He doesnt get related to the devil for nothing :-p Like Prometheus and fire, or the serpent and knowledge.... The devil is the best of liars, because all his lies are the truth
It's incredible how *soothing* he sounds. Like he's comforting you, helping you down from something terrible...and right into a grave of sorts. But it sounds like it makes so much *sense* .Like you'd rather be helped down into a grave than struggle for Azura's sake. And to quote Hadestown... "I want a nice soft place to land...I want to lie down forever..." - Eurydice, from *Hello Little Songbird* Nerevar can stop fighting, stop struggling...it's over. It's all over.
“But Nerevar, you have already been cured of your greatest ailment, your mind has been freed, and from your unrelenting devotion, I bring upon you everlasting salvation.” - Fargoth Ur
Additional thoughts: I like to think that the Nerevarine is twisted into a horrific but unique corrupted form by Dagoth-Ur rather than just becoming an Ash Ghoul/Poet.
If only the Godhead (Todd fucking Howard) allowed Nerevar to side with Dagoth instead of making him the Big Bad of the mid 3rd era, I would call Morrowind a 10/10 game. Still, it's better than Skyrim by a large margin, especially in regards to world building, story, quests, and plot. The only thing the later games really have over it is graphical fidelity and nothing more. For instance, The Last Dragonborn (probably Uriel Septim's bastard son, similar to Martin?) spawns in as literal walking plot armor. Alduin should've killed them on the spot, or just waited legit a single second before showing up to the head-chopping function. On the other hand, you have Indoril Nerevar, Hortator of the Great Houses, beloved by the daedric prince Azura. One could argue that the Nerevarine has similar plot armor, but at least in Morrowind, your semi-godhood is partially the plot of the game, and different saves can be interpreted as the same successful incarnation in a different kalpa, thus staying true to the idea of different incarnations. If only there was a feature that let you store an item in the Cavern of the Incarnate, so when you replay the game, you can give youself, say maybe an enchanted cephalopod helmet with 5 light 10 night eye and a permanent bound dagger or some cool shit like that. In the end, Dagoth Ur alone saved Bethesda from Bankruptcy a whole month, year, and 12 days before I was even conceived. For those around my age who wants this game brought to modern platform, I can only sigh in abhorrence to the putrid though of a "Morrowind Remastered." Imagine a Morrowind where you couldn't become the 3rd god in Vvardenfell just by chugging some potions. Yeah, fuck that. I'd rather stick to the original with MWSE and MGE. Also, I HATE OPENMW. WHY DIVIDE THE MODDING SCENE WITH SUCH TRIVIAL BULLSHIT? Oh? You can play Morrowind in VR now? You must be an immersion addict like a Khajit on Skooma or some shit if you even consider playing Morrowind in VR. Morrowind alone makes me nauseous if I play it for extended periods of time (probably my zoomer brain not being used to so much freedom in an Bethesda title, if I had to guess.) I could only imagine how impaired I'd be after doing a few simple quests in Balmora if I ever played in VR. TL:DR Fuck Todd for not making an """evil""" ending for TES:III, Fuck Todd Twice for making the sequel games lackluster in comparison. Fuck the zoomers who want all the old titles remastered instead of enjoying what came before our time, AND FUCK OPENMW FOR BEING A PAIN IN MY BALLS AND SHAFT.
Holy crap dude, this is stunning. I find it interesting that Dagoth Ur inducted, and brought forth, an Argonian (I assume Nerevar is such by his voice) so willingly. What will the other Ash Vampires say?
Wow, this is one of the best ones yet, if not _the_ best :o Btw. was that a mistake at 3:33 or is it actually supposed to be "face-snaked", instead of the other way around?

@@mccreeps69 I've listened to a lot of "dementiacore" albums (Everywhere at the end of time, etc) that use slowed reverb and such so I feel like I've pavolv'd myself to feel dread when I hear it happening. Which works very, very well for this. A+ man. I imagine "going under" in this scenario to be like that point you would be afraid of in actual dementia. The thing you were dreading, the point where you stop realizing something is wrong and just sink into confusion, delusion, and memory loss, ends up being what puts you out of your misery.
"Welcome, Moon and Star, to the... oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were an Argonian..."
You mean, “Farmtool”
I was taking this so seriously until dagoth-ur (he’s a god btw) said “movements of the bone”
You have to remember, many Dunmer end up as obsessed Bonewalkers.
It's a line straight from the in game lore, in one of the 36 Lessons of Vivec.
I've incorporated all of this in my head canon except for the part where almalexia said vivek fucks better.
We all know Nerevar's muatra is bigger than Vivec's.

Dagoth Ur is the definition of doing terrible things with the best of intentions

Ah yes, the good ending.
The ending so many wished for
The ending seems to imply that Dagoth Nerevar becomes a Heartwight like the other Ash vampires
Oh damn, that little detail actually went over my head; of course that's why they'd be 'celebrating' at the Heart Chamber.
Good catch.

Nerevar can stop fighting, stop struggling...it's over. It's all over.
If only there was a "darkside" path you could take in the story
If I was Nerevar I would say: "cure me first" otherwise I'm just a puppet
“But Nerevar, you have already been cured of your greatest ailment, your mind has been freed, and from your unrelenting devotion, I bring upon you everlasting salvation.”
- Fargoth Ur
I thought this was gonna be a meme but it’s straight up incredible and I love it. Well done.
i kinda want to this be canon in TES6 - Dagoth and Neverar team up and become the threat in the east - then Nev kills him again lol
It's impossible sadly since we have info from TES 4 and 5 regarding Nerevar post-TES3
Even as an Ordinator, I have to admit this is pretty great.
This is canon - in my head.
After watching all these memes Kirkbride decided that argonian Nerevarine is indeed the canon
"I do not jest, nerevar."
This should be in game canon cutscene. Amazing
Need a fanfiction/story of this!!!!
Now that we got this tech to synthesize character voices, I wonder if there would be any morrowind mods to take advantage of this.
People are sleeping on this one :(
Except for dagoths sleepers
Additional thoughts: I like to think that the Nerevarine is twisted into a horrific but unique corrupted form by Dagoth-Ur rather than just becoming an Ash Ghoul/Poet.
I am that. You are that. All this is that. O.O
This video is grand and intoxicating 😌
i expected a meme but what i got was so much better
The only acceptable ending!

I gotta say, the quality is godly!
Anyone else enter Dagoth’s lair and want to join him? Just me? Ok. I’ll just bring honor to the Sixth House and the tribe unmourned or whatever.
