bring the front wheels closer to the front of the cab. It wants to tilt forward some when pushing it from behind. The plans are accurate to the way I finished it. Thanks again!
only because i was trying to build my own off your plan. i went to put the back panel on and realized the opening was larger than 31.5 inches . :)
OMG you're right! I'm sorry about that! Hope I don't have any more typos in there. I updated the plans again. The correct height of the back door is 36 3/4". I just measured it from my cab. Please let me know if you find any other typos.
What about doing it with an CRT TV? Is it going to be too big?
With the angle of the screen in my cabinet a CRT wouldn't fit. You would need to make the cabinet deeper.
Nice!
Amazing Dude! Did U Paint It Yourself Also??
+ASHTREFISHER
I didn't order the cabinet I made it myself and there is very little paint on it. Only the front panel under the control panel is painted wood. Everything else is black melamine board. The side art is printed vinyl.
Craig S Oh Cool How Much Would You Charge To Make Me One?
+ASHTREFISHER
Hard to answer questions like this. I probably spent over $1500 in parts alone on this one as well as 100's of hours of work. I would have to charge way more than anyone would pay. You should check out some companies online like www.dreamarcades.com/ or dreamauthentics.com/
Craig S I Understand Man It Does Seem Like Alot Of Work
is there any other social network I can contact you on (other than youtube) or maybe do you have an e-mail address ? I have a couple of questions concerning the dimensions given on your plans would be really really nice
I added a link to the build thread over at BYOAC forums in the video description. My username is Vidiot. If you aren't already a member there I recommend you register there. You should post your build progress in the "Project Announcement" board. Also, I'll try to answer any questions you have. The forum is having some server issues at the moment. If the link doesn't work try again a little later.
Anyone know where I can find the Dream Machine Tokens?
They turn up from time to time on ebay. Just do a search and save the search so they will email you if one turns up. I was lucky to have someone in my local area have a couple he gave me. You might want to post in a local facebook group. Thats how I found mine.
@@vidi0t I found one on Ebay. I'll suck up the price for a bit of nostalgia.
