I have the Tamron 17-28 f2.8 and the Sigma 28 - 70 f2.8. Whats great about that combo is they have both a 67mm diameter, so you don't need step up rings and can change your variable ND-filters or pro mist quickly :)
Could you please do a review for Sony 12-24mm f4 vs Sony 12-24mm f.28 vs Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 vs Sony 14mm f1.8 ? I am confused between these, have to choose one. 😀🙂
Very refreshing to see these kinds of reviews being done this year. Your writing is poetic, the triple comparison streamlined what I was looking for. I'm just deciding to get back into photography after 7 years, on a lower budget looking for full frame lenses (I think I've decided on the Sony a7iii for what I want to do) and all the reviews are so old. I look forward to watching your videos as they come out while I'm figuring out my path 😁
Comparing just Tamron vs Sigma--> But Tamron has like up to 8 weather sealing rubber rings or something (even around the rotating zoom and aperture ring to seal off the dust and moisture there)?? But sigma seems to have sealing ONLY at the mount area. So from that, it seems Tamron's is more dust and moisture resistant than Sigma? Not sure if my understanding is correct?
Definitely try out the Sony 16-35 F4 PZ. It's my everyday studio lens for talking head videos and convention/corporate work where lighting is predictable, consistent, and YES it has the AF/MF switch plus it's small and light! (Sony A74 is what I use with this lens - made for each other)
Great review bro. Looking to pick up the sigma for the extra mm wide end. I’m worried about the distortion though. Would Sony in camera lens correction fix the distortion do you think on the wide end ?
I have an A6000 and after 8 years it's almost dead, Viewfiner doesn't work, doesn't recognise the lens have the time. Anyway I have the 55-200mm Sony lens and all I photograph is wildlife, everything from Hummingbirds to Frogs. Would love to know if 18-300m is the next step up for me and also what new body should I get? The 55-200 doesn't cut the mustard anymore, it's crap aperture and just not crispy at all. People are suggesting A6400. My budget is around 1k USD.
any recommendations for travelling? I am looking forward to buy an a7c + sigma 16-28 and I wanna get another lens will the kit lens good enough? Or should I get a sigma 28-70 but I’m little bit concerned about its not really WR cause I am heading to Iceland
My first time watching one of your videos. I like your reviews and we'll check out some more of your videos. You could have left off the part about spilling the water but besides that I enjoy the rest of your vid, my brother. Peace. Liked and subbed.
Hey, thanks for the wonderful review. I am a travel Vlogger with run and go style vlogging. I need to have my face as well as a clear background in my frame while shooting. Considering I’m going to use this on Sony A74 with Gorillapod attached (Gimbal very less frequently), which of the three lenses would you suggest me, considering stabilisation is an important factor as well! Also, 4th option that I have is of Sony 16-35 f2.8 GM. Thanks already!

As a vlogging lens, would say the sigma is better than tamron one? That extra 1mm! haha but the distortion on sigma haha. Also, great review! Your reviews are always straight to the point but with more than enough information.
@@KenseiAkatsu I only have 2 choices, Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 or Sony 16-35mm f4 zeiss , because next month I will be in Japan, so can you recommend me which one? I need a good result for landscape
Just about to buy my first camera since a Nikon d700… 90% camping/hiking videos and probably a lot of low light, decided on an a7c and Sony 20mm f1.8… still not convinced on the prime lens though. Any thoughts? Latest Videos on my channel are with DJI action 4.
Agreed I'm a big fan of the 16-35 F4 PZ which I use regularly for my needs. If I need a faster lens, I pull out my prime 20mm or 14mm F1.8 or 35mm F1.4.
@@YanFries well I can't argue with that. But I shoot real estate with wide angle lenses and F4 is fine. If I want some Bokeh, I simply shoot closer to the subject as the close focusing distances are always short for wide angles.
No, colour doesnt matter. If You Dont edit your photos You Dont need expensive full frame camera. You can even set this up in body. Dont act like Fuji noobs with color as they only argument in a discussion. 2.8 is WAY more important just like weight when You shooting outsider on a trip.
Give up with Sony, they make superb lenses, but releasing g lenses with stupid focal lengths like 16-25 ( 25 has no reach...) and an asking price of £1250...give us some solid options like a 16-55mm g, classic kit lens focial length but with G quality??!
Thank you for watching as always!!
Stay tuned in for the next great comparison!!
That would be... yeah anyway stay tuned in!!

The new Tamron 20 - 40 🔥🔥🔥

New 16-35 PZ f/4 is amazing for video. No focus breathing is amazing.
Yes it is!!!
The new Sony 16-35mm f4 FE PZ G lens would be an interesting contender too… have you tried it?
Yup!!
There is a video about it!
great video
which lens you think is more versatile for social media tamron 17-28mm or 20-40mm?
Thanks!
Tamron 20-40 f2.8!!
Can you please compare to the 16-35 PZ? That’s a superior lens to the Zeiss in all reviews
I tend to grab the Sigma. The internal zoom and the 1mm more on the wide end seems legit to me.
I know, that 1mm is huge!

We need an updated version of this with 16-35 2.8 GMII and 16-25 2.8 G
what about Sony 16-35mm PZ?
there is an update for this lens, ver.02 released last november 2022, was it able to fix the autofocus (hunting) problem? thank you!

Like Tamron 35-150mm??

Is there any internal distortion correction for the sigma when doing video?
I don't know, but i guess it doesn't have like that
And what about the stabilization ? Is there any difference ? Thanks
As I used, not that much!
Great video! I'm undecided. Among these 3, which one do you think works best for home interior photos and for travel photos?
Sigma!
I really like your video... very well edited too :) Greetings from Northern Ireland :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
You forget to say that sony is OSS is image estabilization motors inside thanks bro

Man, does the tamron have stabilization?
In my opinion the best option is Tamron because of its light, great AF, and humble distortion. Thank you for that comparison!

Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 or sony 16-35mm Zeis F4. Who is better?
What about a new option, "Tamron 20-40mm F2.8"

I think the new sony 16-35 F4 pz will smother all of these easily, it will only beaten in the areas where f2.8 is required.
Exactly.. If someone needs 2.8 than the 16-35 pz is useless.. it won't "smother" any of these lenses. 🙄
Interesting
I will try it soon!

they are not equal, you need to do photo tests

sigma 2.8 is KING a all day so tamron for me gimbal best
Why would someone compare a F4 to F2.8 lense? It makes no sense!
obviously bec of the price range. it makes sense for him, it's his video. Why dont u mke your own comparison video.
Because these lens tend to be used more for landscapes, and for landscapes you’re usually using f8-f22
I’m glad he did. I wanted to know.
