Beaucoup de charme dans les dissonances et un travail rythmique impressionnant sans compter une multitude de choses à dire sur ce super pianiste mais ça serait trop long, Alors autant dire l'essentiel avec un grand bravo et un profond respect .
I had heard Solal's name before - I think because he was on a recording I had. I was in the mood for hearing somebody new tonight.... and Wow ! These gentlemen can play. Beautiful. The Moutin brothers are something. It's so exciting to see jazz played at this high level by folks from other countries. There is hope for the world.
What a shame that the one thing lacking from most of Mr. Solal's performances is the most critical and essential element of art -- emotion. His playing is intellectually engaging but devoid of any of the more tender feelings. It just doesn't touch you emotionally. It's like an entire dimension to his playing is missing. But I love what the bassist and drummer are doing. Very different, very interesting.
🙏😊💖the Picasso of Contemporary Jazz music.
Thank you !!!

Une musique riche, de grande invention, d'abondance mélodique, et de profondeur émotionnelle, Merci !

I was lucky to pick up his album "Piano Jazz" from a local flea market some years ago. Very good!
Snap! I found it in the "odd-bin" in a supermarket in Cape Town in the 70's - for a dollar. [ZAR 1.00]. Ever grateful!
Wonderful, thank you for posting

fantastic! how they distil the abstract in such a clear way, it is like they have super powers, thank you
Almost no people, including some musicians, would not understand what´s happening here. Perhaps in a century from now. Genius !

Quelle modernité!Peut-être le plus grand pianiste de ce siècle comme il y à eu un Picasso,il y aura un Solal!
M'etonnerait
As we used to say, "Far out!"
But, it doesn't swing! It "hangs."
